Spice Girls • General Discussion
If anyone is interested or looking for some of the Spice25 releases that sold out on their website/HMV/Amazon (such as the individual vinyls, the Wannabe cassette, etc), you can find them all still available on the Bravado website, some of them are on discount as well: https://www.bravado.de/p24/index.html?SID=t...ing=Spice+Girls It is on the European website, so it might be cheaper for shipping expenses to the UK too than from the USA.

Throwback! Anniversaries of Spice Girls moments
This. Victoria owns the masters of her Telstar and 19 Records era, and thus she has the power to stop any inclusion of the songs on any medium. It is known that it is her who is stopping them for going on streaming/sale. Hell, it has even been stated by an ex-EMI employee that she tried to buy the masters from her Virgin records too in 2018/2019 to remove them from streaming as well. I think she would like the whole solo-Popstar career to be removed from existance, sadly... So even if some folk would like to have it on streaming or attached to an add or movie, Victoria would probably block it. For all we know, she might be the reason we haven't had any more unreleased tracks from the Spice Girls. Mel C certainly seemed to hint at it during the demos discussions around Spiceworld25... She would need to have a pretty big change of heart for that to happen. Maybe if one of her tracks goes viral on TikTok or whatever, it might bring some positive light to her music and she might reconsider, but she is in a very different position from any of the other girls. They are all still interested in music somehow, and would probably jump at one of their songs going viral/being included in movies. Not Victoria though... It's sad but that's where we are at with her... I just hope she would let go of that fear specially in relation to the Spice Girls recordings.

Melanie C • Sporty's Fifty
Guess the Spice fans are old now lol :P It's a CLUB venue, a pretty important and 'cool' one at that, that also hosts gigs. But yes clearly she went for 'cool' when she could have gone a bit bigger, though in a normal venue she wouldnt have been able to do the after party and DJs into 3am, just her gig. She wanted a party not just a normal gig, clearly. It's her birthday at the end of the day

British Music Experience - Spice Girls Exhibition
It's sad that it is not an official exhibition in partnership with the girls, but hope it is successful

British Music Experience - Spice Girls Exhibition
To be fair, the PR does state that there is more to it, including specific sections related to their music where you can have a more immersive experience. But yes, would be good to know more. The PR does point towards more information in a proper announcement being shared soon, so hopefully more details will come through. I would thkn that a prestigious place such as the BME would do a proper new exhibition though... Hopefully it is that and Liz's stuff is included s well, rather than it being the focus point.

British Music Experience - Spice Girls Exhibition
My main question on this at the moment is if it is a Spice-backed project at all, done in partnership with the group's team? At the moment it reads like it is just Liz' exhibition with some added sound-based features, which is somewhat underwhelming... Plus the girls' social media has yet to say anything. But yeah, I will be in the UK in Spring and will definitely go too. Plus, never been to Liverpool so it should be fun

Greatest Hits is on #98 on iTunes UK charts Probably a result of Royal Mail and British Exhibition marketing?

British Music Experience - Spice Girls Exhibition
From the British Music Experience announcement Zigazig ah! We're so excited to announce that our next temporary exhibition will be celebrating 30 years of the most important girl band in British history - the Spice Girls. In March 1994 an ad was placed in The Stage asking "Are you street smart, extrovert, ambitious, and able to sing and dance?". The rest is history. The Spice Girls debut single Wannabe topped the charts in 31 countries in 1996, they sold 80 million records and had nine UK Number One singles. The exhibition celebrates the story of how Sporty (Happy 50th birthday today Mel C!), Baby, Scary, Ginger and Posh became one of the most successful girl groups ever and enjoyed phenomenal global success. Girl Power! Spice Girls at 30 will run from 7 February to 8 September and will tell the band’s story through outfits from the extraordinary collection of independent curator Liz West, who is the foremost collector of Spice Girls memorabilia and merchandise in the World. Liz’s Guinness World Record breaking collection boasts many iconic costumes all beautifully hand-made by international designers or specially commissioned by the Spice Girls themselves. Stay tuned for more information on our launch event tomorrow ⭐️ Link: https://www.britishmusicexperience.com/spic...gjdse74Vg1JrPR8

This! They have to understand this. Their physical presence is necessary for projects to do well. People are excited by them, not 'versions' of them. It's one thing to do merch, but holograms is just taking the piss
-
Geri and Emma in my retrospective chart
And Maybe should be number one for at least 52 weeks straight, with a futher 100 in the Top10

Spice Girls • General Discussion
Some fans are suggesting they hope for a hologram show and I want to SCREAM :nono: That would be the most pointless shite ever, worst than the hideous merch we get thrown every other month. They are all perfectly capable of doing a show today. Go on tour, or do a one-off show with the REAL GIRLS. I will never pay for or support what is essentially a screening of a made up performance. Miss me with that shite.

