Trump's nomination to head the FBI is an all-out believer in the idea that the 2020 election was rigged. He has promised to "bring to justice" those who were involved in the non-existent fraud.

Yes, they have been hammered in the same way as the Lib Dems in the UK in 2015. It's all rather daft though. All political parties want to exercise some power. However, whenever a "non-traditional" party gets to exercise that power, they are punished.

Louise Haigh has resigned as Transport Secretary. Depending on how the vote on assisted dying goes, Wes Streeting might be the logical replacement.

If tomorrow’s vote is in favour of the bill, that is not the end of the matter. There will be further discussion on the details. Therefore, I would vote in favour of the bill tomorrow. I would reserve the right to change my mind when the final detailed legislation, after any amendments, came before the Commons I support the general principle. In some ways, I think it is too restrictive. However, that wouldn’t lead me to vote against this bill.

Perhaps Biden should use the same policy and annul the result of the election. He can then step down and allow Kamala Harris to be president for the next four and a bit years.
