Voted for panicbaby, one of the standouts from my NMF listen this week!

Their song was in the previous Bop Idol - in fact I believe that was part of the inspiration for these rates! I didn't have much time to take part in this rate, but I didn't really have any huge favourites out of the tracklist either - whereas looking at the next one, I have a few songs to root for, so will definitely take part. Nevertheless I've found it very interesting to follow these results and commentaries - thanks Jade!

Switching to The Farm - the original is great but I wouldn't seek out this remix.

The thing for songs that have been around for so long is that if they decrease one week, they then have more chance of increasing the next week to get back to where they were the week before.

Not me performing worse in each new test run much as I'd still be happy to end my run of top 30 misses, another 21st place from run #2 would sting a lot after the "contender" predictions (I'm still not fully convinced of those either, but it's nice to be a little part of that conversation). Interesting to see this methodology anyway, will take it over ChatGPT slop.

Congratulations AllStar this one didn't get my votes, but your Blood Cultures one in BJSC sounds quite up my street from one SF2 listen, so that might! Happy to see my top scorer in second place, an utter joy of a remix for that Belle and Sebastian song, not a million miles from 'Together In Electric Dreams'! Found points a little harder to come by than I expected with this one, but I still have a 12 thank you Julian! BJSC 183 Cult Of Venus - Sinner So it's come to this: my first self-recycle. As my previous Cult Of Venus entry was the one to start my current run of only one top 30 finish in the last 8 contests, it would be ideal for her also to bring that run to an end, as a redemption for her as well as me. I've had this as a potential since its release last June, and had an inkling it might have a little more appeal than 'Algorithm' had in BJSC... ...and as I'm late typing this up, I can already confirm it has qualified! BJSC 182 Binzatina - Implosion Result: DNQ (SF1: 26th, 29) In a shocking turn of events, the majority of voters in SF1 who I didn't think would like my entry didn't vote for it, while a number of those in SF2 who I thought might like it said they would have given it points. This created some unwanted milestones - a first DNQ streak, one top 30 finish in the last 8 contests (when I managed 8 in a row not so long ago), and "DNQ" once again becomes my most common finishing position in all Buzzjack song contests with 7 occurrences, moving ahead of 2nd again. Westlife have two songs called 'Home' - the first an album track from 2003, which iirc made it into the Top 200 in the weeks leading up to the release of their 2007 #3 hit of the same name!

Now I've seen the scores, that's harsh for Taahino and Zanmatony coming so close in SF1, the latter was in my thinking for points! From my one listen to SF2, I liked each of the Dobago, Land of DW, Abeltesfayeton and especially Hushkanukia entries, sad to see them all out.
