I think Nicki will always be in the shadow of her 'Monster' verse, I'm not sure she can ever beat it 😍

Such a huge contrast to 'Prism''s pre-album singles. I love them both but they were very safe.

Some of her ballads are her best! Some of them are hideous though, she's a bit hit and miss with them for me.

Yeah, I've never been more excited for a Katy album either. All three so far are absolute fire.

Definitely very Sia and I was hoping she'd come out with something more distinctive but I'm loving it regardless. I actually love the Genie sample, I think it works so well. Seriously no idea what she's even saying at the end of the first line though, that diction :')

The production is very 2014 DJ Mustard a la '2 On', 'Don't Tell 'Em' . . . so naturally I'm loving it.

Loving 'Swish Swish' on first listen. Can't get enough of the chorus (if it is the chorus?)

Nicki's great in it too. Her first verse sounds exactly like her 'Run Up' one though, ha.

Love the artwork, definitely her best so far. Take off the parental advisory sticker and 👌🏼

Well it's...different. I'm not sure what to think of it yet, but it's a bold single choice for sure and fair play to get her for doing something so different to anything else. Reminds me aloud Alanis Morissette in some ways.

I've been meaning to watch the series for YEARS but have finally got around to it in time for this.

Just finished season two and oh my LORD at that ending. Loved it. I haven't seen 'Fire Walk With Me' yet but I'll watch that before I see any of this new series, just to make sure I'm not missing out on anything.

It sounds exactly the same as the leaked version, from that IG clip. I loved it when I first heard it but if it's basically exactly the same it's not exciting me very much 🙃 It's been out a year...

The Charli/MØ collab will probably be my song of the year, judging by everything we've heard about it.

'Slide' sounding like Frank material is such a reach, other than it having his voice and lyrics on it.

 

Calvin can obviously make generic EDM bangers in his sleep, maybe he isn't bothered about the charts right now? Blogs, Pitchfork etc are all covering this music positively (hasn't happened in years), and people who weren't interested in him before now are.

Ha, yeah 'Slide' really doesn't sound like the rest of Frank's stuff at all, that's a ridiculous claim.

 

This era is what Calvin needs. He could easily be bringing out more 'This Is What You Came For'/'My Way's but he's due a change in sound. Even if people aren't totallly bored of that sound yet I feel like they will be soon. His popularity was already waning slightly so it's good to show some progression.
