  2. Wally Downes has been sacked as AFC Wimbledon boss over breaching betting rules. Firstly, banned for four weeks. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50097011 Following that, parted company with the club: - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50119419 Glyn Hodges has taken over as permanent manager after being caretaker during the suspension of his former boss. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50152979 One thing that surprises me about this story is that he has been guilty of a similar offence before when he was with QPR. I thought the penalty would have been harsher based on that.

  6. Is the ankle better now Mack? I have decided to join a local gym up the road just for swimming as that was my main sport when I was younger. Hopefully all being well, start tomorrow. ^_^
  7. He was 90 and very frail, so it was expected. I contacted him regularly for years, I admired him for his determination to cling to life and his independence. I will never forget him. He was the family member who nurtured my love of historical architecture

  19. It's a crazy system, it is not just the general public who need Hansard's to see what has been said in Parliament. They are like a bunch of unruly children who disrupted classes at school or so I have always thought...
  20. One of my local MPs is an outsider for the role of Speaker.
  21. Barman from one of the bars?
