90s Top 10 Sales- Week by Week- 1998
Haven't commented in this thread yet! Belated yay for the chart success of 'Brimful Of Asha', I bought it on release of the remix and it's in my top three #1s of the 1990s to this day. 'Teardrop' is my favourite of the latest top 10, wonderful to see Massive Attack finally land one there after they (and fellow Bristol-based trip-hopper Tricky with his own songs) narrowly missed out on doing so previously. I seem to remember them being even higher in the midweeks - I recall they were at #3 on The Chart Show the previous day. On which note, 'Feel It' was starting to show considerable resilience at this point, and what she is going to look like with a chimney on her became one of those few questions that we needed to know [sic].

Schlagerfest II: 🌌The Results🌌
Congrats Rich! I had an Yndling, sorry inkling it might do quite well, and after about three listens it was the clear standout tune here! Happy with my first ever top 10 finish in a spin-off contest just Nuggets to cross off that list from the regular contest fixtures now, I think! Thanks NocheLuna for hosting! One day I'll find that main contest finalist worthy of your vote 🤞

Thanks Ansel - with the voters left, realistically I'm hoping for a first ever 10th place finish at best.

Yeah 'Joker' made my chart, as did her earlier song 'Jinx!' which had been in my thinking for BJSC but never quite made it to the top of my potentials pile.

Another strong contest for other nation's entries I've already charted: FljótavÃk, Ajanaeda (again), Mothertopia, Neliönoir - all either the AQ or in the other semi though. At least 2 or 3 of those could be put in the "winner contender" bracket too!

GOLD Chic - Good Times/I Want Your Love Disco classics both (the first especially), but why the joint classification - were they ever on the same double A-side?

Top 100 Singles + Albums; W/E 04/09/25
I'd say that's looking very likely - only a handful of Christmas songs usually re-enter by mid-November. A shame for 'Good Luck, Babe!' to lose its continuous run because of the 'HOT TO GO!' reset, although it's hard to tell yet how much longer that might have lasted otherwise.

Should easily be enough for regular semis with 20 final places in each then. At least Dandy won a day out of everyone's votes!

Songs that peaked at the number referenced in its title
Utah Saints - Something Good '08... If we count Dan's ten-uous ones for #10, I think every position in the Top 10 has been covered in this thread except #6 - the closest I can come up with is Hot Chocolate's 1997 release of "You Sechs-y Thing"

An irony being that she hasn't had a day at #1 on Spotify since 'good 4 u', over 4 years ago now.

Mim Webb - 24/5 (well almost, but it does have the words "twenty" and "five" in the title!) ABBA - Money Money Money (if you sum each appearance of "one")

RabbitFurCoat Revisits Personal Chart #1 Singles
'Big Sur' I also liked a lot at the time - it may have been vying with 'Bring Me To Life' for my own #1 if I'd run a personal chart then. I did like 'Universally Speaking' then as now, but had the album on heavy rotation for almost a full year by then and would have preferred 'Dosed' as a single. '7 Nation Army' is great but wasn't the most instant for me, as I wanted more like 'Fell In Love With A Girl' from them. 'Loneliness' would have charted high for me though, and 'Get Busy' would have had a decent run.

Monday was a bank holiday, so similar to Sundays most weeks in that streams of new songs were generally lower.
