Buzzjack Does The Brits 2025
I was too late to vote but I'm particularly thrilled for Charli xcx, and Jade! I'd have rather Flo get the R&B award over Raye. I feel like the moment would have been far more beneficial for them.

Are the Charts Real Anymore?
The apparent panic of Girls Aloud's label to temporarily make the Theme to St. Trinian's song unavailable after it had already charted, will always mystify me! It seemed like it was on its way to potentially becoming a Top 40 hit, before it got pulled.

Emma Bunton • General Discussion
😅 I do wonder what's going on with her music career, if anything... it just seems so random that she covered 2 Become 1 and got on Strictly, and... that's it? Just for the hell of it? lol

OCC: Five's Official Top 10 biggest songs ever
I was a little surprised to see Got the Feelin' in second place actually! Ahead of two of their #1s and three #2s. But I just looked back at its first week sales and how much it sold in 1998, and it did very well. 114k first week and 375k overall that year. It seems like it was unfortunate timing that it went against two Football songs during Euro 1998. A week earlier, B*Witched were #1 (second week) with C'est La Vie on 93,000 sales! 1- 3 LIONS 98- Baddiel/ Skinner/ Lightning Seeds (232,075) 2- VINDALOO- Fat Les (186,000) 3- GOT THE FEELING- Five (114,000) I also wasn't expecting to see Everybody Get Up in third, but as the article mentions it's their second most streamed song in the UK (and 50.6m worldwide on Spotify!). It sold 224k in the UK in 1998. A bit less than All Saints - Bootie Call on 236,000. All Saints won the battle but Five ultimately won the war and outsold them... Bootie Call isn't gold yet, and its worldwide Spotify stream total is a relatively modest 5.2m. My favourite song of Five's is If Ya Gettin' Down! They have a very solid singles run overall, and of course Keep on Movin' is a classic. I thought Keep on Movin' might have had a stronger chart run than 1-3-6-8 while in the Top 10, but the charts were often so fast moving.

Are the Charts Real Anymore?
It's not quite that dire. Even the physical Top 100 chart needs more than 1 sale for a song to make it in!

Five
Good to have them back 🥰 I don't think I'll make it to the tour but I hope it's a great success for them. Manifesting Greatest Hits on vinyl - please!

@Brer hi- Anna Lunoe & Melanie C - Girl
Looking forward to hearing it! 🤩- Five
Exciting that it'll be all five of them! I wonder what has swayed J into it after all this time? Until last year's boy band reunion reminded me, I'd kind of forgotten just how bulletproof their singles discography is. Packed full of bops!- 2025 BPI Certifications
Fantastic to see Jennifer Paige - Crush (one of the best 90s pop songs imo!) going Platinum :cheeseblock: And another certification for Troye Sivan, courtesy of Charli xcx - One Direction - FOUR
It really was done dirty. :( It should have been a four ( :basil: ) single run at the very least.- Louise - Confessions
- Tension Tour ● SPOILERS thread
For now, all I'm spoiling myself with is the actual set list - so I can't comment on the performances and how the staging/visuals come across. I've seen a lot of criticism about it though. The selection of songs for the Disco medley... some choices were made, let's say that! Surprised that there's no 'Wow' or 'Kids', but also not bothered at their exclusion as they've been done to death. 'Timebomb' is an unexpected surprise! Also surprised that 'Padam Padam' isn't a part of the encore - its placement (towards the end, but doing four songs after it) strikes me as a curious choice.- Emma Bunton MegaRate ✨ - WINNER on Page 13 🥳

