  1. I think Ronan should have replaced Bono for a couple of gigs. And Bono could have joined Boyzone! What a missed opportunity!
  2. From http://www.rte.ie/ten/news/2014/0511/61658...ed-to-be-in-u2/ Ronan Keating wanted to be in U2 Sunday 11 May 2014 http://img.rasset.ie/00083888-630.jpg Keating: "I wanted to be in Oasis or Blur or U2" Boyzone star Ronan Keating wanted to be in "Oasis or Blur or U2" when he was growing up. Speaking to Australian website news.com.au, Keating said: "When I was 16, I didn't want to be in a boy band. I wanted to be in Oasis or Blur or U2." The Life is a Rollercoaster singer added: "But as you get older, you realise this is all fun and you shouldn't take yourself so seriously." Keating said that he considers his Boyzone bandmates to be like family: "Boyzone are my brothers. We're men now - fathers. It's not about making money and that whole game anymore. We enjoy being together, having a laugh, and being the band we need to be."

  5. This sentence from the following link really made me go :nocheer: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/entertainment...ove-irn-3521476 And on this year’s chart-topping follow-up album Little Red, she collaborated with producer Fraser T Smith and easy listening favourite Robbie Williams. This is what moving from Karma Killer to Putting on the Ritz does to a singer's reputation. <_<
  6. Some info for those of you attending the tour. CDs available of every performance http://www.musicweek.com/index.php/news/re...cordings/058378
  7. From http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2014/ma...voidance-ruling Take That stars face the music after tax ruling Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen among investors likely to face hefty tax bills after tribunal decision Around 1,000 wealthy investors including Take That's Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen could face hefty tax bills after a tax tribunal on Friday ruled that a partnership in which they invested was a tax avoidance scheme. Barlow's Larkdale LLP is just one of 51 so-called "Icebreaker partnerships", affected by the decision of Judge Colin Bishopp in a landmark victory for HM Revenue and Customs. Investors could now face substantial tax bills as a result of the decision. Bishopp ruled: "The underlying, and fundamental, conclusion we have reached is that the Icebreaker scheme is, and was known and understood by all concerned to be, a tax avoidance scheme." He accepted the partnerships were carrying on the trade of the exploitation of intellectual property rights, often in the creative industries, but said their main aim was to secure tax relief for members. Icebreaker partnership investments included aspiring pop acts, publishing ventures and the sale of "personal alarms". In evidence, some unnamed Icebreaker partners had earlier told Bishopp they had a genuine interest in the exploitation of rights, that they took an active role in the partnerships, and that they were aiming to make a profit from these ventures. They claimed: "Tax advantages were incidental to and not the principal reason for their having decided to join a partnership." The judge did not agree. "We are, indeed, quite satisfied that no serious and even moderately sophisticated investor, or one with a competent adviser, genuinely seeking a profit, even one willing to engage in a high-risk venture, but 20 unmindful of any possible tax advantage, would rationally have chosen an Icebreaker partnership." Through the partnerships, wealthy investors were claiming lucrative tax losses. In some cases Icebreaker scheme partners were attempting to claim tax relief on losses of up to five times more than they invested in the partnerships. Take That manager Jonathan Wild was also a member of the Larkdale partnership. Other band members, Jason Orange and Robbie Williams, were not Icebreaker investors. Details of the scheme emerged in 2012 in a Times investigation. At the time Take That's lawyers insisted the bandmates believed the investments were legitimate enterprises and not schemes designed to avoid tax, and that all four named paid "significant tax". There has been no suggestion of any illegality. Last night HMRC said: "We have put in place generous reliefs to support genuine business investment and our tax reliefs for the creative industries work well, enabling the UK's world-class film, television and video production companies to compete on the global stage. "But we will not tolerate abuse of the system by people trying to dodge their tax obligations." It is not clear whether the judgment will be appealed. :nono: :nono: :nono:
  8. From http://www.unrealitytv.co.uk/britains-got-...williams-bgt-2/ Oops! Simon Cowell DOESN’T want Take That’s Robbie Williams for BGT! May 10th, 2014 by Lynn Connolly. http://www.unrealitytv.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/robbie-williams-simon-cowell-460x270.jpg Well, things could be #awks at the next celebrity bash that both Simon Cowell and Robbie Williams attend as it’s been reported today that Britain’s Got Talent boss and judge Cowell does NOT want Take That star Robbie on the judging panel of his ITV talent quest show! Simon – who sits on the BGT judges’ bench alongside David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden – apparently jokingly told Heat magazine, “Whose job is he going to take? [Mine] or David’s?” He added, “The trouble is I like the panel on Britain’s Got Talent, but I would love to work with Robbie as well.” Then surely the obvious answer would be to take the Robster on as The X Factor’s fourth judge, then he can sit with not only Simon but Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh too? Well, Simon avoided answering that by saying, “I don’t know what we’re doing yet.” Robbie first intimated that he’d be open to joining up to the judging team on BGT a couple of weeks ago – you can click here to read more about that – having revealed that he wouldn’t consider becoming a coach on BBC show The Voice as he’s never even watched it. He said, “I’d be best on BGT to be honest. I like that one a lot.” Personally, I’d love to see Robbie on The X Factor. I think he’d be an awesome judge, and it’s not as though he’s any kind of a stranger to the show, given he’s assisted former judges Gary Barlow and Sharon Osbourne at their Judges’ Houses rounds in the past.
  9. Angels is still selling well in Mongolia I see :cheer:

  15. From http://metro.co.uk/2014/05/06/robbie-willi...g-role-4719789/ Robbie Williams has said he’d be keen to join the BGT judging panel, but has admitted there’s one TV talent show he wouldn’t consider – The Voice. ‘I’ve never seen The Voice. think I’d be best on BGT to be honest. I like that one a lot,’ he reportedly told The Sun. The Angels singer – who is currently expecting his second child with wife Ayda Field – may be a fan of Simon Cowell’s show, but he’d probably stand a better chance at the moment of joining the BBC singing competition’s panel. With coaches Kylie Minogue and Ricky Wilson not expected to return for the next series and Will.i.am previously saying that if Kylie left then he would follow, the show will be in dire need of some big names for the fourth series. Why Robbie wants to be on BGT He did admit he might not last too long if he was given the chance, though, because he’d be too honest. ‘Those TV shows are a great way to promote your music. But it probably wouldn’t take me long to get in trouble as I’ve got a big mouth. ‘I often say things that get me into loads of trouble.’ He has previously been a guest mentor on The X Factor, so perhaps he could take the middle road and join Si and Cheryl Cole on this year’s panel instead?
  16. Hush. -_- I'm on the same pay scale as Robbie. :drink:
