    Stop Trying To Be God is the one for me.

    Those Cudi hums, James Blake’s heavenly voice, Stevie on the harmonica...it’s MBDTF level.

     

    Those beat switches in Sicko Mode are insane, love that too.

     

    Overall it’s not as strong as Birds for me atm and some of it feels a bit too Migos-like, but I’m sure it’ll grow.

    Does she really think she can compete against Ariana?

    I’m sure she’s aware she’s no competition for Ariana, I think she’s more concerned about getting the Tracy Chapman sample cleared in time. It makes sense really, I’m glad she’s prioritising that over the chart position. Unless the sample isn’t cleared and then it’s all for nothing I guess haha

    Keep meaning to make a thread for this. Love the trailer and artwork so much, unbelievably excited for this, BITTSM is one of my favourite albums of the last few years.

     

    It’s out 3rd August not September though, this Friday!

    The way it ends, is that a suggestion that it could sequence into the next track a la Confessions?

     

    Aside from that aspect which threw me slightly, I was going to say that it would make a nice album closer.

    I think that might just be because it’s a leak and not the official version? I’m guessing it was cut a bit early and the final one will have a more definite ending, otherwise I’m hoping what you say is true, would love that.

     

    I’m liking this a lot and it’s great to have her back but it’s not as good as I’d hoped. I’m glad in a way that she hasn’t switched up her sound because it works so well but it’s also a bit of a shame that it’s so similar.

    ‘Goodnight and Go’ is the title of an Imogen Heap song, who she also mentioned in the Madonna tweet, so maybe she’s covered that and ‘Borderline’? Love ‘Goodnight and Go’ so much so it’ll be great to hear what she does with that.

    Yeah I read it as being 500 songs submitted to her team, which wouldn’t surprise me at all.

    There’s no way she’s recorded that many of them but in terms of songs submitted I can totally believe that.

     

    I’m so here for a dancehall album.

    Not hearing the PC Music comparison!

    I used to think it was all about the high tempo bangers when it comes to Ciara but it’s definitely all about the slow jams so I’m hoping we have plenty of them to come. This is alright but not as good as I want it to be.