Honestly, Ive had hopes of a tour before since the Mels and Emma seemed to hint at one but I dont think Gerita is ready at all... there's just no rumours going about it either at the moment. Hopefully she comes around to it but damn, Im not sure. I'd love to be surprised though. An expanded Greatest Hits and/or a Rarerities release would be amazing for sure. I'd also love LOVE a proper Live Album release though.

Interesting... She said a few interesting things we haven't heard before... Saying 'the gift that keeps on giving' sounds like the 'expect the unexpected' from back in 2007 reunion :o And 'the fans will be 100% satisfied' is also quite a hint at something that we've been asking for for a while, but I feels very Mel B in the way that it does seem to alude to something we want but probably will never get (new music, or a tour lol) Honestly I hope it is not just the documentary. <_<

Noiiiice :cheer: They are so iconic!! Imagine what a new tour announcement will do in the press :w00t:
-
Emma Bunton - 'Free Me'
White would be nice, though I think they will go for the pink which I will certainly not complain about either :yahoo: Also I hope it does get released on international streaming/buying platforms too, damn. Let's go Bunton :cheer:

Bring on February!! :yahoo:

Royal Mail Special Stamps and collectibles
Yeah this is very clearly an attempt to hide the 'four piece 1 and 2' as no group shot of only 4 ever turns up. It's sad because the two 4-piece line ups marked very specific and successful times as well. Like, they have never done a tour as successful as the 2019 one, a full Stadium tour! At least ONE picture from that would have made sense to include. NONETHELESS, I gotta tell everyone that I bought a the Presentation pack :yahoo: First piece of merch in a long time and it had to be an iconic one
-
Royal Mail Special Stamps and collectibles
From what people are saying, the Presentation Packs have the full sets of stamps, so definitely get that! I might even get that too lol Also, this is like everywhere... Ive had so many messages from friends and family and everytime I log on I see a newstory about it... every outlet is going wild for it. It's a good partnership, I think!

Royal Mail Special Stamps and collectibles
Well.. isnt this interesting and iconic? I actually think this might be one of the best pieces of merch and solidifies them as cultural icons, actually! Good for them. Also, some nice interesting things in the press releases and in the actual stamp presentation sets: it is now officially stated that they have sold 100million records globally. :teresa: Plus, they have provided a group quote too (see below) which is the first time the group has said anything in ages lol I think the last time was for the Lego toys. From the Daily Mirror: Spice Girl first class stamps released by Post Office to mark 30-year anniversary It's the first time Royal Mail has dedicated a stamp issue to a female pop group - with 15 stamps being released to celebrate Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Mel B, Melanie C, and Victoria Beckham's success Yo, I’ll tell you what I want, what I really, really want... it’s a first class stamp with a Spice Girl on it, please. That’s what Post Office staff across the land will be hearing after Royal Mail released a collection of 15 stamps to mark the Spice Girls’ 30th anniversary in 2024. It is the first time Royal Mail has dedicated a stamp issue to a female pop group. And they are only the sixth music group to feature in a dedicated issue, following The Beatles in 2007, Pink Floyd in 2016, Queen in 2020, The Rolling Stones in 2022 and Iron Maiden in 2023. With more than 100 million global record sales across three decades, and nine UK No1 singles, Emma Bunton, 47, Geri Halliwell, 51, Mel B, 48, Melanie C, 49, and Victoria Beckham, 49 – aka Baby, Ginger, Scary, Sporty and Posh – are one of the most successful UK bands in music history. Their string of hits include Wannabe, Stop, Mama and Too Much. The main set of 10 stamps features images of the group and individual live performances from 1997 to 2012, including the 1997 BRITs and 2012 Olympics. Completing the set are a further five stamps, in a miniature sheet, from the Spice World photoshoot. The stamps are available to pre-order from today. The group said: “When we formed the Spice Girls we couldn’t have dreamt that 30 years later we would be the first female group to be dedicated an entire stamp collection, that’s Girl Power!” David Gold, of Royal Mail, said: “We are proud to celebrate the most successful female music group ever seen.”

Spice Girls - Chart Runs & Sales Thread: UK
I will join in, we can make it a foursome, and steal the demo tapes from 1997 that include Spiceworld-demos (as Biff mentioned existed!!)
