It's nice to see Troye Sivan - Something to Give Each Other go Silver. His second album Bloom still hasn't managed that, despite being released 5 years prior to Something to Give Each Other!

I haven't got around to hearing the album yet, but I couldn't resist ordering a CD and Signed Art Card, so he has my sale regardless of my potential enjoyment

I was surprised to see them at #72 considering its lack of presence in the various streaming platform charts. During the midweeks I assumed it was strongly down to physical sales, but evidently not considering it's just #14 in the physical chart, so its sales are majority thanks to streaming. I suppose it could have been lingering consistently just underneath the Top 200 on Spotify/Apple Music etc charts, and with the state of ACR/SCR in the OCC chart clearing up space, then that's how it results in #72. Well done to them for charting, it's a reasonable start that can be built on.
  10. Ooh it's about time! This really took a long time to get there.

I have a feeling there'll be plenty of copies left for online sales day
  12. Argh I missed the vinyl single. Come back!
  13. Ooh! Somehow I forgot that the original was 2LP, so it figures that this one is too. Flipping the record 3 times during a continuous mix seems less than ideal, compared to just once, but I suppose it gives the songs space to breathe and it should be excellent quality while it plays.
  14. Exciting! I wonder how it'll deal with the switch over from Side A to Side B?
  15. That’s such a lovely moment
  16. Will be interesting to see if XMAS climbs higher in the physical singles chart and vinyl singles chart on Friday, thanks to the decreasing prices. Chart runs so far: Physical: 1 1 6 12 21 26 16... Vinyl: 1 2 12 16 32 36 24...
  17. I need this A very unexpected release! I played the leak so often, it really is a gem. Love that it's become a single of sorts.
  18. This all makes a lot of sense! Regarding cover versions, interesting that lightning didn't strike twice for Kylie in 1992, with Celebration only making it to #20.

Your quote preserving my shady doubts about a second pressing, before I edited it out of my post

There'll be 2500 copies available. That feels like a rather ambitious amount! Also it's defined as a "RSD First" release.

Screaming! In horror!! Praying it's not true and just a joke, but how random if so - and we of course have past precedent with how Reason was handled. Oh Lordy!
  22. I was born when I Should Be So Lucky went to #1, and somehow I didn't discover Kylie until Spinning Around (at which point I was 12)! That is to say, all of her 80s/90s hits, I didn't experience them in real time. It surprises me that Give Me Just a Little More Time returned her to the Top 2. What made that one connect in particular? Did the song just seem to make sense in 1992, was the promotion good, did it get better airplay? Did being a cover version help? Also, quite interesting that it managed to do as well as it did as a post-album release. Not that the album did very well so maybe it didn't matter that it was already on the album. But yeah, it just strikes me as curious that it did as well as it did but maybe I'm lacking some context.
  23. 7th March is the date that BuzzJack opened in 2006, so that's the reasoning behind the date chosen! I don't think Friday would be the best day due to all the new releases climbing the iTunes chart, and it's likely one of the highest selling days of the iTunes week, so it would make it harder for Whole Lotta History to make a splash.
  24. A deep cut for ABBA! This will be educational for me. A1 beginning with that banger.
  25. Troye getting us started with Got Me Started Great choice!
