Completely forgot about some of these like The Fratellis :o Arctics, Ed and Dua got my vote as the ones for whom I have particular faves from multiple eras.

Any thoughts about when to have a listenthrough for this? Pending BJSC perhaps, but I'd be up for one or other tomorrow.

In an alternative universe, Supergrass and Blur both had turns at #1. Would have been less poetic for a 2-minute song called 'Song 2' perhaps. At least it has done well in the long run.

I'm sure some would choose 8/8 female artists for these polls every week, it is what it is. (I might have voted for Jessica Winter but can't argue with the selection.) That said, I didn't have any huge favourites this week from NMF at all, not just in this poll. Addison got my vote here.

Not sure about the Sam one, should work as an album closer but perhaps not one I'll come back to much otherwise. Voted for Lucy, preferred it to the last couple of hers I think.

The Armin one is decent, it was between that and HAAi for me and I went with the latter. Not big on the one that's winning though.

Kind of a shame the tracking week isn't Mon-Sun as that would surely have seen Kendrick #1 this week and Gaga #2 last week. Don't recall seeing 'APT.' ahead of 'That's So True' on Spotify any other day since perhaps October (I know it always gets a boost at the weekend).

Big losses from my votes with both of those since I commented! Tom Tom Club only had three Top 75 hits - haven't heard their cover of 'Under The Boardwalk', but the other two ('Wordy Rappinghood' and 'Genius Of Love' - the latter sampled in Mariah Carey's 'Fantasy') are both brilliant. Today I learnt Crispin Hunt was one of the co-writers of 'Dream Catch Me', presumably he who was singer in 90s indie band Longpigs - by extension, today I also learnt Richard Hawley was the band's guitarist!

Actually it entered at #8 and climbed to #7 (it was becoming quite rare for singles to climb in their second week, especially for rock / alternative acts, so this was rather a surprise, albeit it was a fairly quiet week for 1996). 'You're All I Have' was the encore when I saw Snow Patrol live in 2009 and has always been one of my favourites of theirs - as my wildcard it did well to reach the top 40 (perhaps I should have honoured my maximum score from the first round with 25 points in this round, but that would only have taken it a place higher).
