  1. No complaints about this bottom two. I'm hoping a certain song doesn't appear too soon! 'Sign 'O' The Times' is a classic (Prince's best song for me), but it peaked at #10 before Ferry Aid was released then moved 12-15-21 during those 3 weeks at #1, so that didn't keep it from the top.
  2. Spotify update for Saturday (14/3): 01 [01] Bella Kay - iloveitiloveitiloveit (690,321) 02 [02] Olivia Dean - Man I Need (639,949) 03 [03] Sam Fender & Oliva Dean - Rein Me In (571,746) [edit version not in top 200] 04 [04] Harry Styles - American Girls (533,298) 09 [10] Dominic Fike - Babydoll [new peak] 23 [06] SIENNA SPIRO - The Visitor 45 [17] Noah Kahan - Porch Light

New peak for 'Rein Me In' on its 20th Reshuffle +5 Harry Styles - Aperture +4 PinkPantheress - Stateside +3 Sombr - Homewrecker +2 Olivia Dean - Man I Need +1 Sam Fender & Olivia Dean - Rein Me In -1 Harry Styles - American Girls -2 Alex Warren - FEVER DREAM -3 Bella Kay - iloveitiloveitiloveit -4 Harry Styles - Ready Steady Go -5 Olivia Dean - So Easy (To Fall In Love)
  4. Voted - and from my ranking each of the songs from 1-24, here's how the ties turned out (with the top to bottom and left to right orders anonymised): 1 vs. 2 3 vs. 22 4 vs. 12 5 vs. 6 7 vs. 17 8 vs. 16 9 vs. 23 10 vs. 11 13 vs. 24 14 vs. 18 15 vs. 21 19 vs. 20 So those 4 ties in bold were brutal as there was so little to choose between them! The 1 vs. 2 (whichever tie could that be...) was still a fairly clear choice, but the 5 vs. 6 and especially 10 vs. 11 ones were really tough

How unfortunate it didn't coincide with Buzzjack being down
  6. This - an absolute nothingburger. Jack Peñate's is easily my favourite here.
  7. Switching to Jakatta now
  8. Week 9: voted 21P and Lana. Feel bad for blanking both Mumford & Sons songs, but I don't think either are up to their singles last year. Week 10: just voted for Bella, hope this has some of the success of her current Top 3 hit. Interesting results in this poll as it stands!
  9. 33 entries in, it's come to this...
  10. Olivia Rodrigo this week
  11. Fully caught up now - congratulations Mattias on your win! I thought I had voted for Halou until my votes were revealed as I juggled the lower end a lot, so they must have just dropped out, but no matter - Ugress were also close, then all of 3rd-11th made my top 10, so these results were pretty aligned with my tastes, and only my bronze medallist GOSS deserved much better. And thank you Sabrewulf for the top score - songs by the same artist are never guaranteed to have the same appeal, so I'm pleased you liked this recent R. Missing song as well as yours from BJSC! Turns out this was my only medal, but glad many others liked it too - 17 voters feels a lot for 12th, so thanks to all of you. I think 'infinifalls' is my favourite of hers that I've heard, though as I charted it last year, I fancied sending a different song here. Thank you Addy for hosting! 👏

