KPOPPED Vol 1 EP is now available for purchase which includes Wannabe by Emma, Mel B and ITZY Quite strange to have them labelled as Spice Girls in the show but here it is credited as the two girls. I would also imagine that the Vol 2 EP will include the Say You'll Be There take. Spice Girls - 'Forever'
If nothing happens for real, I honestly hope the Forever unreleased tracks that fans have do leak... The last couple of times we had leaks were due to fans being f***ed off that they don't do anything: C U Next Tuesday was leaked as a consequence of no unreleased tracks on Spiceworld25 Sugar & Spice and Melody of Life (and the VB and MC tracks that leaked) were also a consequence of fans online saying 'f*** them if they don't release/do anything with these tracks, so here they are' So yeah, f*** them if they don't release anything for Forever. Let the tracks all leak!

Spice Girls - 'Forever'
is the person really in the know?... I would be so annoyed if they don't do anything... a new vinyl would have been the very least specially since the 20th anniversary edition sold well in the end (it's like sold out everywhere!)

Strangely the Say You'll Be There performance made me think they could have done SYBT after Holler in the 2019 tour, with those harder suits/costumes. It would have extended that act and take advantage of the vibe which was so differnt from the rest of the show.

Emma and Mel B haven taken part in a South Korean TV show called KPOPED where they have partnered with KPop band ITZY to rework two Spice Girls classics with a Kpop twist: Wannabe and Say You'll Be There. The episode with them is now live on Apple TV, but you can watch the two performances below. There's a link somewhere out there for the full episode but I cant find it... Both songs sound great and will be released on streaming platforms this coming friday 5th September. Will you be buying it??? Don't know if these still classify as 'Spice Girls official releases' or if it will be credited as Emma and Mel B on streaming platforms, but they are being presented here as 'ITZY and the Spice Girls' so we shall see... Nonetheless, we have a couple of new tracks to download this week ladies, let's get to it! Which one is your favourite of the two? I think I prefer Say You'll Be There for now

Spice Girls - 'Spiceworld'
It was such a idiotic decision to not release that live album and Never Give Up on The Good Times...... They would have been on a new high! Imagine having a brand new live album of the Spice World Stadium tour at Wembley for Christmas 1998! It would have sold so well...

The Spice Girls 'singles that got away'
Also, some of you suggested Love Thing as the final single from Spice but I never really saw it as a single because it sounds like the brainchild between Wannabe and Say You'll Be There... In a way, it was already threaded territory whereas the previous singles all sounded more different from each other. I know it was rumoured to be the prefered single from Virgin but by the time they had released 4 singles, it was a type of sound that was best to keep in the album, imo... I also think that Step To Me is another song that threads similar ground to Wannabe, Say You'll Be There and Love Thing, so in a way it made sense not to have it in the album. Even Say You'll Be There had initially a rap section which I am glad it was removed, as it would have made the whole Spice-sound very formulaic - pop anthems with r'n'b sounds about female empowerment, each girl gets a verse and the bridge is a rap led by Mel B. It would have been too much imo, so I am glad they changed things up a bit. (although I do think it could have been a single or at least an album track for Spiceworld). It is kind of like the Tomorrow of Free Me, for me. It sounds like Maybe and I'll Be There combined. A great album track but threading too similar territory to stand on its own. So it made sense for her to perform it on TV shows to further point towards the album, but as a single, it would have faltered and she needed to change it up...

still... it was controversial for sure lol but not sure it really helped her at the time. she was wise to corse-correct

The Spice Girls 'singles that got away'
Totally agree that Goin Down shouldnt have been a single... I thought it was plain embarrasing lol she might like her rock music but she sounded awful in it, the song itself sounds like a try-hard... If she wanted to do a rock-start, she could have picked the better rock songs: either Ga Ga or Suddenly Monday. Im not sure on Go! actually... it is a great album opener but I don't think it would have been a great single. I think she should have gone with Northern Star as the lead single.

