Trump won just under 50% of the popular vote, i.e. a long way short of a majority of the voting-age population.- US Hot 100 #1 SyncTube sessions
It's another pretty awful list this week and the number twos aren't really any better. For those who attend, I admire your resilience.- The Middle East Today
Israel and the US spent years saying that there should be elections in the Palestinian territories. Unfortunately, after years of hostility towards Palestinians by Israel, those first elections resulted in Hamas doing rather well. Then Israel and the US said "That's not what we meant".- US Hot 100 #1s: Best & Worst / Weeks 18 & 19

And still the orange blob of flesh demonstrates that he has no idea how tariffs work. In his announcement about imposing tariffs on countries that impose them on the US, he said “Very simply, it's if they charge us, we charge them,". He still seems to think that the exporting country pays the tariffs. This imbecile can order the launch of nuclear weapons.- Waterloo Road

I'm up to episode three, so this contains spoilers.- The Middle East Today
If Hamas releases all hostages by the weekend, Israel will still resume the destruction of Gaza before long. Israel's refusal to say that they would extend the ceasefire beyond the original deadline even if the hostages were released simply plays into Hamas's hands. They have always been worried that Israel would simply increase their onslaught if there was no longer any risk of killing hostages. They will say that the events of the last few days justify that fear.- 2024/25 FA Cup

Ceding control of the Chagos Islands is not Starmer's "latest venture". Most of the negotiations happened under the last government. Don't pretend the outcome would have been any different if those numpties were still in charge. Why do you continue to believe the relentlessly negative rubbish coming from the Daily Wail, Gammon News or wherever? This government inherited an almighty mess. Fixing it is going to take time.- US Hot 100 #1 SyncTube sessions

The problem is that Trump still doesn't seem to understand how tariffs work. Even if he does, many of his supporters don't. Many people genuinely seem to believe that the tariffs will be paid by the exporting government.- Buzzjack Premier League Prediction Competition 2024/25