+5 Zara Larsson - Lush Life +4 Harry Styles - Aperture +3 Bruno Mars - I Just Might +2 PinkPantheress - Stateside +1 Sombr - Homewrecker -1 Olivia Dean - Man I Need -2 Sam Fender & Olivia Dean - Rein Me In -3 Alex Warren - FEVER DREAM -4 Bella Kay - iloveitiloveitiloveit -5 Olivia Dean - So Easy (To Fall In Love)
  13. LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER has a key place in my early BJSC history, and even though I'm not as keen on this one on first listen, the sheer joy comes across from him actually being able do this, so an easy vote for me here.
  14. 1 ABBA - Take a Chance on Me 2 Blondie - Sunday Girl 3 Erasure - Chorus 4 The Corrs - Summer Sunshine 5 Florence + the Machine - My Love 6 HAIM - Want You Back 7 Scissor Sisters - Let’s Have a Kiki 8 The Chicks - Julianna Calm Down 9 Atomic Kitten - Eternal Flame Peak period ABBA and Blondie, even if many of their best songs were in the 80s. Afraid that's my least favourite HAIM song to chart in the UK (not counting the Taylor one ) but they'll be fine. Feel for The Chicks getting a hard time now that the other acts have all had more commercial success, but they've done well regardless.
  15. 1 ROSALÍA - Reliquia 2 FKA twigs - Stereo Boy 3 Nelly Furtado - Try 4 Lily Allen - 22 5 Kelly Clarkson - Haunted 6 Delta Goodrem - Eclipse 7 LiSA - Akeboshi (明け星) 8 Chappell Roan - After Midnight 9 Kesha - RED FLAG. Hearing 'Reliquia' away from the album has made me appreciate it more, another great ROSALÍA choice. 2-4 very good too - I hadn't paid much attention to the lyrics of '22' before. 5-7 sound decent (loads of big Kelly hits remain unused so she's still my tip to win), Chappell just OK, Kesha I fear may need to break out the stunning 'Eat The Acid' to climb up my votes again.
  16. 1 George Michael - Jesus to a Child 2 David Bowie - Lazarus 3 The Weeknd feat. Daft Punk - Starboy 4 Romy & Fred again.. - Strong 5 Les Rythmes Digitales feat. Nik Kershaw - Sometimes 6 Conan Gray - Caramel 7 Tone Damli feat. Eric Saade - Imagine 8 Troye Sivan - Angel Baby 9 Ruel - I Can Die Now One of George's best songs - I also appreciate it much more now than when it was out. Not the best so far from Nik or Conan for me, but still my top discoveries here.
  17. Finally caught up - congratulations John! I thought you were due another big hit, and I'm glad it's one I voted for too. Look forward to visiting Altyr next month! Great to see the top 3 of my votes all made the top 10, and that the Pagasa deduction didn't do too much damage by remaining top 5. The other two deductees also made my votes, but at least both stayed top 20. Sad to see that bottom 3 - two of my votes including the host, plus East Ruk who just missed my cutoff in the final, but got my 3 points in the semi and needed those to qualify. Regarding my top scorer, this is the second time recently I've DNQed after passing up a song which went top 5 in the same edition - as I alluded to in my votes, I voted for 'cul-de-sac' in Pop Track of The Week (with Bré the only other voter) and playlisted it even before that, so I'm very pleased that it's a fave of Patrick's too and a well-deserved podium finish for Klum Rep. On top of that, Haute & Freddy of course had my entry to the PFSC: Best Of 2025 with 'Shy Girl' which finished 10th there, but I had pegged it to send it to BJSC 180 after KÄSSY in BJSC 179 before some ill-advised changes of plan... so plenty of what-might-have-beens, but at least people are still getting to hear and appreciate those songs and that's the main thing - I'd much rather that than see the songs I support go to the DNQ wasteland, which is the real issue with the fairly dismal run my actual entries have had of late. Though it was certainly some consolation to hear from several people in the opposite semi that they did like my entry this time. Thank you Sabrewulf for your excellent hosting!
  18. Yes my bad, I originally wrote that about 'BOY CRAZY.' but then swiftly added the word "yet" as I remembered 'Midnight Sun' was still to come! (And then added "second" as I'd overlooked 'Ordinary').
  19. So it will be in April, pending the last few of Julian's reviews for 1982.
  20. Also 'Peru' for Ed! (22 weeks)
  21. First song ever to spend 4 consecutive weeks at #35!
  22. 'Into The Groove' is my favourite Madonna #1 Amazing how often one of these old songs reset enters at #40!
