That figure is inclusive of the week after Hurt dropped from #39. I think it dropped to #99 or something like that. So a fornight of sales due to the X Factor effect is in that figure.
I know that combined sales from 4th Oct '09 and 18th Oct '09 of Hurt are 4,858. So now we know it must have done more than 93,334. I wouldn't be surprised if it was 100k+?

I think he only sung because he was put on the spot and that's all he could think of that he knew the lyrics of at that second.
All people who get to that stage of the X Factor are told to have at least 3 songs prepared, with one of these being modern. Some are saying this particular audition was edited for the drama of it, but in reality he will have had more than 1 song prepared. If he didn't, it was just unprofessional. When you see people auditioning saying stuff like 'can I sing another one?' it's literally because they have prepared other ones, it's not off the top of their head.

The Take That figures for Back For Good, Babe, How Deep Is Your Love, Could It Be Magic, Relight My Fire, Everything Changes & Sure were from the programme 'Top 50 Boyband tracks of the 1990s', which had sales figures provided by OOC. Was aired in late 2008.
Sales pre-late 90s time have been revised in recent years. At the time, the sales were too over-estimated. The OCC revised figures had Back For Good at 725,000 and Babe at 460,000.

Also: Patience, Shine, I'd Wait For Life, Rule The World, Greatest Day, Up All Night & Said It All are from RyRy. Never Forget was a figure given in Christmas week December 2008.

I'm not quite sure what you mean, but popularity bars are in relation to each other at any given point.
