  1. October? It's windy then and trees get blown about -_-
  2. Hey all. Jupsy here with an important 'massage' :P Just to make clear that Sparkle and myself really want to escape Modding duties. We are not being forced out by BJ Management who in fact have always been really supportive to us. The request to seek alternative Mod volunteers has came from us. So please don't hold back from volunteering because you think we'll be angry or upset at any perceived 'disloyalty' to us. Nothing could be further from the truth. WE WANT YOU TO VOLUNTEER!!! Basically we have been BJ Robbie Forum Mods for years now. More years than seems possible. But people's life priorities change as they get older. Real Life responsibilities eat up 'posting time'. The days when either of us could spend a couple of hours a night posting on BJ are long gone. I wish it wasn't so but unfortunately it is. And this Robbie Forum needs Mods who have fresh ideas and, more importantly, the spare time to devote to bringing it back to life. The BJ Robbie Forum is not in good health. I'm sure we all the remember the days when we had 20 or 30 different people posting every night. What happened? People move on. Drift away. Get older? Do something for me. Look in the Topic thread page. Look at the Chit Chat thread (our most popular thread). Click on the number of posts(around 300). You'll see a breakdown of everyone who has posted in that thread. Take me and Sparkle out of the equation. That's who we're left with folks. About 3 regular Robbie posters (and god love them for their loyalty). But no forum can survive on 3 or 4 active posters. For this Forum to survive, something drastic needs to happen. Robbie is still very popular. So where are the fans? Not on BJ obviously. We need to attract new members (or make the forum vibrant and interesting enough to attract the old members back). So if you think you have the ideas/skills/commitment to put in the required work and revitalise the forum, please do volunteer to be Mod. Even if you haven't been a frequent poster on here in the past, it doesn't matter. Go for it! Oh and just one other thing, Sparkle and me are not going anywhere. We'll still be on here posting as normal. The new Mods will have to keep us in line (God Help Them ) Soooooo, please volunteer. I have bundles of ironing to do and need some of my life back! Merci buckets, Jupsy x

From http://www.etonline.com/music/142224_Bono_...rs_Phil_Everly/ ET FIRST: Bono Remembers Phil Everly By ETONLINE STAFF January 05, 2014 Before his passing last week, Phil Everly of The Everly Brothers influenced many musicians, from Elvis Presley to The Beatles. U2's Bono revealed the impact that Everly made on his life in speaking with ET on the red carpet of the Palm Springs International Film Festival. "You can't avoid those harmonies, if you're a musician," said Bono, who received the festival's Sonny Bono Visionary Award along with his band U2. "One of my prized possessions is an Everly guitar -- beautiful guitar made by Gibson." Everly died on Friday following complications from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He was 74. The late musician and his brother Don formed one of the most influential vocal duos of the 20th century with hits such as Wake Up Little Susie, Bye Bye Love, Cathy's Clown, When Will I Be Loved and All I Have to Do is Dream.

  9. Hi :( I've been sick. Again. Same cold I had over Xmas came back with a vengeance at New Year. I'm getting better very slowly but still sick. Apparently it's a nasty viral infection that's doing the rounds. Loads of people have been ill. Anyway, I did manage to go see the Hobbit before I took to my bed. It was good. Although I don't remember Legolas being in the Hobbit book.

  13. Yes. I have 5 calendars to find homes for.... <_<
  14. Speaking of 'Auld Lang Syne', what really gets me is people who pronounce it wrong. All over the world. They pronounce it wrong. It's SYNE (with a soft 'S'), Not ZYNE (with a 'Z') Why does everybody sing it wrong? -_- -_- -_-
  15. I'm being forced to watch a documentary on the song Auld Lang Syne....
  16. Sparkle downloaded the GB album. And sent me a copy. She's trying to convert me to the dark side Luciano but I'm holding firm :smoke:
  17. Yip, Jasna is still on Facebook. Not on here very often though :(
  18. Nope. It won't. Sparkle sent me a Gary Barlow cd in the post
