For anybody interested, the Official Chart of the Year will be happening this year on Boxing Day from 2-6pm. It is with Dan Draper this year who I think is a new name to the chart.

Have Turnstile already been on it? I feel like they’ll be favourites if not?

Good to see a bit of a clear out this week. Upon first plays, I'm really enjoying the Nathan Evans and Remember Monday tracks, not so much Lewis Capaldi's or Miley Cyrus' (I think they've both done much better) Last year there were no Christmas songs added to the playlist, I wonder if they will do the same thing again this year (especially as Kylie has released one and they love her)

Oh god how annoying that I misread the question for Avicii! I even wrote Wake Me Up and then deleted it because i thiught you were just looking for an artist with a Number 1 single! That’s really frustrated me 🤣

I would be surprised if she is playlisted really. Jo Whiley has played her in the evenings but I don't think she will make it as far as the playlist

Good to see big support for Katy Perry from the one. Not entirely unexpected though when they strongly supported Woman's World and this is far, far better. That's a very late add for JADE, it's been and gone for some weeks on R1's playlist - I wonder why they have decided to add it at such a late stage?

Both of the James Blake collaborations are absolute highlights on here. The whole album is brilliant and impactful though

Good to see adds for Sam Fender (even if it's nowhere near one of his best), as well as Louis Tomlinson and Perrie. I know R2 has a very wide age range they have to appeal to, but that Barry Manilow song is not great at all. No idea why they have decided to add that to the playlist.

Thanks to gooddelta for posting the playlist in my absence last week - much appreciated. Nice to see a clear out this week, and a couple of unexpected additions, wouldn't have expected Aerosmith and Damiano to show up here, but that's the good thing regarding the R2 playlist, it can often throw up a surprise. The A-List is a track down this week, I will keep on eye if that seems to be a mistake over the course of the week.
