Chart Battle Rewind: Cascada vs Michael Jackson
If Cascada hadn't released, 'Man In The Mirror' would have been a posthumous #1, topping the chart by one sale ahead of La Roux that week! For that reason alone, I've voted MJ - I'm not entirely convinced it's one of his absolute best songs.

Streaming Services Chart Discussion; W/C 28/03/25
There's a thread for songs which peaked at each chart position 1-20, linking to Spotify playlists for the songs available there (an excellent resource regularly updated by Boymetworld91), and giving YouTube URLs for songs which aren't (or weren't) available on Spotify. In the course of the site migration, those URLs have changed to YouTube embeds, so beware the pages may be slow to load and don't display those songs in a readable list as they used to: https://www.buzzjack.com/forums/topic/253373-songs-by-chart-position-2/ original thread: https://www.buzzjack.com/forums/topic/252552-songs-by-chart-position/

Bop Idol 3.0: THE RESULTS!
Thanks for those points Lewis, ah well 5th wasn't to be, but 6th is great too. Congratulations Julian on a first song contest win! Bop Idol seems to be good at creating these! Looks like Scene won the tiebreak for 14th with more votes. Thank you Mango for hosting a fun edition!

Buzzjack Songs Multichart #990
Suki Waterhouse charting *.* Ravyn too but I'm sure she'll climb. Isn't this week ending 15th March?

Bop Idol 3.0: THE RESULTS!
Thanks Herbs! An exciting finish at the top I've never finished 5th in a song contest here, so I guess that would be the aim!

Bop Idol 3.0: THE RESULTS!

Thanks Cody and Addy for the points! The adjacent PJ Harvey album to this single is one of my favourites of this century

Thanks Julian - and great choice of 12 pointer!

Bop Idol 3.0: THE RESULTS!
Thanks Rich for the silver to open with! 'Amazing' is my favourite Madonna song of this century at least, and possibly of all her William Orbit productions too it's like 'Beautiful Stranger' without the cod-60s bits and instead a fragility at the edges which I just love. It was the first song to spring to mind for this contest, though I did anticipate it might get vetoed - especially when I realised Madonna has an artist forum - but I then saw that rule 3 from the last Bop Idol about artists forums had been taken out this time!

Bop Idol 3.0: THE RESULTS!
But I thought I was supposed to have sent nothing M83!

Bop Idol 3.0: THE RESULTS!
I thought Rich sent them too because of Alcazar, but after the posts earlier sending Annie made a lot of sense!

✦ BJSC 173 ✦ SEMI-FINAL RESULTS ✦
Brer mentioned (in the semis results thread for BJSC 168) that your previous best streak was 10, so you've beaten that with Greenfroze now on 13! That's the joint 5th longest current streak alongside Bøtanikkä and Trifoski, behind Hendinia (53 / broken streak 58), Kathaldazia (21), Aeroche (18) and Danæviia (15).

BJSC 173 Willow Kayne - Zenosyne Result: 35th Points received: 118 | voters: 13 18 | Oslol 13 | Mothertopia 12 | Persephonia 11 | East Rukahavian 11 | Hushkanukia 10 | Macromia 9 | Altyr Muunilinst 8 | Neliönoir 8 | Singerpurear 6 | Ajanaeda 5 | Taahino 5 | Ultraviolenceland 2 | Kathaldazia (AQ) Back down to earth after last month's high, which is now my only finish in the top two thirds of the final scoreboard in the last 6 contests - this was either a good use of an AQ that might have struggled to qualify otherwise, or... actually I'll go with that. Still, very happy to receive votes from three new nations, all of them in double figures at that! Points given 18 | Trifoski | Safe Mind - 6' Pole 15 | Singerpurear | Split Enz - I Got You 13 | Bøtanikkä | Sam Quealy - Watch Me Now (Queen Of The Night) 12 | Jadakissnia | Kraftwerk - Europe Endless 11 | POPHub | Lu.Re - Take Me Up 10 | Dobago | ROONIN & STRLGHT - LEAVING ME 9 | Neliönoir | Ninajirachi - All I Am 8 | Oslol | Deane - Keep Dancing To The Music 7 | The Spodic Empire | Elsiane - The Motive 6 | Danæviia | Simian Mobile Disco - Hustler 5 | Mothertopia | SASAMI - I'll Be Gone 4 | Summericia | David Holmes - It's Over, If We Run Out Of Love (feat. Buzzjack's Ultimate UK Number 7 Single - The Final
Two of my top 5 out yesterday - The Kooks were hardly groundbreaking but that is one of my favourite singles of the 2000s. 'Le Freak' is a classic of disco, not only for the musical genius of Nile and Bernard, but also the lyrics about hedonistic dancing which disguise a darker meaning.

✦ BJSC 173 ✦ GRAND FINAL RESULTS ✦
Congratulations Josh! Always happy to see a first time winner. I voted for 5 of the top 10 and two others were commiserations, including FARC - with that gap between 2nd and 3rd I really hope you get an AQ! Kraftwerk in 4th is fantastic as is Simian Mobile Disco in 9th. Shame to see my biggest retro fave this contest from Split Enz so much lower, but that's how it goes (also the second time Singerpurear have beaten me in a tiebreak!) I had no expectations and sent a song I thought would have been borderline doubtful to Q, so a unique position in triple figure points is fine and votes from 3 new nations is a nice bonus. Only receiving two scores from the second half of voters is kind of hilarious (maybe Josh or whoever hosts next could reveal the results in reverse order of receipt to prevent me getting my hopes up?), as is a 40th->2nd->35th trajectory, but I enjoyed my AQ experience. My votes in the semi didn't make any huge waves: semi 1 was pretty clean (shocked to see Greenfroze so low though) and in semi 2 my votes 3-6 especially were close, so I did wonder whether Terra Avium would have Q'ed with my 6, but it seems not, and I'm glad The Spodics made it through with a big grower since then. Thank you Patrick for your hosting, and to you and Leww for the colourful concept and presentation!

✦ BJSC 173 ✦ GRAND FINAL RESULTS ✦
Would be great - still not over 100 myself (one vote in the last 21 - these late voter slumps are pretty dispiriting and can't be coincidental)
