Premier League 2024/2025
An embarrassing result for Nottingham Forest. Fancy losing to Man C.
-
2024/25 FA Cup
There are so many ties that would have been obvious television choices if the home and away sides had been reversed.

Trump: Folie à Deux (US Politics Thread)
Trump's nomination to head the FBI is an all-out believer in the idea that the 2020 election was rigged. He has promised to "bring to justice" those who were involved in the non-existent fraud.

Trump: Folie à Deux (US Politics Thread)
While I think Biden’s decision is unwise, it is also understandable. Biden has suffered the loss of two sons so you can see what might have motivated this decision. But, no matter how invalid the comparison, it will lead to Republican whataboutery when Democrats criticise Trump’s long list of pardons.

Generic ROTW Politics
I assume they will worry about that. Forming a new government could be very difficult.
-
Generic ROTW Politics
Yes, they have been hammered in the same way as the Lib Dems in the UK in 2015. It's all rather daft though. All political parties want to exercise some power. However, whenever a "non-traditional" party gets to exercise that power, they are punished.

Generic ROTW Politics
The Greens have now finally managed to win a seat. It has been a terrible result for them.

It is worth mentioning that Wendy Alexander's appointment as Transport Secretary means that, for the first time ever, every member of the Cabinet went to a state school.

Louise Haigh has resigned as Transport Secretary. Depending on how the vote on assisted dying goes, Wes Streeting might be the logical replacement.
-
Assisted Dying Bill
If tomorrow’s vote is in favour of the bill, that is not the end of the matter. There will be further discussion on the details. Therefore, I would vote in favour of the bill tomorrow. I would reserve the right to change my mind when the final detailed legislation, after any amendments, came before the Commons I support the general principle. In some ways, I think it is too restrictive. However, that wouldn’t lead me to vote against this bill.

Trump: Folie à Deux (US Politics Thread)
Perhaps Biden should use the same policy and annul the result of the election. He can then step down and allow Kamala Harris to be president for the next four and a bit years.

The Official Labour Calmer Steering Thread (mk III)
A lot of the signatures on the election petition are Keir Starmer of 10 Downing Street. Well done to those right-wing numpties for totally discrediting the government petition principle.

Band Aid - Do They Know It's Christmas? (2024 Ultimate Mix)
That extended version is a lot better. The production is great, but the vocals on the short version are a bit of a mess.
