  1. What constitutes “that many”? It’s impossible for us to know how many preorders she’s done from her store, HMV and indies. Her formats went high up the Amazon chart. In theory the presale link on her store will have attracted many sales. A lot of people don’t read the small print that you don’t have to buy anything to get a link.
  2. Perhaps neither Charli or Taylor are in a place that they want to work together! I feel that if Charli had done a second "let's work it out on the remix" moment, it would have been a bit too obvious and kind of redundant… and I say that as someone who loves Taylor. I just didn’t really desire her for this song, honestly. I’m happy for the messaging of Sympathy Is a Knife to remain the same and have Ariana’s take on what that concept means to her!
  3. It should be joint 15th, not 16th, Nina West! :teresa: Voted for: Heavenly Body

Is there any way to flag this up with OCC/BPI? It just can't be true! I'm thinking you're right, that Thinking of You is getting the sales that should be going to Mmmbop. Thinking of You is supposedly selling at a rate of approaching 1,400 units a week, which I could believe to be the case for Mmmbop. Mmmbop still hasn't improved on its Platinum certification from June 1997. It sold 710,000 by the end of 1997 yet supposedly it hasn't made it to 1,200,000 yet (which would require 490,000 since 1998). I can't believe that it wouldn't have sold more than that in the digital era. Back in January 2023 I talked about this issue in the Boy Band certifications thread. Back then, Thinking of You had 2,040,556 worldwide streams on Spotify, now it's 2,554,943. That's an increase in 514,387 streams in 621 days, which works out to about 5,800 streams a week. An unknown percentage of that being UK... but the maths just ain't mathing for this song to be able to do 1400 units a week! Kind of random to raise this, but regarding boy bands... O Town - All Or Nothing had sold 122,060 copies in the UK by the end of 2001. Supposedly it still isn't Silver, yet it currently has a reasonably impressive 108.6m Spotify streams worldwide (combining the radio edit and album version). I don't believe that the song is that forgotten about in the UK that it wouldn't have been able to muster up 78k in downloads and streaming by now. The OCC database probably has a lot of errors that haven't been spotted!
  5. Rehearsals have started! You can hear the cast recording of Stomp across these videos:
  6. If someone had told me at the end of 2015 "in 9 years time there'll still be no sign of a One Direction reunion happening any time soon" I would not have believed that! One Direction's time spent apart is coming very close to the length of time of Take That's split to reunion (April 1996 being their last month of activity from their 90s heyday, and reunited in November 2005). That was 115 months; One Direction are 106 months on from the beginning of their "hiatus". Looks like One Direction are going to outdo that! I do think they'll reunite someday. Even the most unlikely of reunions do tend to end up happening, however many years it takes. Their moment will come, I'm sure. When though... hmm. I think we'll get at least one more album era/tour out of Harry before it, so I'm not going to hold my breath for it happening within the next 5 years. Maybe a 20th anniversary thing in 2030? :drama: At which point they'll all be late 30s.
  7. :cheer: You can approach this task in any way you want to... you can try and come up with what you'd consider to be "realistic" as a set list, or you could go more wild with it and choose songs you'd love to see her perform, even though you highly doubt she'd choose them. You can include medleys to squeeze some more songs in. I'll try and come up with a set list asap :D
  8. My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys
  9. If you stream it you'll have to skip track 11 of 13! 😅 Obviously it's impossible to say until the album is out, but I'm curious about which track list I will ultimately prefer listening to. Vinyl/Cassette A1. My Oh My (Kylie Minogue, Bebe Rexha & Tove Lo) A2. Lights Camera Action A3. Taboo A4. Someone for Me A5. Good as Gone A6. Edge of Saturday Night (The Blessed Madonna & Kylie Minogue) A7. Midnight Ride (Orville Peck, Kylie Minogue & Diplo) B1. Kiss Bang Bang B2. Diamonds B3. Hello B4. Dance to the Music B5. Shoulda Left Ya B6. Dance Alone (Sia & Kylie Minogue) Midnight Ride following Edge of Saturday Night and being midway through the album already seems like it would sound disjointed! CD/Download/Streaming 1. Lights Camera Action 2. Taboo 3. Someone for Me 4. Good as Gone 5. Kiss Bang Bang 6. Diamonds 7. Hello 8. Dance to the Music 9. Shoulda Left Ya 10. Edge of Saturday Night (The Blessed Madonna & Kylie Minogue) 11. My Oh My (Kylie Minogue, Bebe Rexha & Tove Lo) 12. Midnight Ride (Orville Peck, Kylie Minogue & Diplo) 13. Dance Alone (Sia & Kylie Minogue) For the streaming track list, I think My Oh My should have been Track 10, given that it's the one collaboration that is actually Kylie as the main lead artist - not somebody else's single like the other three. I feel like it shouldn't be detached from the first 9 tracks. I see that the placement of the collaborations is most recent to least recent. It just seems funny that My Oh My went from being Track 1, to being thrown onto the end amongst the other collaborations.
