Maybe give it a week or two, previous Amazon releases weren’t doing much at this equivalent time either!- XMAS Single and Christmas Fully Wrapped Chart Predictions
I keep feeling like I’m going to jinx it when I post things like this(!) but judging by how the last two Amazon Christmas songs did, XMAS could end up giving Kylie her highest weekly sales for a single since Can’t Get You Out of My Head? Also if XMAS managed a 90k+ sales week like Tom Grennan did, I believe other than CGYOOMH the only other Kylie singles to exceed that many sales in a week are I Should Be So Lucky, Especially for You and Hand on Your Heart?- Conan Gray: The Pyjama Party Singles Rate RESULTS
P.S. @HarryGarfield babe let's discuss that 8.5 for People Watching, I'm sat and I'm awaiting your explanation xx- Conan Gray: The Pyjama Party Singles Rate RESULTS
That's an incredible Top 3, given that they're my Top 3 songs, but just not the same order (I'd go 1 People Watching, 2 Maniac, 3 Vodka Cranberry) Thanks for the hard work with the results Calum, I enjoyed reading through the commentaries. Conan really does have a stellar discography, and I wish more people would give him a chance... I'm sure many would be pleasantly surprised.- bandaids
bandaids doesn’t come across as an attempt at chasing credibility to me. I think for that she’d have got the guitar out and really stripped it all the way back. This song is very much in the pop lane! It wouldn’t have sounded out of place in Katy’s pre-Witness catalogue. Chart wise, I didn’t have high expectations for whatever Katy released as her first post-143 moment. Really, she’d been on a downward trend way before that car crash of an era. The moment just before she released Woman’s World felt like the make or break moment to reverse her fortunes and we certainly know the outcome lol. That damage is really hard to come back from. So I agree with @365 that I’m surprised people were looking at her to perform better this time. I think this portion of her career to try and undo 143’s damage will be more of a marathon, not a sprint. It could take several singles to turn the tide with how she’s perceived. I’d never count her out completely but I’m not holding my breath for her to suddenly be smashing it in the charts again.- Conan Gray: The Pyjama Party Singles Rate RESULTS
He really shouldn't have done Overdrive and Telepath dirty like that, they are both incredible bops Happy to own the Japanese CD of it, the superior track list x Wow, Actor as high as 5th! It is great though. I'm still not tiring of the Wishbone album, I keep going back to it.- Your most played...

The songs given a particular push in the UK don't tend to have impact elsewhere unfortunately. Whether Kylie bucks that trend, we can only wait and see. UK chart runs for some of the Amazon Music Original Christmas songs (UK focus): Ellie Goulding - River [Released: 14th November 2019] 29/11/19 - #57 [9,335] 06/12/19 - #14 [26,170] 13/12/19 - #8 [31,347] 20/12/19 - #11 [34,885] (Christmas Chart Week) 27/12/19 - #1 [78,193] 03/01/20 - #28 [13,587] out 11/12/20 - #96 18/12/20 - #94 25/12/20 - #69 (Christmas Chart Week) 01/01/21 - #69 out Jess Glynne - This Christmas [Released: 12th November 2020] 27/11/20 - #63 [7,715] 04/12/20 - #28 [16,395] 11/12/20 - #13 [24,558] 18/12/20 - #9 [26,309] 25/12/20 - #4 [48,265] (Christmas Chart Week) 01/01/21 - #3 [33,843] out 10/12/21 - #91 17/12/21 - #86 24/12/21 - #60 (Christmas Chart Week) 31/12/21 - #52 George Ezra - Come On Home for Christmas [Released: 3rd November 2021] 26/11/21 - #85 03/12/21 - #36 [12,720] 10/12/21 - #26 [19,943] 17/12/21 - #15 [24,557] 24/12/21 - #10 [35,770] (Christmas Chart Week) 31/12/21 - #8 [41,933] out 30/12/22 - #83 out 08/12/23 - #82 15/12/23 - #79 22/12/23 - #83 (Christmas Chart Week) 29/12/23 - #56 [Stormzy - Firebabe (Orchestral Version) was the most successful Amazon pushed song in 2022... not a Christmas song!] Sam Ryder - You're Christmas to Me [Released: 7th November 2023] 17/11/23 - #88 24/11/23 - #50 [8,058] 01/12/23 - #23 [14,630] 08/12/23 - #12 [29,226] 15/12/23 - #10 [28,958] 22/12/23 - #2 [55,858] (Christmas Chart Week) 29/12/23 - #2 [86,211] 05/01/24 - #85 out 20/12/24 - #94 (Christmas Chart Week) 27/12/24 - #56 out Tom Grennan - It Can't Be Christmas [Released: 4th November 2024] 22/11/24 - #83 29/11/24 - #49 [10,165] 06/12/24 - #25 [19,311] 13/12/24 - #6 [32,042] 20/12/24 - #4 [39,049] (Christmas Chart Week) 27/12/24 - #3 [93,702] 03/01/25 - #30 [10,468] Judging by the last couple of years, we could perhaps see 'XMAS' enter the singles chart on 21st November (I imagine that 14th November is too soon for impact). It could even make the Top 10 on 12th December, which is the chart a week in advance of the Christmas chart week, before the physicals are released. It should manage 5 weeks in the Top 40 this year and 7 weeks Top 100. Oh and it should be guaranteed a silver certification, all of the above songs managed it. None of have managed gold yet though.- Stranger Things: Tales From ‘85

