Edge of Glory is the PERFECT CLOSER.

 

Not gonna lie, I think she WASN'T overhyping it. This possibly is the greatest album of the century so far, all killer no filler. But then, I am in full loon mode right now http://www.moopy.org.uk/forums/images/smilies/disco.gif

In all seriousness it is a good album but I still feel she was ridiculously overhyping it. 'Hair', 'Born This Way' and 'Bad Kids' are especially NOT-SO-GOOD imo. Having said that though, I'll happily overlook those disappointments due to the amazingness of 'Government Hooker'.

So, despite only really liking one of the songs pre-leak ('Edge of Glory'), I'm actually really liking the album!

Favourites would be 'Government Hooker', 'Scheiße' and 'Electric Chapel'.

Overall, so much better than I was expecting, the singles are definitely the least experimental tracks on there.

From the songs I've listened to so far ('Government Hooker', 'Sheiße' and 'Electric Chapel') it seriously sounds like she's chosen to relese the worst songs from the album as singles. Bizarre.

Oh my GOD 'Government Hooker' is all sorts of amazing. Would've loved the whole album to be like it.

So apparently it was being sold early on iTunes by accident (now it's been removed). OUCH.

I'm not overly fond of this.

I really liked their debut but most of these songs don't really click with me for some reason. Maybe I should give it more listens but at this point in time I'm just not that interested in doing so.

Love both his albums. Definitely prefer MOTM1 but this one is awesome too. Like you say though, definitely a grower.