  10. I really don't see it for My Oh My re: getting any nominations, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for the others, particularly the album. Edit:  at this post on Popjustice: "Submitting My Oh My for record and song of the year? That took some nerve mother."

For me it's another very strong season! It's very faithful to the source material (with the non-book characters being that extra little sprinkling for the TV show). I feel like if I went into more depth about the season, I'd only be repeating Joseph's great write up, which I agree with word for word! Heartstopper Season 3 currently holds 100% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 18 reviews :cheeseblock:
  12. Crazy Boys
  13. The live versions are gorgeous
  14. Here we go! Number in [] is how many copies have sold since that 23rd Sep update: Brat and it's completely different but also still brat 851 - 3xLP Vinyl [399] 150 - 2xCassette [22] Regarding the 2xCD, they've majorly increased the amount of stock - it's gone up to 9149 copies available! Brat and it’s the same but there’s three more songs so it’s not 860 - CD [4] 458 - 2xLP Vinyl [6] Brat 806 - 1xLP Vinyl (translucent highlighter vinyl) [7] 367 - CD [0] 244 - 1xLP Vinyl (Clear sleeve over translucent black vinyl) [340] 135 - 1xLP Vinyl (Red Picture Disc vinyl) [5] 59 - 1xLP Vinyl (Blue Picture Disc vinyl) [7] 30 - 1xLP Vinyl (Translucent black vinyl) [12]
  15. At least we can say that every Kylie studio album has a Top 60 hit
  16. Oh no, I was one position off! My #58 prediction was also me trying to manifest it not peaking at the same position as I Was Gonna Cancel  #59 without physicals… I’ll take that! At least it’s an improvement on My Oh My being #63 with physicals (although to be totally fair to My Oh My, it didn’t have remixes at that point like Lights Camera Action does). Kylie’s #41-#75 chart peaks: #49 - Keep on Pumpin’ It #52 - Stop Me from Falling #53 - Magic #56 - Say Something #59 - I Was Gonna Cancel #59 - Lights Camera Action #60 - Crystallize #60 - Dance Alone #63 - GBI #63 - My Oh My I hope LCA can improve on #59 with the CD/Cassette release. Not sure if there’s a chance for Top 40 but we’ll see.
