LOVE that she’s finally getting the recognition she deserves after all this time! So pleased for her, hope it has a knock-on effect on Quantum Baby and her future projects too, she deserves allll the success.

She’s really found the right balance now between all-out pop and the more experimental style she’s been doing for years. Such a well crafted album and a highlight in an already consistently great discography. Love how she’s in such a lane of her own. So I is devastatingly beautiful 😭💚

Obsessed with her new album ORQUÍDEAS. Red Moon in Venus was one of my favourites of last year, and I'm loving this one just as much if not more. She's so consistently good! Four great albums in a row now :heart: There are a few that seem like smashes waiting to happen – Igual Que Un Ángel and Tu Corazón Es Mío... especially. Those two, along with Perdiste and No Hay Ley Parte 2 are on repeat for me at the moment. TaxJKDaciqk :heart:

You, No Sleeep and All Nite are too low for me, but most of these look about in the right place to me so far! Agree that All Nite should’ve been the lead single for Damita Jo over Just a Little While, but yeah, it wouldn’t have made a difference to how well it did at the time post-Super Bowl, sadly. Glad to see most of my favourites still in, hoping Rhythm Nation, Love Will Never Do and If don’t appear for a while yet :heart:

This is incredible. It's like all my favourite things about Sufjan's music all rolled into one :heart: I can already see it being one of my absolute favourites of his, and so many of these will be Sufjan classics – Shit Talk is the standout for me on first listen. That one really stopped me in my tracks. Absolutely gorgeous. The news of his health really shocked me, it looks like he's out of hospital now so hopefully over the worst of it. So scary though, and it sounds like it's something that doesn't necessarily have a quick recovery time.

I’m not sure what the purpose of it was either really! I guess just making the most of her being here after the radio 2 show, and to rehearse ahead of the Vegas residency? Strange that it was so under-promoted though, I was totally sure it was even legit until the day, I’d hardly seen anyone talking about it online and even the venue itself only posted about it on the day :’)

I somehow managed to win tickets for last night’s gig – was my first time seeing her and she was great! Just the absolute sweetest too, you can tell the success of this album has meant a lot to her. All the new songs sounded amazing live, especially Hold On to Now. Story isn’t my favourite from the album, but she sounded great doing that. I was hoping for the original version of Slow (my absolute favourite :heart:) rather than the arrangement she’s been doing for a while, but it was still good to hear that live in any form. The crowd was oddly dead during Padam Padam, but I guess that’s what happens when it’s a room mostly full of competition winners and celebs rather than proper fans :lol:

Must’ve been the most stressful pre-sale experience of all time. Staggering it has made it even worse than trying for Glastonbury tickets Finally got some just now too, the seats are awful but like you say Ultra, just being there at all will be amazing! I can now breathe

I can’t get enough of this, it’s so impressive. Not many artists could get away with a 20-track, 90+ minute album – with this, I’m ready to start it all over again by the time it’s finished, it’s that good. SO many highlights but that 1-2-3-4 punch of Tears can be so soft/Marvin descending/A day in the water/Full of life is really something. What a way to start an album. Up there with the best of the year for me, might even be my favourite overall so far. What a star, I’m desperate to see him live again.

Tell me you haven’t listened to the album without telling me you haven’t listened to the album 🤡 Genuinely don’t understand how anyone can still think Born to Die is her best work after the numerous masterpieces she’s released since…but there you go. Her songwriting just gets stronger and stronger. The Grants, Kintsugi, Grandfather and the title track are some of her strongest lyrically for me ever. Kintsugi :heart: Couldn’t wait to hear Taco Truck x VB as soon as I heard about the Venice Bitch sample, and it didn’t disappoint. What a way to close an album 🤯 Never know how a new Lana album fits in with my album ranking as they always reveal themselves so much with further listens, but it’s another great album from her, and one I’m looking forward to really delving into more.

I also thought it was Diana at first (and must’ve read the same review as you Jade haha), but I thought it didn’t quite sound like her, and saw about it being Yves’ bass player, Kidä, which would make sense. Can’t get enough of this, there aren’t any duds for me. Definitely need to get my hands on the yellow vinyl version, that goes so well with the artwork (which reminds me a bit of Björk’s Vulnicura, colour palette and composition-wise 😅)

That 1-2-3 hit of God Is a Circle/Lovely Sewer/Meteora Blues! What a way to start an album 🤩 Absolutely loving this, had loved the songs I’d heard from it already and the rest of it is just as strong. I can see this being one of my favourites of the year, they’re such an exciting artist to be following :heart:

3/3. I ended up loving all the pre-release Blue Banisters songs (and the album is one of my favourites of hers now), but they took a while to grow on me. These three have all been instant love, it’s shaping up to be a gorgeous album. (lol forgot Arcadia was released before the album too, but these have all been more instant than that too)
