  1. I’ll let you know on messenger
  2. I’d love nothing more than a new full update Sadly I just can’t find anyone. The guy who shares midweek and final chart info on Spice Circle would know because he’s shared some totals years ago, but I get the feeling he wouldn’t be willing to do it.
  3. I'm still disappointed that they didn't provide any other Melanie C totals bar Northern Star. 6 years since we last had updates for the majority of her albums. 8th May 2020: 102,550 - Reason 28,818 - Beautiful Intentions 14,934 - This Time 13,750 - The Sea 11,931 - Stages 10,995 - Version of Me 13th November 2020: 9,741 - Melanie C (its total after 6 weeks of release) 8th May 2026: 900,317 - Northern Star Who knows how much self-titled might have added to that total. Still, I'm assuming that Sweat has probably outsold it already. If so, it's instantly Melanie's fourth best selling album out of 9! Probably unlikely that it can overtake Beautiful Intentions though but you never know, maybe if there is a proper deluxe release.
  4. Only took 25 years for Northern Star's total sales to match its certification achieved through shipments
  5. Well they only gave a total sale for Northern Star out of Melanie's previous albums, but it's good to know that it's finally surpassed 900,000! I was hoping we'd get some of her other solo totals though, particularly self-titled. Oh well. Updates: 3,102,398 - Spice 1,663,649 - Spiceworld 900,317 - Northern Star 490,819 - Schizophonic Last known sales: 3,022,958 - Spice on on 12th November 2021 1,630,367 - Spiceworld on on 23rd December 2022 892,935 - Northern Star on 8th May 2020 487,445 - Schizophonic on 8th May 2020 Increases: Spice - 79,440 sales in 234 weeks - 339 sales a week on average Spiceworld - 33,282 sales in 176 weeks - 189 sales a week on average Northern Star - 7,832 sales in 313 weeks - 23 to 24 sales a week on average Schizophonic - 3,374 sales in 313 weeks - 10 to 11 sales a week on average --- Two confusing things from the article: 1. 30,866 stated as being Reason's first week sales, when back in 2005 it was revealed to be 30,876. 2. 1,963 sales stated for L.A. State of Mind - the exact same figure revealed back in May 2020, six years ago. It surely has to have sold something in 6 years?!
  6. Other UK charts: #1 - Record Store Chart #2 - Scottish Albums Chart #2 - Album Downloads Chart #2 - Physical Albums Chart #2 - Vinyl Albums Chart #2 - Independent Albums Chart In every chart that she's #2, Kneecap are at #1. Interestingly #1 in the Record Store chart though, with Kneecap at #2. (The UK's biggest albums of the week in 100 UK independent record shops based on sales of CDs, vinyl and other formats. Compiled by the Official Charts Company in partnership with Record Store Day.)
  7. Finally we can talk about it - Sweat is officially #3 in the UK Congratulations Melanie!
  8. Oops, I wonder what went wrong there? Lack of promotion? From her best Australian peak to her worst German peak!
  9. It did indeed, 41-115-out All the solo albums with less than 20 weeks in the Top 200: 8-132-x Melanie C (#8, 2 weeks) 10-35-85-161-x-121-112-107-67-156-x Victoria Beckham (#10, 9 weeks) 11-121-x-162-x My Happy Place (#11, 3 weeks) 24-53-91-136-x Beautiful Intentions (#24, 4 weeks) 25-146-x Version of Me (#25, 2 weeks) 28-65-96-161-x-181-153-97-95-118-180-x-182-x Hot (#28, 11 weeks) 41-115-x Passion (#41, 2 weeks) 45-101-x The Sea (#45, 2 weeks) 50-x-151-x Stages (#50, 2 weeks) 57-97-200-x This Time (#57, 3 weeks) 65-75-79-128-156-x-188-x Life in Mono (#65, 6 weeks)
  10. I’ll be happy if it manages a second week in the chart! Just so it doesn’t become the first solo Spice album (that actually made the chart, sorry Mel B x) to only spend 1 week top 200.
  11. There are new threads! Find them here: ALBUMS: SINGLES:
  12. My order of 3 cassettes and a Spice Boys CD... they've just dispatched the CD with one of the cassettes (yellow). Pink and orange cassettes still says "This item is currently awaiting arrival of the stock. We are working as hard as we can to have this available as soon as possible." for me. I guess they're shipping what they can and making a loss on postage by having to send the other two cassettes separately?
  13. “Melanie just said on Gaydio that the girls finally have the rights to Spiceworld the Movie and it’ll be on streaming soon. She mentioned lots of behind the scenes gems too.” - according to someone on Spice Circle!
  14. Lip Service 15th… 🤨

Please don’t write the album off based on this one song!
  16. 16 songs, out 24th July!
  17. Clearly I'm in my own "Spice Bubble" but I've not seen/heard anything about what Kneecap are doing to get these sales! 😮 Why oh why did there have to be a Michael Jackson mania going on right now? 😭 It's such unfortuante timing to run into him having a major streaming boost. Of course I should keep it in perspective that Melanie's sales are great. With 15,379 sold so far, that is already higher sales than all bar one #3 album sales in 2026 (the highest selling #3 is Bruno Mars on 18,547 - every other #3 has been achieved with less than 15,000 sales). In the Skindred/Jessie Ware week, as of the Wednesday midweeks, they'd sold 13,709 and 12,452 respectively (final sales on Friday - Skindred: 20,414 and Jessie Ware: 18,582). So both of those albums had achieved 67% of their overall sales for the week as of the Wednesday midweeks. Perhaps Melanie C will be more frontloaded than that though... I think Jessie Ware did her Banquet signings later than Melanie did hers? It would be fantastic if Melanie could push for a 20,000+ first week, even if that ultimately results in a #3. If she sells more than 17,773 (Northern Star's first week sales), it would make Sweat her second highest first week sales as a solo artist (her best is 30,876 with Reason).

  19. I felt like the separate threads for album discussion and charts discussion wasn't working out as intended, so I've merged the two topics together. 😎
  20. Her team needs to get a move on with dispatching those cassettes...!
  21. Click this after watching the trailer... "F*ck!" - that caught me off guard!
  22. There's another vinyl available from Amazon - Red & Yellow splatter! MELANIECLP1: Black MELANIECLP2: Opaque Orange (Indie/HMV) MELANIECLP3: Translucent Orange/Gatefold/Signed (Official Artist Store) MELANIECLP4: Red & Yellow Splatter (Amazon) BLOOD593: Yellow & Orange Sunburst/Alternate Artwork (Blood Records) Overall: 5 Vinyl 3 CDs (or technically 4, if the Amazon signed artcard version is counted as being a separate item) 3 Cassettes 2 Downloads 1 Lanyard (technically speaking that's a third download variant) (Edit: I forgot that there is a test pressing vinyl)
  23. That same “MELANIECCD1” booklet is included in all the CDs, it seems. So the Spice Boys are credited on CDs that they’re not shown on lol. It’s in the HMV CD, which is MELANIECCD4. It’s also in the Amazon signed artcard version - technically MELANIECCD2, but that’s only shown on a sticker placed over the barcode. Otherwise that CD packaging says MELANIECCD1. So in summary, there’s CDs with CD1/CD3/CD4 printed on them, while CD2 uses CD1 packaging - and all have the CD1 booklet!
