  1. £2k sales is ok but not impressive. The double album is being sold at less than half the original price. I thought it might have gone T40 tbh but this is better than nothing I guess.

Other factors we could consider is that a lot of the hardcores will presumably have already bought it, the promotion has been kind of low-key, and there’s no major hits to impact the general public. Plus physical sales aren’t too high across the board anyway, and we know her streaming is relatively low. So even with price cuts, there’s quite a small niche set of people she’s trying to target into buying an album of songs they likely won’t know (or maybe a Radio 2 listener will have some awareness).

So I think it’s still a feat to get people to part with £15 for the 5 disc, even though we know that’s a bargain. (I know there’s cheaper versions, but I think the logic still applies in the sense that we have to question at this stage how many people are going to be drawn into buying a Kylie physical studio album that they’ve possibly overlooked up until now).

Honestly, I feel that her managing to squeeze another 2k out of it last week, and maybe 1.5k this week, isn’t bad going!

  2. Ya I think it's just over 150k now,, which would mean it's only about 20k behind golden.

Unless I’ve missed something, I don’t think Golden would be on over 170k sales. Last we knew was 158k in November 2020, it was achieving about 100 sales a week, which would take it to less than 164,000 now if that continued to be the case.

My estimate for Disco... possibly approaching 153k, as of the 31st December chart.

'Grieving her is a daily challenge': Kimberley Walsh opens up about losing her Girls Aloud bandmate Sarah Harding for the first time

Kimberley Walsh was devastated when her Girls Aloud bandmate, Sarah Harding, died of breast cancer at the age of 39. In this exclusive interview with Psychologies, she talks about coping with grief, becoming a mother for the third time, and why losing Sarah made her determined to mark her 40th birthday with gratitude, hope and positivity

When Kimberley Walsh looks back on 2021 it will be with conflicting emotions. Little Nate, her third son with her husband, Justin Scott, is now six months old and, with his big smiles and easy-going nature, has slotted into their busy family like a dream. ‘We got so lucky with this one,’ she says, her West Yorkshire brogue still strong despite 20 years of living in London.

‘Obviously, I adore all my kids, but Nate has been the easiest – which was a relief, with him being the third. Even the breastfeeding, which I’ve struggled with in the past and has put a dampener on those first few weeks, has been brilliant. He came out of the womb, latched on and fed for an hour, and I was more excited by that than anything else!’

She adds: ‘Friends of mine who had totally hung up their heels when it came to having more babies have said Nate’s seriously made them reconsider. He’s so content and a proper little chiller, just like his dad.’

Walsh is also mum to Bobby, seven, and Cole, who has just turned five, and knowing that Nate is her last – she says adamantly that she is ‘definitely done’ – has given her a different mindset this time around. The sleepless nights haven’t felt quite as much of a bind and any notion of implementing a routine has been chucked out the window.

‘A big part of me wants to savour those night feeds, because I know I’m not having any more babies and I’m so aware of how quickly the time goes. They get so attached to you with breastfeeding, and Nate loves the cuddles that come with it.

‘If I thought I was doing all this again, maybe I’d be more practically minded, but he’s my last baby and I just can’t bring myself to be hard on him. So I’ve ruined him, instead!’

She laughs – but intertwined with this time of happiness has been immense sadness and grief. Walsh is still coming to terms with the loss of her friend and former bandmate, Sarah Harding, who died in September at the age of 39, just over a year after being diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer.

As she speaks about Harding’s death publicly for the first time, it’s clear the pain is still raw, and Walsh admits she struggles to make sense of it.

‘I can’t lie, it absolutely knocked us all for six and the grieving is a daily challenge. Until you’re actually experiencing something like this with somebody who was close to you, it’s impossible to imagine what it’s going to feel like. And I honestly still can’t work out how you ever truly accept it,’ she says.

‘I deal with it day to day and, for me, that’s about checking in with everyone, especially Sarah’s mum, and making sure that they’re OK too. It’s going to take time, and it’s very, very tough.’

I really think it was a big oversight that they didn't include Wannabe demo on Spice 25... it should have been there instead of the Dave Way remix, I think. An average of 83 streams a day... for the version from Spiceworld The Movie... oop!

  5. Powhu

    :sarah:

The TV shows I also peeped:

    3 Gogglebox | Series 17-18 (Very occasionally x)

5 I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! | Series 21 (Although I stopped watching half way through argh)

    6 RuPaul's Drag Race UK | Seasons 2-3

9 The Great British Bake Off | Series 12

    11 RuPaul's Drag Race | Season 13

I would say RuPaul UK S2 was my favourite of those, with GBBO just behind!

    2 Squid Game

    3 It's a Sin

I have pretty much all of your Top 8 in my increasingly huge "to watch" list :heehee: Squid Game was SO gripping and shocking, I was hooked! It's a Sin was sensational

    2 Doctor Who | Series 13

    3 Love, Victor | Season 2

    5 Good Trouble | Season 3

7 Locke & Key | Season 2 (Not seen this yet but I enjoyed S1 so much, I really need to hurry up and get on with it!)

Love, Victor got even better in Season 2! I'm so glad we have this sort of programme, there was absolutely nothing like this when I young(er :sarah: ). Good Trouble is so compelling, I find myself getting heavily invested with pretty much every storyline! So strong. For some reason I always get nervous that it'll suddenly be cancelled, but I'm glad to be proved wrong. Doctor Who - I think it had its highs and lows, as in some aspects of it worked so well (the new companion, & certain supporting characters for the storyline) and others not so much (maybe the fact there are SO many supporting characters that things get a bit muddled and convoluted), but overall I was satisfied with the series and found it an enjoyable way to spend a few hours!

  6. Currently airing on BBC One -

    The Hit List Celebrity Specials

Marvin and Rochelle Humes present a special celebrity edition of the music quiz in which pop stars from the noughties must name as many hit songs and artists as possible, with a £10,000 jackpot for their chosen charity up for grabs. Taking part are Atomic Kitten's Liz McClarnon and Natasha Hamilton, Blue's Simon Webbe and Duncan James, and Steps' Claire Richards and Lee Latchford-Evans

  7. I see it as #188 worldwide, not #118? 902,377 streams.

72,716 streams to be #162 in the UK, interestingly only 8% of its worldwide streams!

Germany were loving Wannabe, #50 there with 200,269 streams! 22% of the worldwide total.

    Overall:

    #50 - Germany (200,269)

    #66 - Austria (12,023)

    #92 - Switzerland (11,745)

    #97 - France (110,190)

    #114 - Belgium (15,404)

    #148 - Australia (46,988)

    #162 - Hungary (4,998)

    #162 - UK (72,716)

    #176 - Czech Republic (5,810)

    #191 - Denmark (19,586)

    ^ That's 499,729 of the 902,377 worldwide streams it got (55%).