😑 @Jay or @Spiceboy , whichever one of you devil twinks now runs this site, please come and block Last Dreamer for crimes against taste- The Spice Girls 'singles that got away'
THE TRUTH!!! Love me Perfect Strangers and could totally see it being a lovely single actually!- The Spice Girls 'singles that got away'
Yeah I never thought about The Lady is a Vamp as a single either... I find that it's always been a meh song, that works within the album but it is not really needed as a stand alone lol- Spice Girls - 'Spiceworld'
Just came across this and Emma mentions at the Brits 1997 in February that they had already started recording their second album, and have a 'few different tunes' from 9:02 in the video below here. So they had started to work on the album earlier than what has been assumed. The movie filming didn't start till like May, so maybe the 'full album recorded during the movie' might be a bit exhagrated lol- The Spice Girls 'singles that got away'
Melanie C Northern Star - like Jay, I would have loved her to go a bit more left field again and do this remix of Feel The Sun. That would have been so so good, in my opinion. Dance again and experimental! Reason - I don't think 'Reason' would have been a good single. It's a great song but not very radio-friendly at all... maybe with an edit?... I think maybe Yeah Yeah Yeah should have led the campaign and then follow with Positively Somewhere or Let's Love. Beautiful Intentions - Little Piece of Me or Don't Need This would have been great singles imo Version of Me - Probably Loving You Better but I am not sure... Melanie C - Overload would have been good single! Melanie B Hot - Hotter for sure Victoria Beckham VB - Like That and I Wish were the obvious choices! Geri Halliwell Scream - probably Circles Around the Moon Passion - Love Never Loved Me- Spice Girls - 'Forever'
if they don't do a Forever 25 with WOMAN we go out and riot girls!- Spice Girls • General Discussion
I saw it with my own eyes and heard them with my own ears. That was enough...- The Spice Girls 'singles that got away'
What in your opinion, were the true 'singles that got away'? Not really thinking about songs that were rumoured to be singles at the time, but those you would want to? For me: Spice: If You Cant Dance I think this would have been a really great final single for the era, and would have properly closed up the era in 1997, showcasing the more 'darker' side of the album. It is also really cool song and I could see it given them credibility that they were starting to loose by summer 1997! It would have also allowed them to have more space/time before they released Spiceworld. Spiceworld: Never Give Up On The Good Times No doubt, this would have been a perfect single in late summer 1998, to coincide with the tour. It was screaming to be a single and would have cemented them as a 4-piece even more and get the whole ' they are nothing without Geri' behind them as the song as a positive message to go with! Forever: If You Wanna Have Some Fun and Right Back At Ya (pop) Had they launched the era in Spring 2000 with the pop version of Right Back At Ya, I could see it working really well for them and get everyone back on board! Then do Holler/LLLTW for summer and If You Wanna Have Some Fun as an Autumn release. Would have been the perfect run of singles! A Girl Like Me: A World Without You No brainer. This wouldnt have been a Christmas #1 for sure, but it would have sold well and brought more people to the album. Completely wasted potential! Free Me: Breathing I kind of wish she had gone with a Double A-side between Crickets and Breathing. It certainly would have brought another audience to the album. I mean, what a song, what a perfect song! Life in Mono: All That You'll Be As much as I think All I Need To Know was a perfect song, it wasnt a great single by any means. All That You'll Be would have been a much better ballad imo... (I will do more later)...- Spice Girls • General Discussion
Isn't it mostly powered by Asian migrants in the UK and US, which form some of the biggest migrant populations in those countries? Young Adults and Young people don't really buy records, but they will attend shows from 'hip' mainstream artists for sure. It is the same situation in the US: K-pop doesn't sell that much but will take on whole stadium tours easily... All of those things together make them an easy booking for Wembley and other stadiums. The Spice Girls are to this day the only Western girlband that could leverage a whole stadium tour and while that is to be celebrated, it also means that the west doesn't really support their girlbands, which is very sad! I'm not sure Girls Aloud or Sugababes are really 'stadium acts' though... I love both of their music but having seen them both live, I would prefer Sugababes music to be in smaller arenas/theatres because the music is much more intimate. And Girls Aloud SUCKED live, they looked and sounded like they were straight out of doing karaoke at Butlins in Scarborough but with some budget behind them... so I couldnt really see them going the stadium route to be honest... they never even made it outside of the UK... The issue with these girlbands is that they were always very 'local' in their sound and image/attitude/appeal... Spice Girls were truly international both in their music, their appeal and their marketing. The only other UK girlband that came close since were Little Mix but even they were quite 'local' too lets be honest lol- Spice Girls - UK Chart Runs & Sales (Archive)
Hun, what even is a "Think about it" ?- Spice Girls - UK Chart Runs & Sales (Archive)
Thank you Jay Dark times indeed... Maybe and Not Such an Innocent Girl do stream ok for songs that have sadly been 'forgotten' in general... I could see them both being over 100,000 already but who knows... Victoria will never do anything about it, although I do think that Emma - if she still has the record labels and managements that were announced last year behind her - could get Maybe on a few playlists and get it to tickle more sales that way... If she indeed decides to do anything music-related, I could see Maybe getting a few boosts as well... Lets see...- Spice Girls ● Singles: UK Chart Runs & Sales
Gosh that sales update was both exciting and bad lol Poor Headlines and the vast majority of the solo updates - Say You'll Be There, Viva Forever & Holler are the Spice Girls holy trinity, yes?
