Arca - Puta/Sola
We haven't had much new material from Arca since she released four albums in the space of a week at the end of 2021, but she's back with a double A side (if that's still a thing?), Puta/Sola. I love that these two show the two sides to her work – the more abrasive side in Puta, and the softer, more ethereal Sola. I can already see Sola becoming one of my favourite songs of the year, it's gooorgeous. Really hope this is leading up to a new album, I've missed her ❤️

Arcade Fire - Pink Elephant
Same here, I can't bring myself to listen to them since the allegations. I enjoyed bits from Everything Now and WE, but it was very much diminishing returns, so I don't really feel like I'm missing much by not even giving this a listen.

Kali Uchis – Sincerely,
Can’t get enough of this, it’s an album to get lost in. Love the shoegazy, lo-fi feel to it, it’s perfect for hazy summer days. There’s something quite Lana (Ultraviolence especially) about it. ‘Lose My Cool,’ is up there with her absolute best for me, and ‘Territorial’ shows that she’d be a perfect fit for the next Bond theme. Looove.

Kali Uchis – Sincerely,
She's so prolific, this is her third album in as many years and it's as strong as they always are. She's building such a great discography, and it's all so distincitvely her, despite this being quite different in sound to a lot of Orquídeas. The production here is stunning, it's so dreamy and sensual, and her voice glides over it Territorial and All I Can Say are immediate standouts for me, glad to see she's pushing the latter:

PinkPantheress - Fancy That
All the samples and interpolations are so well done, and so fitting for her sound and aesthetic. Love our Y2K queen. Spiral, Starz in Their Eyes, Basement Jaxx Romeo might just be the best song ever recorded. Obsessed.

Lorde - What Was That
Quite honestly the best selection of support acts ever It’s like my dream festival line-up, just gutted they can’t all be on the same date

Erika de Casier
She’s surprise released a new album today, Lifetime. Another gorgeous album, I can see this being one of my favourites of the year. Still was probably my favourite album of last year, she’s so consistently good. And that voice ❤️

f5ve feat. Kesha - Sugar Free Venom
Obsessed with this. They've released their debut album this week and it's great. UFO was one of my favourite songs of last year so I had high hopes for it. With BloodPop as the executive producer and A. G. Cook and HudMo co-producing some songs it was always going to be a smash for me
- Lorde - Virgin

Self Esteem - A Complicated Woman
I kind of hate all of this 🥲 Such a shame after loving the first two, but none of this is for me at all. It’ll be interesting to see how it does, her profile has been raised a lot since Prioritise Pleasure, but I’m not sure any of the new material is hitting the same.
-
PinkPantheress - Stateside
This is so good. Love Tonight too, but this is on a whole other level for me. Is that a Freak Like Me interpolation in the second verse? It has such a Sugababes feel to it in general, love it.

Addison Rae - Headphones On
Agreed, I think ‘Obsessed’ is where she sounds most like her! It’s the almost nonchalant delivery of the vocals haha. Cassie’s always had such an effortlessly cool vibe to her and I think Addison has really tapped into that too. Love that this is already shaping up to be a hit, it’s great to see quality winning sometimes 🥲

Addison Rae - Headphones On
I think this might be my favourite of hers now, it’s that good Can’t get enough of the airy vocals, the delivery actually reminds me of Cassie a bit, which is the highest compliment as I’ve always been obsessed with her
-
Addison Rae - Headphones On
It really is, it’s like she’s put all my favourites references into one song So dreamy. Genuinely can’t remember a singles run this strong. All absolute 10/10s

Lana Del Rey - Henry, come on
She just never misses, this is stunning. The strings! ❤️
-
Lana Del Rey - Henry, come on
Yeah, the photo is gorgeous (Neil Krug always does great photoshoots with her) but it’s still uncropped and the type is literally a picsart font just lazily placed in the top left 🥲 It’s got nothing on the horror trilogy of Blue Banisters/Text Book/Wildflower Wildfire though, those ‘covers’ were the stuff of nightmares!
-
Lana Del Rey - Henry, come on
I’m so ready for this. Love that it’s already such a typical Lana era – picsart uncropped artwork, a release date randomly thrown out (which probably won’t be met), multiple album titles. Please never change, Lana ❤️
-
Weeds - 08.04.2025 - A09S02
This is gorgeous. Their vocals just glide over the production. Mutya is sounding more like Kelela than ever when the production wouldn’t sound too out of place on Raven. Love.

eternal sunshine • 7th Album
I can’t stop listening to all the new tracks, they’re all some of my favourites on the album now. past life is already shaping up to be one of my overall favourites of hers, can’t get enough of it.

eternal sunshine • 7th Album
Love all the new tracks, they’re all so strong and add to the ethereal, dreamy feel of the original album. warm and past life are immediately up there with my favourites from the whole thing ❤️

Jungle - 13.03.25 - A09S01 - A new era begins
This is excellent. Totally agree it feels so fresh but also so them, it’s exactly how they should be sounding in 2025. LOVE.

How would you rank/rate the MAYHEM tracks?
01 Vanish Into You 02 Garden of Eden 03 Perfect Celebrity 04 How Bad Do U Want Me 05 Disease 06 Zombieboy 07 Abracadabra 08 LoveDrug 09 Killah 10 Shadow of a Man 11 Don’t Call Tonight (feels harsh putting this here, genuinely love all of them from here) 12 The Beast 13 Die With a Smile 14 Blade of Grass I always find these so difficult, I’m sure my order would be different even tomorrow 🥲

Mayhem ● 7th album
I’m loving this, my favourite album of hers in so long. I really like Disease and Abracadabra and would’ve been very happy with an album in that vein but I love that the album we actually got was quite unexpected. Looove the Prince vibes of Killah, the rock drawl of Perfect Celebrity, and Garden of Eden is absolutely huge. Vanish Into You has been the one I’ve gone back to the most, the intro took me out a bit on first listen but I can’t stop listening to it now.
-
LISA - Alter Ego
Same, I’m loving this. I was worried it wouldn’t be up to the standard of Rockstar and New Woman but it’s all really strong. I think hers was always going to be the album I was most excited for so I’m glad I’m loving it, ha. Obsessed with FXCK UP THE WORLD (and the video!! What a star), Lifestyle and Chill, she’s such an exciting artist.

Tate McRae - So Close To What
Purple lace bra! Emile Haynie in full Born to Die mode, love it. I know it’s doing quite well, but I feel like Sports Car should be a worldwide smash at this point, it’s so addictive.