  17. My Tension II era play counts: 20 - Dance Alone 2 - Dance Alone (Ofenbach Remix) 1 - Dance Alone (Extended Mix) 1 - Dance Alone (Gab Rhome Remix) 1 - Dance Alone (Kito Remix) 1 - Dance Alone (Malibu Babie Remix) 1 - Dance Alone (Ofenbach Remix Extended Mix) 1 - Dance Alone (Pure Shores Remix) 1 - Dance Alone (Slowed Down) 1 - Dance Alone (Sped Up) Total: 30 15 - Midnight Ride 1 - Midnight Ride (Sofi Tukker Remix) Total: 16 36 - My Oh My 3 - My Oh My (Extended Mix) 3 - My Oh My (Initial Talk Remix) [unofficial] 1 - My Oh My (CLIK3D Remix) 1 - My Oh My (Franklin Dream Edit) 1 - My Oh My (Franklin Remix) 1 - My Oh My (TORQ Remix) Total: 46 33 - Edge of Saturday Night 4 - Edge of Saturday Night (Extended) 2 - Edge of Saturday Night (Dub) 1 - Edge of Saturday Night (Nikki Nair Remix) Total: 40 13 - Lights Camera Action 4 - Lights Camera Action (Extended Mix) 3 - Lights Camera Action (Confidence Man Remix) 3 - Lights Camera Action (JACONDA Remix) 3 - Lights Camera Action (Zach Witness Remix) Total: 26
  18. Comparison to My Oh My: My Oh My - Thursday 18th July midweek #54 Overall: 7,438 (Streaming, Download & Physicals) Streaming: 3,831 Download: 1,492 CD: 1,238 Cassette: 877 Lights Camera Action - Thursday 3rd October midweek #51 Overall: 6,518 (Streaming & Download) Streaming + Download total for My Oh My in its Thursday midweek was 5,323. That's 81.67% of what LCA has achieved (6,518). MOM ended up on 8,582 sales on Friday, an increase of 1,114 sales up from the Thursday midweek. The Streaming/download portion of that was 1,079. If LCA added on 1,079 it would be 7,597 for the week. MOM sold 8,582 in its first week to be #63, with 6,432 of that being Streaming/downloads. I'll predict... #58 entry for LCA!
  19. Ordered the bundle! :cheer: I’m glad that the CD is all 5 tracks! That’s new territory for BMG (well, there was the Padam Padam mix tape but that was a gimmick, at least a CD can be ripped!) I love the shot used for the artwork, but for the sake of consistency I would have liked her logo / song title on the physicals at least! Although indeed, the branding consistency went out the window for My Oh My’s artwork anyway with the font. I wonder if they were going to use that font for further releases, but then decided to go back to the Tension font for Tension II? Funny that we went from My Oh My artwork being prominent text with a background, to Lights Camera Action being a textless picture! The last time she had single artwork without her name/song title was in the Body Language era, however they were on the hype stickers. So Lights Camera Action will seemingly be her first single to have no mention of her/the song title on the front cover whatsoever!
  20. If there are physical singles ready and waiting to be unleashed, I'd have gone with a "throw literally everything at week 1" tactic and just see what the outcome of that was. I don't think there's really a better time to have attracted physical single sales than this week, what with her store having the tour pre-sale access - that would have resulted in more visits to her store than normal. This was said in another topic but otherwise the only other good week to release physicals in in album release week. No point doing it on 4th or 11th imo.
  21. Nice that this is finally on the playlist! I wonder if it’ll be another “stays stuck on C” moment like Padam. Which in a way felt like a begrudging addition on their part. Granted it stayed for 4 weeks but it not being moved up still seemed a bit pointed to me.
  22. Hands and Love Train are joint 15th not 16th! I’ll have to remind myself of Heavenly Body before voting! I at least knew that I preferred it to Hands and Love Train… but less certain about how I feel in relation to the other songs remaining.
  23. Assuming Top 60 at best will be its outcome on Friday? 3010 from streaming… Tension (song) in its first week Tuesday midweek had done 4360 streaming sales. So Lights Camera Action is at 69% of the streaming level that Tension had managed. Lights Camera Action is slightly ahead in terms of downloads: 2155 to Tension’s 1955 (although it was only the main version of Tension available wasn’t it?). Tension sold 4,690 CDs in its first week (there were two of them). Anybody’s guess how well LCA physicals would sell but I feel like if she had them, she’d hold on to the Top 40 this week.
  24. How has she distanced herself from the UK? She’s just done a lot of promo here this week, including visiting a few radio stations (that a lot of artists of her generation wouldn’t touch). Some additional focus on the US market =/= Kylie becoming Americanised. What about her has implied that she thinks she’s made it in America, and is now aloof to work in the UK? Genuinely, I don’t understand the perspective.
