Checking on the Wannabe HMV page, I ventured into the Spice Girls section and wow quite a few items have gone back on sale same as the official website. It seems like they reprinted quite a lot of items that were not in print/sold out before. So I went on a bit of a deepdive since I am procastinating at work today lol Spice standard black vinyl Spice standard CD (this had been out of print for a few years) Spiceworld standard black vinyl (was out of print ahead of the Spiceworld25 releases) Spiceworld25 cassettes Wannabe25 - it was sold out on HMV for a while, although some copies were still available on their online store. Greatest Hits CD - it is finally availabe on their webstore for the first time! Previously only the vinyl was available there and the CD could only be found on HMV and independent shops. So it seems like Universal has invested a bit of cash in re-printing a few items as well as the new website design. I hope they eventually do re-print the Spiceworld standard CD, it is a crime it hasnt been on print for so long. I am not sure what this means for the Spice30 anniversary. So many versions wildly available of both that album and the Greatest Hits, it seems to indicate that we should not be expecting any re-release of either this autumn ☹️ SOLO-WISE, I think it is curious: The previously sold out Emma's My Happy Place's CD is back in stock, alongside the Delux and Vinyl. We know BMG re-printed it and also re-released the vinyl before, so this is nice to see. Them trickle down sales hopefully stack up! Last we heard the album was on 13,5k copies in the UK and 28k worldwide, back in 2020! So hopefully it has gone up a bit more since. If we look on Discogs, it seems like the standard CD version has been re-printed 4x in Europe and twice in Brazil. Mel C's Melanie C album is also available on both CD and Delux CD. No Vinyl though. The Delux CD has also been reprinted in the UK/Europe, so that's probably why it is still available here. Curiously, Mel B's own LA State of Mind CD is also on sale on HMV. This is quite wild for the 1963 copies selling album... maybe there's plenty of stock left that HMV wants rid of?...

No, I definitely think they might be fake. Unless proven otherwise, I think it would be safe to assume based on the fact that the seller is simply giving not much information on how they got it (a collector's storage unit sure but a collector is not a reliable source since it could be fan-made stuff that collectors also often purchase/gather), the songs content (just the titles the seller themselves given them) and also the randomness and tag price (people don't even buy the real Spice promos that go for like €500 anymore lol why would they buy £2000-2500 random CDrs with no proof?)... I believe more in the Mel B ones, for sure. The Teddy Rilley one is the one that looks the more 'real' to me. About the I Turn To You (remix), it is possible that this was supposed to be a single in the early stages of the album production and that some money was invested in a remix, or it could be an alternative mix. HOWEVER, we don't know anything about this based on the sellers' description. They don't say if it is a different mix from the Hex Hector or album track mixing, or even the StoneBridge mix. They simply call it a remix and don't say anything else... So I honestly don't know... We should ask the seller to provide some clips or more information. I am sure with some proof, a few fans would gather money to purchase them if they were deemed to be real.

I think it is funny how Mel B and Geri are constantly going viral over the last few weeks on Twitter/X about their potential lesbianism. It's become a thing and I can only imagine it pisses Gerita off lol Mostly, it is all fun and positive. I would even say it is helping to bring the group to younger people as these comments and tweets have mostly been from Gen X and younger people lol

Ah damn, I had no idea about most of this. The ACR rules in the UK are quite wild, I never quite understood them. If Wannabe25 didn't chart I highly doubt this tiny vinyl will, in this scenario then. Also, yes I am with you on the tiny vinyl. I only bought it because it is a novelty and I had never heard of the format but yes it does seem gimmicky and if the quality isn't up to par then I will disregard future ones, specially for this price. I don't know why they didn't just do a 7" then. They could have justified it a bit better for long-term sales like Wannabe25 (which still sells and has been in continuous re-print since 2021!)... Lets see how this fairs...

So this has sold out in the UK at least, both versions. Do we know if this was a very limited release? and if not, do we think we might see a return to the charts? How much would it need to sell to get top200?

Flick of the Wrist. With time, I havr grown to like it more and also it is the more interesting track overall, production and story/lyrics wise. She could do well in leaning more in this direction. It's cool, snappy and fun. Should have been a single instead of the monstrosity that is Attitude and Undefeated Champion. Drum Machine is good, probably her best single since Who I Am. Probably even better than Who I Am, but just like that song, I have grown out of it already. So overall, Flick!

It's pretty wild that they keep saying 23million when that figure has been on 30/31million for a while and Spiceworld on 17million for a while too. Why not use that since you are inflating the general sales as well? lol...

The 100million figure is particularly wild since in the album sections they still have Spice on 23million and Spiceworld on 14million LOL...

So their new revamped website is out, and it is much better than the previous one! More modern and simple, I believe. One thing I like about this is how the About page goes into more detail about their cultural impact, not just how many #1s they had. It's a new narrative, and a much better one to bang about. They also are very honest about the Forever era, as honest as they can be without straightout saying 'we flopped lol'. New sales figure though: 100million records 😅 That's an official amount from their website, so get used to people using it lol I would like to know where these figures keep growing at such a fast pace over the years when the reality of sales updates here and there don't necessarily indicate such high numbers but HEY what do we know lol... https://thespicegirls.com/about/
