I had a listen to it again just now and yeah it is one of their worst possible demos that we know of lol... at least Feed Your Love was somewhat more listenable and was 'new'. We had this and in this quality already, and it sucks lol

Damn right, Jay I think it is extremely sad on how they behave with most of the releases. It might not be selling millions but it is your own legacy of music we're talking about here and it is disrespectful. And yes, by their own fault, they have been reduced to rumours about a tour, Wannabe and selling tshirts. Funny enough, when the pre-announcement went viral, there were many people demanding a tour and an album, not just a tour. Clearly the demand is there. But some of them only see a tour as a possible way to reunite, which also is so self-defeating because they know two of them wont want to tour. I blame Mel C here, primarily, but also Mel B only talks about a tour as well. I think without new music or at least something new, it will be hard to convince Geri to get back on stage again. So they are stuck, stuckup and rude. It does not bode well at all for anyone. Fans are bored of this, and I bet the label is seriously pissed - again! I would be if not even one of them acknowleged any release since 2022!

You could tell Madonna was a bit taken by Emma, waving at her at first when arriving, giving her a big hug and even talking a bit with her before moving on to give her speech. She knows Emma is not just a Spice Girl, she is a Spice Girl that also released Free Me which has been hugely influencial in Madonna's own career (in my dreams)

True... they should call it something else though. Charli XCX and Diplo already released a version of Wannabe called 'Spicy' so makes no sense for Orbital to do the same lol

yes it was a record label thing, for sure. but to trash on a release like this is f***ing awful in my opinion. Just say that you were happy to be correct about there being demand for a tour/new era, don't trash the actual music celebration. Or don't mention anything at all.. It's not even a bad release like Spiceworld25 or Forever25... effort, money and craft by designers and audio-producers were clearly put towards this release to celebrate your own 30-year-anniversary. the huge amount of publicity and the fact that it was such a big launch, clearly means the label put good marketing money and strategy into it. It's disrespectful as f*** to trash it as 'just a vinyl' in such a tone on one of the biggest TV shows in the US.

Seems like the Netflix show is still on-going! ps. this is not the rumoured Documentary that was shelved, this is a TV Drama series writen by Jack Rooke (one of the best UK TV writers) and the Production team of The Crown. Let's hope it happens! The Spice Girls' long-awaited TV drama has been secretly revived as its writer reveals a script has now been written and the project is "in active development". The proposed Netflix show had appeared to hit the buffers earlier this year, when The Sun revealed plans had been shelved amid tensions between the bandmates. But BAFTA-winning Big Boys creator Jack Rooke, 33, has now given fans fresh hope by confirming work is continuing on the project. "Yes, I have been developing something," Jack said. "I've been developing something that is, I would say, more than a music biopic. It's like a sort of fun comedy drama." Speaking on BBC Sounds' Sidetracked with Annie and Nick on Thursday, he added: "There has been a script written with me and a lovely little group of gals and gays. But that's all I can say. I would love for the Spice Girls themselves to love that too. And those discussions are ongoing, so we'll see…" The project, being developed by The Crown producer Suzanne Mackie, had been lined up to capitalise on the 30th anniversary of the Spice Girls' debut hit Wannabe this year. But in February, The Sun revealed the show had been shelved after the project failed to reach the commissioning stage at Netflix. Ongoing tensions between members of the band were said to have made getting all five Spice Girls on board difficult. It was suggested the idea could potentially be revisited at a later stage. Jack's comments now confirm a script has been written and that he considers the project to still be in active development. He did not say whether Netflix had formally commissioned the series or if all five Spice Girls have signed off on it. Jack, who won his second BAFTA for comedy writing earlier this year, made clear he remains a huge fan of the women. He said: "They really, for me, represent the first time that we saw working-class women be ambitious in British pop culture. A lot of Spice Girls detractors could say it was also the first time it became a big capitalist entity – they sold everything. But that's still a story about ambition and class, and how important that is to see. Once you see it, then it becomes what I think we have today, which is so many more women in the media and in music being loud and outspoken and being particularly British." Jack added: "If we're going to have these four films about the Beatles, then I do think we need a big comedy rump about the Spice Girls."

Now, I know this isn't necessarily the release most fans wanted - because this is a collectors' edition mainly. It's fine as a release, they just should have made more incentives for fans overall to buy them. What I don't like - at all - is how little the girls themselves seem to care for their music and releases. They havent promoted anything at all since Mel C promoted Spice25 release. Now with this, not even a single one of them shared or even liked a post about it. And last night a video of Mel B bitching about this release on the Jennifer Hudson show TV came up and it pissed me off. The way she pisses all over 'a vinyl' as if that is the extent of this release, really put me off. No wonder the record label does the bare minimum for them, when they themselves never do anything either and even throw the releases under the bridge. Don't shit where you eat Mel.

Nice. This 30th anniversary is getting quite a lot of media like this, which only enriches their presence and hopefully makes the Singles Collection sell... A shame the group itself is doing f*** all about it

Apparently Wannabe is in the new Girlband movie with Rebel Wilson that Mel C is a part of, and hopefully that will make it catch up a little (but I doubt it, the movie looks awful lol....) Anyway, really wish they would update the sales of all singles indeed...

Hopefully the Official Charts website will do an article on the release of The Singles Collection and give us some updates on the singles... I think it would be the perfect time to state how many million sellers they have lol... Also, I was wondering a few things related to this release... The Singles Collection counts as its own album right? It wont count towards individual singles, at least the CD and Vinyl box sets right? Digitally, however, how does it work? Obviously people can buy the whole digital release as one, but they can also download individual tracks (you can already do that with the Wannabe tracks and Do You Think About Me). Will individual track sales go towards the Collection or individual singles?... And do individual purchases of the remixes count towards the main songs' sales? Say, if I buy only the 2 Become 1 (Orchestral) track on iTunes, will that count only towards 2 Become 1 sales? I am confusion!!!

They just shared unseen footage from the Say You'll Be There video. This is very cute and glad they are using unseen footage again.. seems like they are picking up on their social media game lately (good, finally!) Archival stuff - music, footage, images - is what fans have been asking for a long long time.

I mean, this would be a dream but I have a question in relation to the charts rules and how it works: would this not technically qualify as a new Greatest Hits though, with so many songs added to the original tracklist? In your suggestion, which I am of the opinion should happen as well, you are technically adding 5 tracks to the original 'main album' tracklist. Not as bonus or an extra CD but on the main tracklist of the album.

I totally get that the price might be right for the amount of printed vinyl included, it is just too off the scale for me right now. The CD version itself is the most expansive and it is already expensive as hell too but at least it has 160 tracks to it across 14 CDs and extras. In this economy, it is just too much to ask for right now...

isn't it funny that the last two times some of them got together to promote something group-related were literal adverts of Coinmaster and Dunkin???!!!.... I believe only Mel C has actively promoted some of the anniversary releases (Spice25, nothing since then lol)... Money Grabbing Spices lol

Also, I do think the reason the individual Spices have not acknowleged it at all is because they themselves are only involved to the point of signing it off to go ahead. They are clearly not involved in this at all as a group. This is a record label-iniciative. And we know they dont have the best relationship with the band anyway...
