It’s the Tune of the Weekend, which I think is decided at the same time as the playlist so I assume they did know about it but don’t feel that they’re a big enough name to insta-add (I’m surprised at that as well tbh)

That Four Tet song is brilliant! So good to see that getting supported! Also enjoy the new Blackpink and Bieber this week Good to see PinkPantheress moving up this week, I did think ‘Can’t Decide’ would have done too. Nice to see so much dance music on the playlist at the moment - would be good if the less ‘generic’ songs such as Barry Can’t Swim, Chloe Callet and Interplanetary Criminal can move up over the next couple of weeks

Nice to see Sugababes make it straight onto the A List. Also good to see Rita Ora climb up - that's my favourite of hers since Praising You! I have no idea why they have decided to playlist OneRepublic's awful cover of Starlight, it's a completely unnecessary song (and the Jonas Brothers sample of Stayin Alive isn't much better).

If I remember correctly, I think they service quite a few singles to radio from each era? They’ve only released 3 albums (4th coming this year) so there must be many songs from each album having made the playlist.

What a wonderful, euphoric piece of music Childhood is. I haven’t had chance to listen to the whole album yet but I will over the weekend.

A few surprises on this week's playlist - nice to see some movement again. I wasn't expecting Calvin to show up now, I thought that ship had long sailed but good to see. Also nice upwards movement for Olivia Dean and Pulp and good to see Sam Fender's new one make it as an insta-add. Surprised to see Lukas Graham on here. I didn't realise they were still releasing music, let alone being supported by R2. It's a shame that the song is quite boring.

I reckon it will be close this week - but if I were a betting man I would say Ordinary has it. Sabrina won’t have vinyls or the first day boost she had last Friday!

Unfortunately no update yet - the website is still showing last week’s playlist. I reckon Manchild and Suzanne are probably both A-Listed though as they’ve been played a couple of times today.

I absolutely love this now - I genuinely think one of my favourite Ed songs ever. I didn’t care for Old Phone at all and Azizam was ok at first but got a bit irritating quickly.

Yes that is correct! There seems to be very little movement at the moment of songs. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Sapphire move up next week though.