Why can't I let go? This is not like me, but now I definitely see That maybe, oh, maybe, maybe I'm in love AdW9oM6ZMMExME-klHV81Q ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sorry for the delay! Here's the Top 2 as voted for by BuzzJack. The runner up is Emma's biggest solo hit, 'What Took You So Long?', pipped to the post by her fan favourite and critically acclaimed 'Maybe'. 'What Took You So Long?' couldn't have launched Emma's debut album era any more perfectly. It entered straight in at #1 in the UK in April 2001, and what's more it spent 2 weeks at the top - the first solo single by a Spice Girl to enjoy a longer stay than one week. It was also a big radio hit in the UK, reaching #2. The song was written by Emma, along with Richard Stannard, Julian Gallagher, Martin Harrington, John Themis and Dave Morgan, and produced by Stannard and Gallagher in Biffco Studios in Dublin, Ireland. An accompanying music video, directed by Gregg Masuak, was shot in mid-February 2001 at the Mojave Desert near Lancaster, California. 'Maybe' was the second release from her 2004 sophomore album 'Free Me', and reached its peak of #6 in October 2003 - Emma's fifth Top 10 hit as a solo artist. Emma wrote it with Yak Bondy, with Mike Peden on production duties. Emma described the song as having "a real retro feel", and reviews called it sophisticated, 60s, bubblegum pop, infectious, a pop gem and even a masterpiece - deserved praise! The music video complimented the song's 60s vibe, inspired by the film Sweet Charity. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (Apologies for the rather short commentaries, but I should have done this days ago and I'm writing this at gone 3am, maybe not the ideal time! ) Thank you to everyone who voted - and please share your love and thanks to Mr.X for organising this event, working out the results and then posting them with such passion and knowledge! Thank you Mr.X for a very enjoyable thread, it's been great celebrating Bunton's fabulous discography!- Welcome to the Spice Girls Forum
Welcome to the forum Adrian! :cheer:- Tension Tour ● SPOILERS thread
So should this be the spoilers thread? Maybe a separate thread for non-spoiler discussion? Months of spoiler tagging doesn’t sound ideal. :kink:- Alok x Kylie - last night i dreamt i fell in love
You know what, I actually think the song is ok. Not everything she does has to blow my socks off. It did its job nicely in my playlist while I was on the treadmill! That’s enough for me. It’s not far removed from the Tension II sound and I’m into the vibe of it, so it’s no problem for me. I don’t think a “droplet” single like this can cheapen/damage Kylie in any meaningful way. It’s kind of just… there if you want it, easily dismissed if you don’t. Also, I’m personally not someone who appreciates an artist going quiet for 3 years. I’m enjoying her being so active! Oh and a lovely & kind friend of mine gifted me the CD & vinyl (orange) for my upcoming birthday - so my collection continues :cheer:  Not sure if it was already said but both vinyl singles are showing as sold out; seems I got the orange one in the nick of time. CD is still available.- RSD 2025 - Taller In More Ways
Ooh I’m glad that it’s the full original UK track list. A pity that this wasn’t the case for Angels!- Emma Bunton MegaRate ✨ - WINNER on Page 13 🥳
Sorry, top 2 reveal later today!- Louise - Confessions
Pop and dance music fans, rejoice! Pop icon, singer and performer Louise, is set to release her sixth solo album, 'Confessions'. Following the success of her Greatest Hits compilation in 2023, Confessions marks an exciting new chapter for the artist, promising a bold and unapologetic exploration of electronic pop. The album, which Louise has been crafting over the past 18 months, features collaborations with some of the music industry's most sought-after talents. She has teamed up with Jon Shave (Charli XCX), Anya Jones (Benjamin Ingrosso, Lola Young, Kylie), Karen Poole (Becky Hill), Tre Jean-Marie (Perrie, Mabel), and Hannah Robinson (Annie) to create a soundscape that takes listeners on an exhilarating journey of self-discovery straight to the dance floor. "This album is a true reflection of where I am right now--both as an artist and as a person. It's raw, it's emotional, and it's full of energy," Louise shares. "I wanted to create something that feels unapologetic, empowering, and fun and I'm so excited for everyone to hear it." 1 Confession (3:21) 2 Borderline (2:40) 3 Manifesting (2.57) 4 It Ain't Love (2.26) 5 Only Dancer (3:34) 6 Follow Me (2.49) 7 Get Into It (3:02) 8 Love Me More (2.52) 9 Don't Kill My Vibe (3:33) 10 Just Like That (2:34) 11 L.U.V [Deluxe Edition] (2.53) 12 Diamonds [Deluxe Edition] (2.22) - "ANTI" // 8th Album
