  1. Note to self: Please stop buying Kylie items until they're reduced!!! :kink: (I'll never learn!) Would be very nice if these reductions helped Tension II back into the chart :o Suppose it depends if this tempts some of the fans who passed on them up until now
  2. Find it hard to believe that it's already a decade since its release! I've loved seeing it become more and more popular every year. I pre-ordered the Amazon version of the 7", looking forward to receiving that!
  3. I'm going to see it on Saturday morning, I'm very excited! It'll be the first time I've been to the cinema since 2021 :drama: (House of Gucci). The 'Rain on Me' chanteuses bringing me to the cinema!
  4. Great to see the songs doing very well so far  Edit: Jade got in there first with midweek info :cheeseblock:
  5. Can't wait to see how expensive this'll be :kink:
  6. 7" vinyl in the UK delayed from 22nd November to 20th December
  7. Those who've edited her Tension II page on Wikipedia only list Lights Camera Action as the album's first/lead/only single :kink: For some reason they've decided that My Oh My is to be lumped in with her other collaborations as though it was a side project, even though Kylie was the lead artist for My Oh My.

I still wish they'd named it something that wasn't quite so specific (referencing 10 years) because it's just so out of date now, and not obviously clear that it's a Greatest Hits. I'd like it if the label would reissue The Sound of Girls Aloud: The Greatest Hits with a new cover and new track list, but I suppose there's not much likelihood of that.

  12. A tragic week  I looked back at some midweek information from then and saw it was midweek #9 for most of the week! It was only 400 or so behind #10... I feel like if there had been a CD1 and CD2 set (which was still a thing in 2007!) then they'd have probably held on. But the release schedule of download one week, then Greatest Hits and then finally the cd single... silly!! Also found out that Children in Need aired on Friday 16th November, three days before the CD single came out <_< so if anyone was at the shops on Saturday, it wasn't there to buy. Think it would have made way more sense to release Headlines CD on 12th November and Greatest Hits on 19th November... Greatest Hits would still have easily made it to #2 in that week too, and maybe Headlines would have got Top 10 a week earlier without Greatest Hits taking away any potential sales from it.
  13. By the way, today's date 25th November marks 17 years since we found out that Headlines was at #11 in the UK chart :teresa:
  14. I wouldn't be too surprised if low Top 100 in those charts is less than 300 sales!
  15. Me too! Crazy that they've not done a vinyl with the original cover yet
  16. It's a shame to see so many new albums being incredibly short-lived. :( I miss when albums which weren't even all that successful could nevertheless build up a reasonable chart run before exiting. It continues to amaze me that the OCC (and the UK music industry at large) seemingly aren't at all fussed about the state of the album chart and what is represents. I mean, while there's no getting around the fact that most album pure sales plummet in week 2, at least these albums could hang around for a bit longer if the Greatest Hits/catalogue albums were downweighted (or removed entirely x) while streaming was weighted more favourably to new releases - as is the case in the singles chart. I believe that streaming sites don't do a good enough job of promoting albums, it's largely very geared towards playlists and mixes. Also, Spotify etc should strive to present themselves in a way that is more specific to the country you're from. UK Spotify is heavily influenced by the US, so it's harder for newer British (or non-US artists) to have as much impact as they could do. As you say, it's inevitable that FLO's album will be a 1 week wonder and that's a pity. I know these discussions happen regularly and nothing changes, I wish it would!
  17. Cute! I was a bit confused about it when I first saw it a few weeks ago, but since then I've learned more about the Yoto player and what its function is for parents/kids (the target market for it). Basically to reduce screen time for children and have more control over what is listened to (compared to streaming sites) and easy to use. I think it's nice if a new generation hears Spice Girls this way, with a physical product. Interestingly the track list leaves off Voodoo lol. The new artwork for this Yoto release: Interesting that they decided to go with a different picture for it. I'm nitpicking but it can be seen where graphic designer cut around the image of them, leaving a darker shade of white around them but then adding a solid white the rest of the card's artwork. Maybe it's not as noticeable on the physical card. I've turned the solid white part of the artwork into black, to make it clearer where the editing happened: Nevertheless... I like the picture they've used! Although it's from the photoshoot that is associated with Stop's artwork, this particular shot wasn't used for either CD1 or CD2. If they'd used this for the 2019/2020 Greatest Hits vinyl releases, at least it would have seemed like a "new" picture rather than being the very familiar picture from Spice Up Your Life CD1 (a choice I was never too thrilled about... to me that picture is 100% Spice Up Your Life and imo it looked lazy to reuse it for Greatest Hits). I'm not great at Photoshop but I wanted to see how this "Yoto" artwork would look as a vinyl artwork, so I had a go and made this:
  18. On 15th November, Greatest Hits had some chart action (not in the main album chart though) and it was due to the Yoto card: #90 - Official Physical Albums Chart #97 - Official Albums Sales Chart ^ It marked the first time it had been Top 100 in either chart since 20th March 2020 which is when the black vinyl was released. However the slight boost in physical sales wasn't enough for the album to re-enter the official main albums chart Top 200.
  19. Thank you for posting, I don't remember seeing that before! That would definitely have been an interesting/new approach for them at that time, to have songs offered to them rather than written from scratch (apart from Touch era, but that was pre-fame). I would love to hear it - would it have been any better than Headlines or Voodoo! I suppose in a way it was nice that the Greatest Hits was kept to Spice Girls written stuff with the original producers. Maybe that wasn't the ideal time to go with songs offered to them. A new studio album though, maybe... When a fan interviewed Melanie C in 2017, she had no recollection of this song when it was mentioned to her!
  20. Better Be Careful deserved more here! Definitely a highlight track from A Girl Like Me.
  21. I voted Yes, mainly to feel positive and believe in the power of manifestation x
  22. I wish they would share more! I don't actually have MTV so I can't watch the programmes :( So it's really reliant on if someone has the channel and happens to catch that they're airing a run down and then noting down the sales. The schedule can be seen here: https://www.mtv.co.uk/tv-schedule/mtv-music and we can see that there's an Ed Sheeran Top 20 at 10am on 27th Nov, which is possibly a repeat. If they repeat shows I'm not sure if they refresh the sales information.
  23. The Show is back in at #10 today, very brief appearance for Sarah's Version! Another movement is Something Kinda Ooooh up to 4th, and Jump down to 5th. Interesting how up and down Jump can be in their list, there was a moment a while back when it was their #1 most popular! Not sure if I've ever noticed SKO being as high as 4th before now.