So excited! Is anyone doing a rewatch? So far I've rewatched all of Season 1 (and it is just as spectacular as I remember it being) and Season 2 Episode 1.- bandaids
I think 'bandaids' is a step in the right direction for Katy. It's a sensible move to tap into a sound that really fits her like a glove - I'm hearing some One of the Boys vibes but with the polish of Prism. Maybe her vocal delivery isn't for everybody, but I like how earnest she sounds here! Will it set the charts alight? Maybe not, but I think at the very least it serves as a palate cleansing moment, a moment of course correction, and that's important for where she's at currently.- Cheryl • General Discussion

I'll manifest #1s for both!- Throwback! Anniversaries of Spice Girls moments
Happy 25th anniversary! Also, ugh, 25 years since they last released an album. I still remember being so excited to get the CD, wanting my parents to take me to the shops after school finished on Monday, but for some reason they wouldn't and said we could tomorrow, I was stroppy about it, and for that they made me wait until Wednesday lol. 12 year old me actually had a decent first impression of the album, and Wasting My Time was an instant favourite. I remember playing it and saying to my mum it was my new favourite song, and she said something like "well if that's your favourite than that mustn't say much for the rest of the album" - omg! No taste x I'll always maintain that it's a very good album, better than many will give it credit for. Fantastic production, some of their best vocal performances, and there are great catchy hooks throughout. Maaaybe the track list order could do with some work, and for sure it should have had different artwork to represent it. Also sometimes I feel like it really should have been their fourth album, that there should have been an album between Spiceworld and Forever that helped to bridge the gap in the change of sound.- Spice Girls at Christmas • "Spice Up Your Xmas" EP

2026 calendar announced + some Christmas merch: Kylie MinogueKylie MinogueThe official Kylie Minogue store. £17.99 for the calendar + £6.25 postage = £24.24 Correct me if I'm wrong but this appears to be the first time that an official Kylie calendar is a 12" by 12" size, which folds out to be 12" by 24".- XMAS ● Amazon Music Original
I wouldn't hold your breath for remixes. Amazon just push one version of the song, which they refer to as being an Amazon Music Original. I don't think they'd consider diluting the impact of it by having more than one version of the track. I would be very surprised if it happened. I don't think Kylie's label/team can really "mess it up" per se. It's essentially now in the hands of Amazon Music and how hard they push XMAS, which'll determine how well it does in the chart. The song already has great positions on playlists, and undoubtedly anyone who requests Christmas music on Alexa will get XMAS played regularly, as we've seen from the last few years of Amazon originals from Tom Grennan, Sam Ryder, Jess Glynne. Physical purchases will give a boost to the sales, but the predominant success will come from streaming.- Spice Girls at Christmas • "Spice Up Your Xmas" EP
Agreed for sure, this could have been done a loooong time ago easily. Sigh it really is minimum effort from these ladies.- Girls Aloud - Christmas 'Round at Ours
I wish that this Christmas release could have had a tie in with Amazon, maybe having the new Christmas Party Mix as an Amazon Original. I think that would have been the way to go to get attention for this release. As things stand I think this is going to escape most people's attention, sadly. It doesn't help that their team backdated the album to November 2024, meaning that it isn't triggered as being a new release. Both the full length and radio edits of the Christmas Party Mix still haven't gone over 1000 streams each. I know it's early days yet when it comes to the Christmas period, but they have been available to stream for 2 weeks, so that's very low interest (or a case of being overlooked).- Spice Girls at Christmas • "Spice Up Your Xmas" EP
While this release does feel like a kick in the teeth, in a year in which we were hoping/praying for Forever outtakes (wow, they really did mean "we just aren't able to give you that", huh)... ...the concept of this EP is something I'd thought of in the past, as something that could be a good idea for their streaming at this time of year. To have their Christmas related tracks consolidated in one place, it could draw more attention to the tracks than usual. I'd hope that the EP being a new release would perhaps get them added to some festive playlists. Do we know if it's just download/streaming? A physical release could be cute...- XMAS ● Amazon Music Original
I’ve still only heard this the one time this morning, yet the chorus is stuck in my head. For me she’s really “understood the assignment” with this! I’m excited for the upcoming success that I’m imagining it’ll have, but I’m also trying not to get ahead of myself lol. I would agree with @Jessie Where that from a personal taste point of view I think there are some better songs on Kylie Christmas, although when it comes to commercial viability I think there’s something about XMAS that has something more to it. I know with the way Alexa operates at Christmas time that anything Kylie released for it would have got streams, but I also think people will actually like this and it not just be a passively achieved hit that the public don’t seem to care about. My impression last year was that Tom Grennan got as high as #3 with people not really talking about the song, but I think Kylie could have some buzz / attention? I’d certainly be surprised if it did less than Tom’s offering. - XMAS ● Amazon Music Original
