Yeah I agree about the Christmas Medley. As much as I dispise Christmas music (and that god awful Emma Christmas tour lol), they were crazy not to release a Christmas song in 1999 to make up for the lack of a proper single and album that year, specially when they were going on a Christmas tour anyway... And one of those songs or even a medley of them would have done wonders at the time - and probably become a season classic... I can see in the next few weeks we might get a HQ version of that performance released on streaming just like the Goodbye performance. I certainly hope so!

They talk about a potential reunion or stories related to the SPice Girls because it is what the press and the social media apps will boost/highlight, in the hope that it brings also awareness to their solo project. Mel C recently said on a red carpet that Victoria is 'itching' to get back on stage and looked smartly at the camera. This is so clearly a line to get that clip to go viral AGAIN... urgh... Victoria's documentary, for all its' attempt to establish her as a serious fashion designer, saw the promotion of it very much centered around her being a Spice Girl. She herself also did that too with that interview...

Victoria was definitely the originally driving force, together with Emma and Geri... There are pictures of the three of them from late 2006/early 2007 where they met up to discuss opportunities. It was in fact also her with Simon I think who came up with the idea as they wanted to gather more money/profile raising opportunities for her so she could establish her name and brand. The whole 'I was only in Spice for a bit' shtick that has been doing since launching herself as a fashion designer is embarrassing and outright lying. 'They used to turn my mic off', 'I was never Celine Dion', ' I was only in Spice Girls for 2 years/4 years'... straight up pissed me off... 1994 - 2000 is 6 years + 3years of solo work + two reunions... She was in the biggest group of the 90s, the biggest girlband in the world, and she always put her participation down when we know she was instrumental everytime... yet everytime she reunited with the girls was to increase her profile or make more money for a bit before heading off again... I get it, two of the others do the same - Geri and Mel C - but with Victoria its always been a bit stupid as it is obviously lies to protect her fashion brand.

To celebrate the release of Forever25, they have just uploaded in 4K quality the live performance of Goodbye at Earl's Court to YouTube... Easily could have been part of a 2CD for Forever25...

Christmas Wrapping and Sleigh Ride seem like they have been remastered, they sound a bit fuller now!

the SHADE from your mum But in all seriousness, I remember being so excited for new music from them and to listen to what they had come up with... I've always loved the album! It wasnt an instant favourite like the previous two but Ive grown to listen more to it than Spice or Spiceworld actually. I listen to it often and it sounds gorgeous on vinyl. I would have loved for them to really campaign for it with more promo and singles and always imagined a club-night disco type of video for If You Wanna Have Some Fun and a continuation of the 4-elements theme with Oxygen for instance... But what I would have done was have them more 'together' in the videos. I think the individual sections in Holler are iconic - at least Vics and Emmas- but I wish they had more scenes together as a unit. So I would have loved them to correct that for the following singles. And I can't quite imagine a tour would be mainly in black and red colours like the EMA's performance. I think they would have gone more colourful there. If they were really to stick to the 4-elements coming up together, they could do a tour set list that would encompasse this theme, Act 1 - Earth, Act 2 - Water, Act 3 - Fire, Act 4 - Wind, Act 5 - The four elements coming together to create Friendship/Togetherness Would have been incredible!

It trully pisses me off that they mainly use the Geri version... it was the same with the Spice25 releases and the Dolbi Atmos... It's careless specially as they had changed it for a more inclusive line..

Damn... the single versions are so much better... But I guess the album versions have amassed more streams over the years which is probably why they have included those instead... I shall be downloading the EP though, when it becomes available to download. And hopefully this will increase their Christmas visibility more on streaming platforms, and one day (LOL) they will do a vinyl/CD release of it

Happy birthday to Forever 🖤 However maligned by the press and the fandom in general (and the industry at the time), it remains one of their best albums in my opinion. Songs like Holler, Tell Me Why, Wasting My Time, Let Love Lead The Way, If You Wanna Have Some Fun, Oxygen and Goodbye all in one album? All gorgeous, perfect songs. Even songs like Get Down With Me and Right Back At Ya could have been singles, with the right single-mix treatment done to them. What are your favourites of this album? And what are your least favourites? Which songs would you wish had been singles? And what type of video would you have given it? Anyway, make sure to stream/download it today and buy the new vinyl 😜

Agree with the sentiments here. I will buy it/download it/stream it but yeah they could be a bit more inventive I guess... It does make sense to release it as part of the Forever25 'era' as it includes Goodbye which was a Christmas #1 and technically from that album as well... Just wish it would be more interesting than it clearly is. I do hope it does well for their Christmas classics in the end. 2 Become 1, Too Much and Goodbye always get a bit of a boost around this time and Christmas Wrapping as well, so fair play to them for finally putting them together. A vinyl would be a cute Christmas present, thats for sure!
