Tbh it is a terrible song. Definitely Mel's worst on the album and her worst lead single as a whole. It's also very gimmicky as a song, which personally doesn't bode well for me at all.

From what I see over the last few months, it actually depends on how active the girls are - whenever they release music!

Oh if they did Say You'll Be There ones and Viva Forever ones, I would buy them for sure! I'm not fussed about ANOTHER set of the Brit Awards one with the union jack all over it. I think I would skip those, or at least Geri's (I removed her Union jack piece from the Lego set lol).

OK I went back to the album and my god Flick of the Wrist might be one of her best songs ever! A proper tune, well crafted overall. So far, I am taking: Drum Machine Pressure Cashmere Flick of the Wrist Stunning, surprising songs overall. I know Cashmere is not everyone's favourite but I like its vibe and makes me happy, and I loooooove when she sings 'honey' in the second verse, it is heart melting. The rest is still not clicking with me.

It would actually be hilarious if Sweat, the first single and the song that gives the album it's title and framework, is the first one out LOL

Yeah I agree it is strange... Maybe it is from 1997! A theory could be that they did the original demo with Melanie C in 1997 and then further developed it into a full song in 1998 when Mel B was pregnant for what was to be the next album, and maybe this is what she remembers?...

UPDATES: Mel C just said in one of her signings that Can't Stay Tonight was recorded while Mel B was pregnant and that the full finished song might turn up at some point. We always thought it was from 1997 but I guess it is a 1998 recording, damn! Maybe from the post Spiceworld tour sessions in Oct-November 1998 since Mel and Emma recorded with Biff and Matt during that time?...🤔 I have added the upcoming Mel C with Roger Sanchez to the list

They really put their whole main efforts into the UK and Australia this time and at least in those two countries it paid off.

So so far we have: UK: #3 AUSTRALIA: #5 GERMANY: #54 AUSTRIA: #44 So far, that's all we know for international positions right?
