Yeah it's so odd because it could have easily been such an easy win... I believe this is the THIRD time they f*** up a documentary deal with Netflix. First they had the deal in 2019 that was following them on tour and then it got cancelled after Geri called the whole thing off post Wembley (as confirmed by a Netflix staffer on Spice Circle back then.. gosh 2019 was f***ing wild, I still have wiplash from it lol). Then, they signed on to a documentary series in 2023 - confirmed by some of them - which was to be produced by a great team of Hollywood heavyweights, PLUS a Netflix Drama series about their story with some great acclaimed writers and a director on board. All cancelled. Three projects. I don't think Netflix will bite again after this. This is on the heels of the animation movie which was bought (and officially announced) by Paramount and which had also acclaimed writers attached. That was cancelled as well... And then the various tours they seemingly had planned in late 2019, then 2020, then they were in talks again for another tour in 2023, and then last year again... Mind you this was at the time when touring was at an all time high, when artists were making hundreds of millions on tour. They could have easily done a world-wide Stadium tour in 2024 and make over £200million + merch... All thrown in the bin. All of this since the 2019 Stadium tour ended. My god... what could have been.

Mel B has dimissed yet again rumours of a reunion happening. She said 'possibly' but also said nothing is happening lol She has also confirmed that the Netflix documentary has been cancelled. When pressed about as to why the documentary came to a holt, she said 'I'll tell you in the dressing room'. I'd love to know the types of discussions that go in to cancelling full and profitable projects like that. Was there any confirmation/rumour about WHY a bloody documentary can't go forward?... It's so odd She also seems frustrated, a bit more than usual. Though she does grin about a potential reunion, but I don't think she is hiding anything.

She still does the Sunday shows, but I think she pre-records them?

About the AI stuff I was mostly talking about the Mel c one actually. But yeah, these could be real, for sure. I will wait for us to have further confirmation though. Nonetheless, the two new titles mentioned here might be: So Many Questions (Mel C demo) Want Me Too (Mel B demo) those are only titles suggested by the seller though, and they clarify that they named the songs that based on their chorus. I too hope they post some clips.

Hi thank you. Could you link the Mel B ones? I think 'ideas' might just be super early ideas of melodies/lyrics that do not necessarily make a song. This is the first time we hear about a Mel C song called So Many Questions or at least with that line so prominent in the chorus (as per description). I am reticent to add them as they could just be made up stuff. We live in the world of AI now, I am afraid we might need to dig in a bit more before taking these things at face value. Also, €3000, f*** off!!

I know people don't particularly like the GH image because it is not the original GH cover and also it is a copy+pasta from the CD1 of Spice Up Your Life and this image from the CD2 would make it more special. But I actually think the GH image works really well, in general, as a Spice Girls Greatest Hits image/cover. I also prefer the original but I dont think this CD2 one is better than what we have at the moment. If you see, their poses here look a bit more forced (specially Emma and Mel C), whereas the one on the GH cover look more natural, at least in my opinion.

TFI Friday official channel has uploaded one of the Spice Girls best ever live performances! I really wish they explored this type of sound a bit more back then. It was the perfect bridge between Spice and Spiceworld and could have been a proper hit if it had been released as a single. Wild that it was a Pepsi only song for so long. While they were on their biggest tour singing it live every night, you couldnt actually buy or hear the song anymore as by 1998 the campaign had all but finished lol so unless you had bought it, you would be stuck!

Again... kind of.. yes, for sure it is mostly the older generations but they do have a considerably big streaming presence for a UK girlband that has not been active properly since 1999 and have consistently neglected their own legacy of music for the best part of 25 years. They have 13million monthly listeners on Spotify, which is a lot and nothing to sniff at I say UK girlband because Spotify main audience is in the US.

Kind of?... If streaming wasn't a thing or so impactful, believe me that they would have re-released the standard versions of Spice and Spiceworld on phisicals much more over the years, to make sure the money would continue tickling in from those sales, and more 'special editions' too like other bands. Yes their main income would be merch, ads, radio play and sindication (i believe even before streaming, they were getting like 2million each per year from these lol). Now, if they tour again and re-release their music, they will continue to make even more money... Let's see what happens this year with the 30th anniversary.
