  1. Really? Officially or a fan-made one from those Plastic Records editions (like that Girls Aloud singer's solo album thing a couple of years ago lol)?? I really really hope one is forthcoming!! :cheer:
  2. Wouldnt be the first time, since they partnered with Tony Blair's government back in 1997 to push the Cool Britannia focus of his campaigns across the world, and have consistently worked with the royals over the years both as a group and as individuals. There is also a big Exhibition of Spice Girls music in Liverpool happening soon (I think February) as part of the British Music Experience, which is a massive thing for any artist in the country. But I think this time it is only a matter of their licensing and management teams working with specific institutions to include them or their branding. Plus, the Post Office is a private entity not Government (thanks to David Cameron, that disgusting man!)
  3. Next month, 9th February, it will mark the 20th anniversary of one of the best albums of all time :w00t: :cheer: We know the likelyhood is that nothing other than an instagram post will be done by Baby Bunton and her team, but we CAN still dream right?? What would be the best case scenario for you? What would you like to see happening to mark the occasion? :funky: Here is what I would LOVE: 1. Vinyl standard release with Pink cover (limited to 2000 copies) 2. Cassette pink cover release (limited to 2000 copies) 3. CD re-release with Pink cover including bonus CD (Living It Easy, Eso Beso, Maybe latino mix, 1x Unreleased Track/demo) Of course, I would love it if she also did a couple of gigs to celebrate it, maybe a one-off gig to mark the occasion in London, maybe at the Scala.
  4. I'd love updates on: Greatest Hits Forever Goodbye Holler Free Me Life in Mono Yes, I want to be depressed about the lack of TASTE from the British public thank you -_-
  5. If the group is indeed returning this year, I guess an approach to the editor could be done to entice a new article with information. But I doubt he will publish brand new figures for everything we want
  6. Thank you Jay
  7. This is very true, it is massive! And rightly so. I just wish there was just as much focus on some of the other singles as well. For artists of their caliber and success, they really should be better streamed overall. Destiny's Child, Britney, Oasis, Madonna all have multiple songs much better streamed than they do. It really sucks and I hope they get to turn that around with proper focus on their catalogue one day!
  8. Unfortunately I can see why to be honest... Not just Ladbaby crap, but for like 10years in a row it was mainly cheap and awful X-Factor winners singles which got to #1  The specialness of the Christmas #1 battle has decreased since then as it started to revolve all around a TV show rather than the music and the season itself. Not that it was ever about the quality of the music, mind you, but genuinely seemed like there was more ballance before. The girls should absolutely release an EP with Christmas mixes of their Xmas #1 songs, which would then bring them back to the conversation and improve their placing in playlists, imo!
  9. Pretty great thank you Spice Girls Net!! :cheer: They would be smart to update the certifications next year around the documentary!
  10. YAY :cheer: Thank you SGN!!
  11. Thank you Jay, amazing work and good to see it all layed down in such a clear way! A few things to note: The record lable should really capitalise more on Spice Up Your Life and Christmas Wrapping seemingly as both have done well these past couple of years. SUYL should have gotten the same treatment as Wannabe for its 25th anniversary, really. With a proper re-release and more widely publicised. It's a classic on part of Stop, 2 Become 1 and Say You'll Be There and should be shinning as one of their crowing glories Christmas Wrapping did well again. If they play their cards right, it could be a continuous staple on the season, and a cute lyric video could do wonders for it too. But they need to capitalise more on it, making sure it is used in media, films, and defnitely more playlisting etc. Holler and Goodbye really are done dirty. Both songs deserve much better and more of a push and I hope that 2025 brings a new focus to both of those songs, specially if the group are doing something next year as well. They do well on streaming overall, at least on Spotify, for an inactive group that hasnt really released anything new for 20 years. I would gather than similar numbers are seen on Apple Music too and with the other platforms too, it seems like the girls themselves could get a couple of million pounds a year just from streaming and on-going sales, licensing to movies (Barbie probably paid them a bit as well!), adverts (althogh there hasnt been one in ages!), etc.
  12. Bring it on bitch!! :yahoo:
  13. Incredible numbers, thank you Spice Girls Net :w00t:
  14. Oh really? I missed that entirely :teresa: It does need to get added to some big playlists though! Those Throwback playlists always do well to boost numbers, and it could do well there!
  15. Happy New Spicy Year BuzzJack girlies  Really hope they do something this year around the documentary release. A world tour seems ideal but I somewhat doubt it will be a massive one, unless Gerita ditches her books and Mel C scraps her album... Im glad Spice Up Your Life is getting around, at least in 'media' terms. It is not translating into massive streams though, sadly apart from when itw as included in that Barbie soundtrack... I wish it would stream much more, specially as it has been featured in such massive things like Doctor Who which was a bit viral a couple of weeks ago. Personaly I feel it should be more of a New Years Playlist staple than Wannabe ah... But then again, I think that about most of their uptempo singles LOL
  16. According to PopCrave on Twitter/X, Wannabe has passed the 1Billion streams on Spotify :cheer: https://x.com/PopCrave/status/1741104594195726364?s=20
  17. That statement was an exageration, of course they do get it - as explained in the posts before that. But as singers they get quite little in terms of royalties - it is in the writing that you get the most royalties, and they are not credited as writers.
  18. Yeah it is quite odd isn't it? I would imagine they did all a bit, but then for credits clearance, they didnt bother much with adding their own credits. It was, at the time, only a b-side that probably would be forgotten forever more after its inclusion in one CD of Goodbye. Had they imagined it would take off on streaming (the concept of it didnt even exist at the time lol) they definitely would have added it lol It is probably why none of them even bother to mention it. They get no money from it's success lol
  19. Two cute songs but I gotta be honest - they are quite of their time. Just listened to This Groove and honestly I'm not bothered to listen to it again  Vicky's solo album was better!
  20. I believe that up until Geri left, they used to split everything equally but after that, they started to get individually paid according to their input on any given song/album as most artists do. I remember reading somewhere that this was due to if they were still credited as 'Spice Girls' in the writing credits (as they were in the original albums), rather than individually, Geri would still get royalties for sales of songs/albums she wasnt a part of, hence the individual accreditation after she left. When it comes to singer-royalties, that's a different thing as the publishing works differently there. So I would imagine that the group gets royalties from that song and then gets distributed equality between all. They don't have writing credits on that song though, so they wont get any from it. All in all, they are probably each seeing like £100 per year each from the song's streams across streaming platforms, radio play and the odd sale here and there. If they were credited as writers too, Emma and Mel C would be getting a bit more.
  21. Exactly. Often in groups this happens, even in boybands and it is more about the song itself than the group. Anyway, it is very much a Spice song and the record label should do a lyric video for it at least! It doesnt even need to mention that it is only Emma and Mel C
  22. Christmas Wrapping will probably end up with 11million by the end of the year right? Or is it done now that Christmas is over over? Quite amazing that they have a little Christmas hit in their hands. They would be clever to capitalise on it next year properly with at least a lyric video or some acknowlegement of the song online. Hell, Universal should be aiming for it to be placed in Christmas playlists every year, and for it to be included in Christmas CD compilations. It did like 4million streams on Spotify this year right? And it plays on Radio2 all the time. Thats pretty good! They could really tap into that market
  23. Cute  Though it is sad that it is only their second non-single to reach such a milestone though, other than Never Give Up On The Good Times (dserved!)
  24. Yeah, but if the girls had done a Goodbye25 campaign, we probably would have seen one
  25. JUSTICE!!! Goodbye should be in their Top5 at all times and be well over 1billion streams, and Mama relegated to the Top 30 :teresa:
