Gerita on her latest TikTok: "Dropped the mic and picked up a pen " "I am a new Young Adult author but I once was..." Funny... it reads like a 'i am no longer a Spice girl but I will use it for promo of my mediocre book that was ghost written anyway' and it definitely reads like she is done with the group. Thoughts? Yeah, there were a lot of problems with Song for Her but the lyrics being cringe was definitely a sour point

Spice Girls - 'Forever'
Apart from Emma and Mel C, none of them acknowleged's Spiceworld25's existence and it seemed to align with reports that the plans that were on-going for the 'months of celebrations' that Mel C mentioned has been all scrapped and the girls were unhappy with how Spiceworld25 was coming up... As far as we know, in the beginning of the year they had plans to also release Spiceworld The Movie 25th Anniversary celebrations and announce a tour, but by the time summer arrived, it was all gone... Geri was actually one of the ONLY ones who even mentioned and support Forever's vinyl on instagram when it was released back in 2019 lol Also lets not pretend any of them will do any promo for eras outside of a tour... they simply barely lifted a finger for any promo of Spice25 (Mel C was the only one actively promoting) and certainly barely any for Spicworld25, so don't expect much from Forever25 in terms of promo... I really really want them to understand that Forever is the one that fans are more curious about when it comes to 'new' content and this is the only way to get the campaign to be successful. If it is a lame campaign a la Spiceworld25, they will flop (and blame it on anyone else but themselves lol)

Spice Girls - 'Forever'
If we are going by the standards of Spice and Spiceworld, Forever25 CD2 will be only WOMAN as a unreleased track, and then one of the Holler remixes, plus one of the Tell Me Why remixes, plus Holler, Goodbye and and Let Love Lead The Way (Live 2019)...

Spice Girls - 'Forever'
To be honest, they weren't the only ones to do this, a lot of artists did that and it certainly wasn't exclusive to 2000, they did it throughout the 90s.

Honestly people are nuts for Christmas and new years... Ive seen advertisement already for both here in Portugal  Capitalism is truly a sickness

Spice Girls - 'Forever'
Pretty sure Ive seen them in the same clothes here together, but I could be wrong. Still, same place and the interviews where the generic ones that were recorded to send to the press (so that the press can slot in their own interviewers asking the questions later). Similar thing that they had done before with the Spiceworld interview disk that would be sent to radios the world over to pretend they were giving 'interviews' to the radio stations, only this one was a video one. It is extracted from here, a video tape of these interviews made by Virgin Records and produced by Sally Stratton to send to press: Eo0XDV3cIy4

e3ZGuc2wv2g I will never understand the Forever interviews being split into 2-girls each... Never. What a stupid ass decision that pretty much helped ending the project on a sour note. One thing is when they were in separate countries promoting (even if that was already a shite approach). But here the four of them were clearly in the same f***ing building on the same f***ing day  I know they werent doing much promo, but the promo they did was so disjointed from WITHIN the group itself... it's wild. What stupid approach

Spice Girls - 'Forever'
Im not quite sure on the If Ya Do take to be honest, though I guess we will never know?... If Ya Do and If You Wanna Have Some Fun are different titles that have different propositions on their intentions... About Janet - yeah this feels like just a rumour, a fan made rumour, though it would have been amazing!

Playlisting and radio play? Personally I think No Scrubs is ok but the message of the song is bloody terrible lol I'm happy Wannabe is at least a positive anthem!

Spice Girls • All Released Songs, Rarities and Demos Lists
Adding here a song called Walk The Same Line as it was rumoured to be recorded in 1997 as stated in this website: http://spicechronology.atspace.com/spice.html On the same website, there are mentions of two other songs: Exposé and Inside Out from the Spice era. Has anyone heard of these before? Also adding a rumoured Janet Jackson feature to If Ya Do, and we now have some info on how this song might have been part of the first Jimmy Jam + Terry Lewis sessions in Autum 1998 as well following comments by the producers. That same website has also the following as Touch/early Spice tracks, which I never heard of: -All We Need Is A Miracle -Hard To Kill -In Your Face also rumored to be unreleased 'Spice' track Does anyone know where the rumour comes from or has any other info on either of these?
-
Spice Girls - 'Forever'
Thank you! Yeah I remember If Ya Do being mentioned by the girls, but never where it came from and certainly do not know about the Janet Jackson rumour.. It is funny cos it is from around the same time they were doing Girlfriend/Boyfriend with Blackstreet, which Janet then jumped on. This song was also produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, so it all makes sense since we know Emma and Mel C had some sessions with J+T in Autumn 1998! HHHMMMMMM.... the plot thickens!

Spice Girls - 'Forever'
Yeah she often said the 'beautiful ballads' thing about Forever, which is probably why I was surprised that she picked Tell Me Why as her favourite at the time, it was jarring finding that out yesterday to be honest :teresa: I also dont recall her saying anything ever about If You Wanna Have Some Fun, only Emma mentioning it a few times as her favourite.
-
Spice Girls - 'Forever'
That's right! I forgot to add that. At the time, even MTV mentioned that title and that tehy would be releasing the album in Summer 1999. But I never heard of a set date  To be honest, I wouldnt be surprised if the press was just making shit up... I don't believe the Great Divide would have been a Spice Girls title, at all...
-
Spice Girls - 'Forever'
Was that ever known as a Jimmy and Terry track?
-
Spice Girls - 'Forever'
LOL I mean, fair dues... All of these do have old expired links to the source so whilst they *did* provide a source at the time we cant really access it so who knows if they were true at all but yeah some of it like the lost video and the 1999 June 1st date sound really outlandish... I DO want to believe in the third Jimmy + Terry song though. I will just believe it and take that with me :P

Spice Girls - 'Forever'
OK some other tid bits I found interesting but never had heard before: A Spice video was shot in Spring 2000???? :o Mel C says to TOTP Magazine in May 2000: "We've also just finished the third Spice Girls album and shot the next video. The album should be out in maybe October or November." IMAGINE!!! I doubt this is true... we would have known, right? lol... Apparently Forever was set to release June 1st 1999 :o while early in the year Mel C even saying, on the occasion of being challenged about a potential delay to February 2000 that the album was finished :o :o :o The LA Frontier(newspaper) caught up with Mel C in LA as she is there recording and asked her about the reports. Melanie is quoted as saying: "Our album IS coming out June 1st. Don't listen to the media! And what's with this "a close friend" business? We've already finished most of the record. As soon as Melanie and Victoria have their babies and loose a few kilos we'll put the finishing touches on it. So maybe this is where the 5 tracks they did with Biff in Autumn/Winter 1998 came into, potentially with some solo tracks and covers added? Wild that Mel C said that, I had never heard of a set date for 1999, I always thought they hadnt recorded any more, certainly not enough for a full album... Wasnt that also aorund the time Phoenix and Brooklyn were born too? :???: Mel B states that there would now be a Christmas single and the album would come out late 1999, certainly with the Christmas tour making sense for that plan... Around March 1999, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis stated they had recorded a song with Baby and Sporty and it turned down really well. This would have been before the known recording dates! Would this be a THIRD track with them at least? Cos I was always under the impression that Jimmy and Terry had attended the shows in 1998 then agreed to work together and then they all recorded together Oxygen and IYWHSF, and it was only ever those two songs?... This would make sense remembering that Baby and Sporty also went to America following the sessions with Biff and Matt after the Spiceworld tour in Autumn 1998... hhhhmmmm :arrr: :arrr: Maybe they hang out and this song came out of those studio sessions?... There's potentially a lot of demos from Autumn 1998 into Spring 1999 that we might not know much about at all and it is starting to make sense :P We need Forever25 to bring THE VAULTS OUT :w00t: :cheer:

Spice World 2019 Tour • Discussion Thread
Was just thinking that they had Spice Up Your Life as the opener for their last 3 tours (Christmas 99, Return 2007-2008 and SW19) and Wannabe for 2 of those as well. Hell, Spice Up Your Life also closed the Return tour and a remix played after Wannabe at the 2019 tour, effectively meaning thats technically the last song as well :o So I was thinking... If they were to tour again ( :P ) what other song would you get them to open and close with, if you could choose? Personally, I would LOVE to see them do a banger of a mix of Never Give Up On The Good Times for the opening number! I think that could be a really great slapsh of an openner to get the party started with a banger, then have Who Do You Think You Are a bit later on during a disco number. And I would close it with Viva Forever  For me, this would be the perfect way to end their last ever tour, with a gorgeous, big ass rendition of VF in all it's glory, remining everyone just how good they are and that they are everlasting
