South Africa have eliminated Afghanistan and are through to the Men's T20 World Cup final. England Women have beaten New Zealand Women in their opening ODI yesterday.
  2. I have noticed that Carlisle's first home fixture (second week) is against Barrow. Cumbrian derby.

India face England in the semi-final of the Men's T20 World Cup. Australia are on the brink here. They need Bangladesh to win against Afghanistan in order to face South Africa in the other semi-final.

Indeed, that was a shock. There's also Uganda's first ever win in the World Cup against Papua New Guinea as well.
  8. That's one of the decisions that could end up biting the board at the football club on the bum...
  9. I remember the day his daughters took over the Sky broadcast... R.I.P. Rob Burrow.

The USA have won the opening match of this year's Men's T20 World Cup against Canada. 4 half centuries in this match, with one being one big hit away from a century.

England Men's World Cup preparations have been hindered by the weather. Two washouts out of three already. England Women seem to be gearing up for their World Cup with a 3-0 series win in the T20s. Currently 1-0 up in the ODI series with the second game a washout. Pakistan are needing World Cup points to qualify automatically for the ODI World Cup next year.
  12. Both managers were at Norwich as well. Russell Martin was a player down here and Daniel Farke was the last manager Martin served under.
  13. Hoping for a Leeds victory tomorrow considering my northern ancestry. Plus I used to pass through Leeds railway station on my way to see family further north. Those are the only things swaying me for tomorrow's Play-off final.
  14. Congratulations King Rollo and many thanks to Houdini for running the competition.

England Women beat Pakistan in the opening T20 today after a shaky start with the bat. We were missing Nat Sciver Brunt who had a small medical procedure and wasn't ready for this fixture. Available for the rest of the series though.

I have been enjoying the IPL, fantastic. Some (not all) World Cup squads have been announced. I am surprised that Jofra Archer is included, I think he is too much of a risk given how prone he is to injury. Steve Smith has been omitted from Australia and surprisingly no Jake Fraser McGurk. I have watched the latter in the last two editions of the BBL and this year's IPL and feel that Australia may be missing a trick here.
