Mr.X

I thought so too at first about the video uploads feeing into these, BUT in the case of Free Me and Maybe, there are no official uploads of Free Me and Maybe videos from Emma's channel. It's all fan uploads, which i dont think would count?... I prefered Apple for sure for quality but overall I find it quite expensive to pay for that service and agree that it's not as easy to navigate, which is why I am sticking with YouTubeMusic for now... As far as I know, Spotify is only lossless for Premium paying, which i am not doing (Spotify is funding the development of AI technology in warfare across EU and Middle East, just this year it funded it by the tune of £600million!!!). Plus, Spotify pays the artists some of the least whereas teh others pay better.

Definitely sticking with YouTubeMusic for now! Free Me (the song) has over 1million streams on there, and Life in Mono album streams are much healthier than on Spotify. Plus, even the free version pays the artists better, and the sound is much much better than Spotify.

OK I'm going to wait for the full thing cos that clip is giving generic music and styling... I can hear the Hurts influences though so hopefully the production itself is better on record. Maybe this is her High Heels - a little taster of what is to come but a bit too generic to represent the whole album?...

Thank you for sharing and my condolences to his family and friends ❤️

I'd love an anthology from them, for sure... it's about time they give us a new collection, as the GH is so old now lol But I still would like a Forever25 release, even if it is digital. A fan made a comment that I agree with actually: putting WOMAN on a Forever25 release might be odd as it is such a different sounding song and wouldnt go with the r-n-b flavour of the album, and thus could be seen as desrespecting the producers and the album itself...

I really wanted a 2CD to finish the damn set with the other two...

OK I've just been told that a while ago there was a proposal about a Forever25 project but two of the girls hadnt signed on to it yet... mind you this was a while ago so things could have changed since but the real kicker is that it did not involve music at all either and was something quite small ☹️ Could be bullshit but the person who told me has good connections with their team 🫠 they say that it is hard to get the rights due to the complicated process of making this album, and that there is more focus rn on next year for the 30th anniversary of the group. My guess is a couple of instagram posts and maybe a Holler lyric video and some merch... lower your expectations even more than they were already girlies...

and whose fault would that be?.... all we ask for is music, all we get is bad merch and cheap products that recycle all the music that is out there, with no promo from the girls themselves... if they put any care into it, it will sell..

Actually come to think of it, I wouldnt be surprised if both Victoria and Mel C put a stop to any Forever 25 projects being released at all, specially if it would include any unreleased music... We have been told by in-the-know-fans that it will be something quite small, if anything at all... Victoria is about to release her big Netflix documentary in a couple of weeks and Mel C is about to release her new single as well. I would bet neither of them would want any attention diverted to some unreleased music or the release of WOMAN in particular, which would create a huge buzz in the Spice fandom and generate press or internet hits that would bring attention to it. At this point, I don't think anything will be released other than some instagram posts and probably some merch that no-one will buy...

nothing came today and the socials seem very quiet... I've lost hope of anything at all lol

(probably not lol)

Yeah the live arrangements from Istanbul to the Return tours were incredible and brought the songs to live in a great way. I find the live arrangements really brought up Spice Up Your Life in a way that the song on the CD then always felt a bit flat in comparison for instance. TBH I find teh European leg of the tour quite weird in terms of set list... The inclusion of Walk of Life was too random, same with the covers.... of course, the Mels rocked theirs but Emma's felt really pointless. No Love Thing? That felt like too much of an omission... No Something Kinda Funny?... At least they gave us a great performance of Denying, one of their best songs to this day!

Same.... they have really grinded us down with this lol... It is wild how successful they still are even though they as a group simply do not give a shit...

Totally agree Jay It was so sad that Denden simply vanished... Denis was a real c**t about deleting it all rather than passing it to someone else or at least find a way to archive it publicly or whatever... It's insane and it was straight up mean. Yeah I kind of loathe Spice Circle, because it feels like it brings out the worst in people over there. Here we can have better discussions and yes while it is somehow quieter, it is at least more interesting and safe as a space. Job well done to you and the other mods ❣️

Yeah I have come to realise this will probably be it too, although I would love at least a 2CD set like they did for Spice25 and Spiceworld to finish the set. I'm not fussed at another vinyl as the 20th anniversary vinyl was really well done and sounded gorgeous (better than the design, packaging and production on Spice25 and Spiceworld25!) so I am happy with that release as it is. Some fans 'in the know' said an announcement of 'something small' is coming and pointed towards this coming... I would imagine Monday or Tuesday for an announcement works well. If they do nothing, I think the fans will be very upset lol

The KPOPPED Say You'll Be There version is now available. The production on this, and on Wannabe, is terrible, sorry... Mel B rocks the chorus on this but overall their voices are so muted... I thought at least Wannabe was interesting but this is terrible

It was all over the showbiz news for a while last year I think... take that as you wish but there were a few articles on how she tarnished the Starbucks deal by demanding it to be labelled Geri Latte, as well as that she had put a stop to the Netflix documentary and a drama TV series based on the Spice Girls because she wanted to do her own....

OK at least it doesnt look like she is poking fun at the Spice Girls or her singing, so far! I will watch the first episode and then probably swich off when it gets to the fashion stuff I saw some people complimenting the fact she is crying as a vulnerability thing, but honestly it falls flat to me when she is crying about not being recognised enough while sitting on the balcony of her multi-million massion with a massive land of her country estate behind her. I don't know...

I cant find any info on this, sadly...

Was just perusing PopJustice and in the Sugababes forum someone posted this. Apparently, in September 2001, Sugababes had been in the studio recording (the day before this interview) what was to be a Christmas charity single with Emma as well as other acts such as A1 and Anastasia 🤔 From what they say here, it sounds like the song was recorded. But do we have any info at all on what it might be?

knowing them, I wouldnt expect more than a Wannabe set lol or Gerita with the union jack (AGAIN!)

Spice Girls Funko Pops are coming next Spring apparently. Probably part of the 30th anniversary celebrations. Outside of the LEGO partnership, this is probably the most interesting merchandise partnership they have done since 2018 lol Funko Pop are everywhere and really popular, so hopefully it will do well

HAPPY 27th BIRTHDAY to the iconic, stunning I Want You Back!! It is a true classic in my house and showed so much potential for Mel B!

BBC4 just broadcasted this classic performance and made me feel all the feels again... Probably one of the most bittersweet moments in Pop history. The last performance of them (at the time) of Viva Forever, one of the best and most beautiful songs ever writen. You can tell they were exhausted here, touring and promoting all the time, non-stop, had really taken a toll. Geri seems completely out of it, like she is going to a funeral. Still, what a classic, what a song! What a video. It's just iconic. You can download the performance video (credit to Craig Rogers-Bennett on Spice Circle) here: https://mega.nz/file/oAgREKSA#OoXjWpHQihgsFruF03VofW2B-9Tfh84jM2C36XZYxdA

Yeah me too. Such a f***ing downgrade... Specially since Victoria will not dive into her music career that much other than a few moments on how she used to be a popstar etc... if it was a documentary about that, I would lap it up! Alas... I coud see Emma being in it as they seem close, same with Mel C. Anyway, I will wait to see what the documentary is about and then see if I can be bothered. Question: is this a 1-episode documentary or a series?
