Great update this week - I was starting to find the playlist very stale so glad to see a lot of changes! And some really great additions. Good to see LISA, Inhaler, Olivia Dean, Self Esteem, Luther Vandross and especially Rizzle Kicks make the playlist (I assume for the first time). It's a great song and it's a shame that R1 aren't playing it too. Also good to see movement for Tom Grennan, even if the song doesn't seem to be doing anything sadly.

I don’t think the majority of people know who she’s married to anyway (and that I’m not sure how prominent the Slowthai case was anyway!). I would agree that I don’t think these will be particularly well though, I think her last era killed a lot of momentum for her.

We have our answer about R1 playing ‘Fat, Juicy and Wet’ - Jack Saunders played it tonight and called it ‘Fat and Juicy’. The radio edit isn’t actually completely awful to be fair.

Good to see Sam and Teddy with instant support today. I also like the Cian Ducrot add this week. Anyone know what that Tina Turner song is? Is it new?

I really like this actually - but I can appreciate why some people wouldn’t, because it’s very different to her last album. At least she hasn’t followed the same sound as the awful ‘Big Man’ from last year!

The Boyzlife and Marshmello songs are ok I guess but there’s not a lot on there that’s exciting me. I think the playlist is looking pretty stale at the moment really. Jo Whiley plays some great stuff in the evening that never gets a look in throughout the day unfortunately.

Good to see Lola Young make it on here - I wasn’t sure if they would playlist her. Also nice to see Chappell Roan too. I’ve listened to the other new additions and none of them stand out sadly. There’s definitely been a policy change in the past couple of months for songs to spend longer on the playlist - we’re now on the 9th week for Sam Fender, the 8th for Myles Smith and the 7th for Coldplay!

Playing devils advocate here, but if for some reason the songs that go to ACR in December don’t get an auto reset, what is likely going to be number 1? Because I assume APT and That’s So True will go to ACR in the next couple of weeks? Would they still be ahead of the top song on SCR (guessing Defying Gravity, Luther or Messy will be) or would it likely be one of those?

Yeah I reckon Defying Gravity is going to do very very well this week - potentially top 10? There’s also new ROSE out but I’m not sure whether it’s being promoted as a single?
