  8. Some more information on the Spice coins: They will be featured (represented by sillouettes and signatures) on specially made coins. There will be 5 individual coins for each denomination - £200, £100, £25, £10, £5 x2 types, £2 and 50p. These will not be in circulation (which is a shame) but you will be able to buy them of course. The whole lot might come to around £2000 alltogether. It will be limited so it will be a collectors' item. Kind of like the stamps thing, but more exclusive I guess? https://privycouncil.independent.gov.uk/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Coinage-Proclamation-Spice-Girls-and-Pink-Flloyd.pdf GET THOSE COINS GIRLS (literally!). I bet the Royal Mint paid a hefty fee for the rights to do it

I think you will be able to get whatever is left after the RSD is over, I think the next day usually the remaining stock goes on general sale?
  10. It's been noted that the King of England has approved a limited series of UK coins in celebration of the Spice Girls. That's wild!! It has not been announced officially yet but you can see the official note from the monarchy's meeting: https://privycouncil.independent.gov.uk/news_post/privy-council-meeting-9/ For a British band, thats pretty huge. They will actually be on coins lol Pink Floyd is the other group being celebrated. From this, and since two of them already have MBE's, I could see them getting some sort of group MBE or something like that for services to music. (after this, lets definitely abolish the monarchy ok?)
  11. Yeah it is shocking. The main issue here was the relenteless promo that each girl did for their respective promo, whereas the group was facing huge backlash and barely promoted the song at all....
  12. GET ON THAT STAGE NOW!!!!

Oh wow That's Northern Star first print levels! Go on Mel B, promote it!! I would love it if she actually went out to sign it in Leeds stores lol

I'm gonna buy it and I don't care! This will be the only print there ever will be and Im vastly more excited about this than Reason. (And I quite like how tacky the cover design is! It's the kind of tacky that just works lol) I know all you fags wanted to have her tatas on a big vinyl cover but Virgin said NO!!!
  16. I'm still miffed that Holler is not considered a Spice classique and actually sold LESS than Out of Your Mind, I Turn To You and It's Raining Men did! This is unforgivable in this fandom and everyone single one of you bitches should re-download it and stream it everyday as punishment!
  17. Viva Forever has now over 100million streams on Spotify It still does around 70k on a regular day! They now finally have 7 songs over that threshold which is pretty great, with 2 Become 1 and Say You'll Be There pretty close to joining Stop in the over 200million fraction as well. Wannabe, well does roughlu 450,000 - 500,000 per day so it eats up the others pretty easily lol it will probably get to 2billion before Viva Forever even gets to 120million lol... Sadly, the nexts songs that are closest to the 100million level have a long long way to go... Mama is on 48million Too Much is on 45million Goodbye is on 35,5million Holler is on 30,8milion...
  18. Totally agree. I think they sort of touched on the overexposure before but it would be good to see them discussing how it affected them. There was a clear more to tone down on sponsorship post 1997, and focus more on music. Mel C says so in her book, how she and Emma made a point of shifting the group's focus away from too much merch. They were right to do this, of course and they did do that for a while: touring (which was meant to go for longer if it hasnt been for the pregnancies) performing live more often on TV shows like TFI Friday, Pavarotti live shows, collaborations with other artists - My Strongest Suit, How Does It Feel and the It's Only Rock'n'Roll, etc All of this while touring and recording more music throughout 1998 before and after Geri left. I think that the shift made Geri feel a bit redundant (her own words!) as she was the Head of Sponsorship after they left Simon, so the shifting dynamics probably affected them a lot behind the scenes. I would love for them to dive in to this, and the recordings in 1999 and why they ditched them.
  19. You never know, it culd have been even worse lol only Mel C liked it apparently and she was out voted The fact they chose Headlines and Voodoo doesn't necessarily fill me with confidence they were making great music back then. I know with those two they were trying to recreate their 90s sound, but it just came across as bland and generic. Headlines could be great if it brought in a bit of a new sound for them: It was a bit more rocky like the live version, their sound but brought to a new soundscape to showcase growth... Mel C's verse was like a post-second chorus bridge Mel B was given a solo Victoria didn't take the lead in the chorus (she straight up sings most of the second chorus herself lol)... she doesnt sound great at all and we know it was given to her because she was the biggest star at the time. The lyrics werent so lovey-dovey (so not them!)
  20. Headlines will always be a flop... and sadly, it scared the shit out of them forever
  21. I understand what you are saying and specially if it is a Netflix documentary, I am not expecting much at all beyond what has already been said/done. The Take That documentary falls into that trap - so I hope they learn from it. I don't know... Geri seems like love to talk about how she wrote this and that bit of Stop or Too Much. Melanie has often spoken about how they were quite democratic in how they distributed the vocals and what they were best at, even talking a bit about how they wrote 2 Become 1 and Wannabe. I strongly belive that the way to get Geri involved in a reunion is about the music. She struggles with touring but she craves fame and her ego being fed, and she loved talking. So suggest to her that they should discuss the music this time. Or even better, entice Geri with a studio session for new music. That would make everyone happy (apart from the uglies on Spice Circle who consistently say they don't want new music lol).

Thanks Jay. Some impressive credits for sure. So far though, it's all been a bit meh... I wish she would push herself more, specially with all these incredible creatives. The production is better since she changed her team during the VOM era and Melanie C album era, but clunky chorus like the WCPGW one, denote not much evolution from her part specifically. The production is there, but the lyrics are lacking as hell...
  23. OMG totally agree. I would love them to discuss the process of making the music, for real. How did they come up with ideas, who wrote what, what the producers did... They are so focused on IMAGE and scandal, and style. They need to focus on the music too. Maybe that will make them fall in love with it again!
  24. If they are clever, and really want to do a documentary that will get people to REALLY sit down and gorge on, they should: Get the 5 of them in the same room. ENOUGH of individual interviews. Its been done over and over and it is boring! The best version of them, that the public loves, is the group TOGETHER vibing from each other. It is what made them special, so use that! A section of it should be similar to An Hour of Girl Power documentary, where they look at footage from their past and react to it. People love that shit and the 5 of them would be so fun to watch doing that! Get them to actually reveal stuff we don't know that went on behind the scenes. Not only the same story all over again... Use footage we havent seen yet! They have lots from the 2019 tour behind the scenes and promo campaign. Address that tour properly as well, not just the highs but also the lows and behind the scenes drama. Why did they end up cancelling everything after the initial run of shows? Otherwise I am not sure many will care much about this documentary...
  25. Drama??? In Spice Circle?? from Mel C fans'???!!!! I'm SHOCKED
