  2. Tell me you haven’t listened to the album without telling me you haven’t listened to the album 🤡 Genuinely don’t understand how anyone can still think Born to Die is her best work after the numerous masterpieces she’s released since…but there you go. Her songwriting just gets stronger and stronger. The Grants, Kintsugi, Grandfather and the title track are some of her strongest lyrically for me ever. Kintsugi  Couldn’t wait to hear Taco Truck x VB as soon as I heard about the Venice Bitch sample, and it didn’t disappoint. What a way to close an album 🤯 Never know how a new Lana album fits in with my album ranking as they always reveal themselves so much with further listens, but it’s another great album from her, and one I’m looking forward to really delving into more.
  3. I also thought it was Diana at first (and must’ve read the same review as you Jade haha), but I thought it didn’t quite sound like her, and saw about it being Yves’ bass player, Kidä, which would make sense. Can’t get enough of this, there aren’t any duds for me. Definitely need to get my hands on the yellow vinyl version, that goes so well with the artwork (which reminds me a bit of Björk’s Vulnicura, colour palette and composition-wise 😅)
  4. That 1-2-3 hit of God Is a Circle/Lovely Sewer/Meteora Blues! What a way to start an album 🤩 Absolutely loving this, had loved the songs I’d heard from it already and the rest of it is just as strong. I can see this being one of my favourites of the year, they’re such an exciting artist to be following
  5. 3/3. I ended up loving all the pre-release Blue Banisters songs (and the album is one of my favourites of hers now), but they took a while to grow on me. These three have all been instant love, it’s shaping up to be a gorgeous album. (lol forgot Arcadia was released before the album too, but these have all been more instant than that too)

Can’t get enough of this, what an album! Do you mean Mutya? I think she sounds really Mutya in quite a few places, especially on the title track (one of my absolute favourites), not really getting Keisha though!
  8. Wow. Absolutely adore this, 2/2 now and can’t wait for the rest of the album. This and Desire, I Want to Turn Into You coming out on the same day, and Raven only a few days ago should not be allowed. Too much good new music at the moment 🥹

Completely agree, it’s an incredible album. Can tell it’ll be one I’ll constantly return to, it’s one you feel so immersed in. The singles already feel like classics and everything else is just as strong. I’m love with the seamless transitions. Sorbet
  10. She never misses. This is so good  The chorus has been stuck in my head ever since hearing the clip, love it.
  11. Can’t wait for this. Love the sound of it, and she can do no wrong for me so far. Glad she’s not waiting too long to release new material, Motomami has been on constant repeat since its release and I’m even more obsessed after finally seeing her at her O2 date. Such a star
  12. Haha well, obviously… I’m not expecting anything like that at all, I just meant he’s quite hit and miss for me.
  13. I’m not too bothered about the Bleachers collab either. I really liked a few from Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night though, so I’m hopeful that it’ll be more in that vein and less like the Anti-Hero remix 😅 Can’t wait for the Father John Misty one though, adore his latest album and Lana would fit that more jazzy sound so well (as proven on Buddy’s Rendezvous). Really intrigued by the Tommy Genesis one too, can’t really imagine them together but I have a feeling I’ll love it.
  14. I’ve gone for the amazon one, just love that green/pink combination so much, and the photo’s stunning I’ll probably get that standard one on release week as well, that’s my second favourite Can’t believe we’ve got a title, release date, pre-orders, gorgeous variants, single… I’m so proud of her :’) Adore the song already, it’s another Lana classic in the making
  15. The Amazon one is gorgeous
  16. Pre-order links up on her site now, the artwork is stunning for all the variants 😭
  17. Haha it wouldn’t be a new Lana era without a messy start to it. Just hoping they get the artwork right this time, I don’t want another Chemtrails mess 😭 I’m so ready for this, she’s been on constant repeat for me for the last couple of years, she just gets better and better. Her three most recent albums are my favourites of hers (along with Honeymoon, unpopular option I know ha), so can’t wait to see where she goes with this one.
  18. Looks like the digital release is Valentine’s Day, so thankfully not as long to wait as it first looked like it would be! I’ve loved everything so far but Welcome to My Island is already the absolute one. What an album opener 🤩 The artwork is incredible too, glad we’ve finally confirmation of another album on the way, Pang feels like a lifetime ago now.
  19. I’m already stressing at the thought of getting tickets and the UK dates haven’t even been announced yet 🥲 I saw somewhere she’d confirmed Delicate will be on the setlist? Hoping that’s true, one of my absolute favourites  Must be impossible planning the setlist with so many albums to cover, and four albums and two re-releases since the last tour… insane. I’m hoping for Cruel Summer, August and Willow at least. Would LOVE Invisible String but I think that’s probably unlikely when there are so many to choose from.
  20. There’s a deluxe version of Prioritise Pleasure coming out 18th November with five new versions of songs from the album, I’m guessing it’s the lead single from that? So glad this whole album campaign has been such a success for her!
  21. I saw them at their London show last night and they were incredible. You can tell how much they’re enjoying being back on stage, and their voices and harmonies were as strong as ever – Keisha was just on another level though, she’s such a star. Incredible atmosphere, there’s so much love for them! It was the busiest I’ve ever seen the Apollo – I’m glad I wasn’t standing, I saw a few tweets from people who’d left because they didn’t feel safe due to overcrowding.
  22. Labyrinth ❤️ The Great War ❤️ High Infidelity ❤️ Really glad we got some Dessner tracks on the 3am version, always love his production work and as much as I really liked the standard album on first listen, I missed his touch a bit. I wasn’t really sure what to expect on first listen and I was ready to be disappointed, but I was pleasantly surprised. Always love her subdued, synthy songs so I think I’ll be going back to this a lot. I don’t think anything will touch folklore and evermore for me, but it’s great to hear her back with bigger production.

I don’t think this will end up being one of my absolute favourite albums of hers, but it’s a definite step up from Utopia and I’m really liking it. She’s got such a strong discography but I think it’ll end up about mid-table, which to be honest is the highest I could expect at this point – I can’t see anything competing with the holy trinity of Vespertine/Homogenic/Vulnicura for me. I was expecting more songs in the vein of Atopos and the title track, and I think it’d be a stronger album if there was more of that (which I’m assuming is the GMO involvement?). Whereas the rest of her albums have a definite feel to them, this feels more like an amalgamation of all her albums, which is to its strength as well as its detriment. It feels a lot like a Medulla/Volta hybrid in places, with a bit of the other albums thrown in. My favourites at the moment are Atopos, Sorrowful Soil, Freefall (those last two minutes ), Fossora and Her Mother’s House. The last of which is one of her most beautiful songs ever I think
  24. Snow on the Beach features Lana, can’t wait 😍

You being gay has nothing to do with it… a transphobe is a transphobe. It’s sad that so much transphobia comes from within the LGBTQ+ community itself.
