The ‘buzzjack only likes female singers’ posts really are tiresome. This is...not good. A bad song is a bad song. I wouldn’t like it if it was someone else singing it either, the yodelling chorus is painful. It’s still better than Holy though, so at least there’s that.

Those have got to be some of her worst artworks ever. Considering the album cover is actually quite strong, those are all shocking (except the Hold Tight one, which I guess is ok?)

This is great. Why was Holiday the second single when they had this? Hopefully it’ll be a single at some point. Jesy’s voice is a bit much at the start though. Had to listen really closely to work out what she was singing haha, I find that in general with her :’)

This is gorgeous :heart: Could easily fit on NFR which is certainly not a bad thing. Can’t wait for the rest of the album, supposedly all produced by Jack Antonoff? They’re such a perfect match.

This is only being released to urge people to vote in order to get Trump out though, it’s not like it’s a proper single. Agree that her last few releases haven’t been great, but it’s not as if they’re aiming for a hit with this.

I’m Mariah all the way 😅 My favourite vocalist of the three and I prefer her albums and singles. Celine is my least favourite overall :ph34r:

Those sales are so low. Wasn’t surprised at it not charting last week but I thought it’d do much better this week with physicals included. Strange how Carrie & Lowell did so much better, I would’ve thought this would be the one to do well, being his modest major release after Mystery of Love etc.

25 is much higher than I thought it’d be! I wouldn’t have been surprised if it hadn’t charted at all. I love Lana but haven’t bothered listening to it yet 😅

Love this so much, the production is incredible. I wasn’t sure about Megan at first but I’m loving her as an artist now. Like Liam says, she’s doing something a bit different to most rappers at the moment. And that VIDEO! Amazing.

I’m not even sure which of his albums is my favourite. The last three (four now) have all been incredible. I think Carrie & Lowell might just edge it at the moment, but The Age of Adz, Illinoise and now this are up there. Also adore Seven Swans but I don’t think it’s quite in the same league as those four.

I'm guessing that's its official release date – this was from a pre-order though. No idea what that'll mean for chart sales though, I'm sure he'll be nowhere without the physical sales added.

Yeah, disappointing review from pitchfork but everything else I’ve seen has been great. Not quite up to the usual Sufjan standards but that was a big ask anyway! Just had my first full listen through and I’m in love. It’s exactly the type of album I wanted from him. It’s dense and a lot to take in but I wouldn’t expect or want anything less.
