Yep they're both from the CD-Rs! "Telstar Session" (which I guess is a title I came up with for my iTunes, because the CD-R is nameless) is what ended up becoming "Open Your Eyes" with some of tracks edited/renamed. Picture of the CD-R: Here's a picture of the other CD-R, with tracks that would become known as the "Come Together" album: Both "Open Your Eyes" and "Come Together" are fan created titles. It's kind of funny how they were reported on by the press as though they were official titles, and that ultimately the fanbase accepted these titles as official. Sometimes I wonder if Victoria read any of the reports from the time and if she was confused about it lol.

'Flow' is missing from Victoria's second album section! Maybe it should be noted that 'Obsession' and 'Time' are demos which don't feature Victoria on vocals? Otherwise, that section looks to be complete to me, with the right song titles.

I'm not sure how I feel about the artwork, maybe it'll grow on me. I'll pre-order the Amazon signed CD, but I will bide my time with vinyl! RCA already did the "where is the album" schtick with Normani, so repeating it with Jade is something I personally found to be more cringe than clever. It's the label's ineptitude that leads to a situation of having to make light out of it. Sigh! 17 weeks of pre-order and going up against Ed Sheeran? Sigh!!

Hype It seems we might not be hearing Sweet until the song is actually released, as they haven't performed it at either SMTOWN Live in Mexico or LA. So hopefully that means we won't have an Ariana "different versions" situation this time!

I suppose it depends on whether descriptors such as “dull” and “boring” are considered to be synonyms with “ordinary”. To me they skew a bit more negative. I feel like an ordinary song would be more straight down the middle, not really making you feel either which way (neither boring nor interesting), it’s just there being unremarkable. I think it would be fair to say that a ballad from Gary Barlow as his debut single was expected, and in that sense it would seem ordinary. But if people feel it was notably boring, to the point it’s memorable for being so, does that make it ordinary? (!)

I need them to get it back in stock because I didn't order it from their store - I couldn't afford it yet! 😢I had a discount code to use too!! It's also sold out on HMV. I preordered it on Amazon a couple of days ago due to FOMO (and the payment not being taken until shipping) but ouch at it being £69.99!

I'm really glad to see it's been holding up well since the reissue I estimate its total UK sales to be around 256,000. I'd like to think the album will be able to go Platinum before the end of summer! I wonder if it'll get there before Positions? I have no idea what sales that could be on by now!

I look at this photo now that was taken on this very day 28 years ago, when we had no idea that would be the day our lives changed forever, I can’t believe it’s the same girl staring back at me but I can see the Joy and excitement on all our faces. When I think about the time since that day I realise that…… We have been Together, We have been apart, We’ve been successful, We’ve been less successful (not often though 😉), We’ve had quiet times, We’ve had the busiest of times , We’ve had good times, We’ve had bad times, We’ve been Friends, We’ve also not been Friends, We’ve laughed, We’ve Cried, We’ve Argued, We’ve reconciled, We’ve had Births, Marriages, Divorces, illness and sadly deaths, We’ve experienced all that life can throw at you one way or another and we are still here, I think for me it’s because Steps is my comfort Blanket, That one pair of shoes that NEVER lets you down, My Safety Net when life is scary, that smile that arrives just at the right time and that light that just keeps on burning against all the odds. I’m sure it’s because at its core there is LOVE. Love for each other, Love for our team, Love for our families, Love for our friends and Love for you the FANS.
