  1. I'm pretty sure Mangø sent Rina and Addy sent Christina. That just leaves the mystery of which of Wardy and I sent Ellie and who sent SASAMI, which I'm really struggling to work out
  2. I agree with Julian's guesses for groups with those two now swapped (edit: although some of the others have changed now which I thought were correct before - basically I agree with Jade in the next comment). Solo males I'd guess Tom and Charlie are the other way around, but not sure. Solo females I'd also swap a couple around (but do they involve mine )
  3. OK I've changed my vote to 'Insania' - I found the staged setup of how it was supposedly written in the jungle somewhat endearing, but when it arrived with its dated production, the joke had gone too far.
  4. Grace's song is good but Reneé's is great, looks like it might be on its way to becoming a hit too!
  5. ^ It was from the 90s so not covered by this forum! The Pussycat Dolls' title reads rather like a statement on their future career, except "We went as far as Nicole felt like going, then kept going for a bit until her solo career properly took off, then reformed for one single" might be more accurate.
  6. 'Electrical Storm' was the track to make my top 10 of 2002 from that batch - U2 could still come up with some gems in the early 2000s and William Orbit's production gives it that awake-at-4am feel before it bursts out in the second chorus. 'Like I Love You' was a great solo debut with one of the best Neptunes productions, and I like 'The Zephyr Song' a lot - I do get that it might feel overshadowed by some of their other singles, but the Chili Peppers rarely put a foot wrong around this time. I was less bothered by the Idlewild one so concur with the middling score there. Lots of guitar based stuff that week though, and hardly any the following week, funny how the release schedules ended up like that.
  7. Switching to Nelly, not bad but I much prefer at least two of the other singles from Loose
  8. Some memorable songs here, but for the right reasons? I'll be very disappointed if Wu-Tang aren't top 5 at least. Starting with George, this wasn't his best musical idea bless him
  9. OK well there was interest, so I'm happy to host for SF2, starting at 8pm! (BST) https://sync-tube.de/room/QBklrmLK
  10. Votes sent to pay the rent!
  11. 01 Elton John - Crocodile Rock [favourite] 02 Bob Dylan - Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right 03 Damiano David - Zombie Lady 04 James Blake - Retrograde 05 Enrique Iglesias - Bailamos 06 Lemon Demon - Two Trucks 07 Tom Aspaul - Kiss It 08 Charlie Puth - Light Switch
  12. 01 CHVRCHES - Clearest Blue [favourite] 02 Pet Shop Boys - Always On My Mind 03 The Saturdays - Ego 04 A-ha - Cry Wolf 05 YVA - Grožio Fabrikas 06 WALK THE MOON - Jenny 07 ENHYPEN - Brought the Heat Back 08 Fifth Harmony - That’s My Girl
  13. 'Revolving Door' at #9. Pretty sure Tate's tour is the main reason her album has been resurgent in recent weeks.
  14. In theory, this would have been a slam dunk for my vote going to Wolf Alice, because they're brilliant, and their last album was brilliant, and this new song will be brilliant probably once it's grown on me a bit more which it is doing, but I also like the Black Honey song a lot and that's grown on me too - so I've given them a vote. Wolf Alice were always going to walk this poll anyway!
  15. Listenthrough tomorrow perhaps? SF2 preferred but could join for either.
  16. BJSC 175 Cult Of Venus - Algorithm Halfway to the 50th anniversary already, the contests have flown by! After discovering this over 3 months ago on release, excited for its 3 minutes of indie-electropop perfection to finally see the light of day here!
  17. Taahino's airline name
  18. From that semi, I've also charted the yeule song as well as SASAMI's which I prefer to the one previously entered, and the Atlantic Ocean song is a classic *.*
  19. This is all kinds of amazing, well done Addy! Loving the airline graphics and intros, as well as the real information on when everyone debuted and how many contests they've entered!
  20. A few new peaks today including 'One Thing' at #54. All the Eurovision songs falling a little, though Remember Monday have dropped out of the top 200
  21. Perhaps not the greatest Top 10 of the 1980s, but interesting to see the previous week's #2, #3, #4, #5 & #7 appearing in reverse order and a new entry overtaking them all.
  22. So long 'Treat Mode' - another sizeable hit in my chart gets a turn as a one-week wonder here.
  23. Sometime that doesn't clash with BJSC listenthroughs or results - so tonight perhaps?
  24. 'Fools Gold' is a classic and would go on to have a long and much-revived chart history to prove it, just like The Stone Roses' debut album. 'What The World Is Waiting For' is very good too, while 'She Bangs The Drums' (the only of these that's actually on their debut album) is my favourite of theirs.
  25. My favourites since I last commented: 'Little By Little' - I prefer this one to SCYHO which I liked at first but found it dragged a bit after a while - 'Someday' - all the singles from The Strokes' debut were great, including sub-Top 40 'The Modern Age' - and 'Dreaming Of You' - a fine revival of the 60s Merseybeat sound. Lots of good stuff coming in the next batch, including another of my top 10 of the year...
