Agree there’s a lot to take in, it’s all so impressive. I love her :heart: Can’t get over how perfect it is having Bruja as the opener and Joya as the closer on iii. Joya gives me such Björk vibes, beautiful. No idea how I’d rank them yet, but each one has so many highlights. I’ve seen ii being a lot of people’s least favourite, but that Prada / Rakata / Tiro / Luna Llena run! 🤩

Really hope it’s managed to climb to #2 today, it doesn’t deserve to be her lowest-charting album 😭 Too early to say but I think it’ll end up being one of my favourites of hers, it’s been on repeat all week.

Managed to get the standard vinyl in hmv today so it looks like it’s just the variants that are delayed. I’ve had this on repeat since yesterday morning and I’m loving it. Too early to compare it to her others yet but it’s another great album in her discography, and much more instant than Chemtrails was for me.

It looks like there are vinyl delays for this now… I imagine that’ll affect the first week sales quite a bit 💔

Completely agree. The fact anyone can interpret this situation as Leigh being the one in the wrong or inciting hate…wow.

I actually really wanted to like this and I want her to have a successful solo career, but this is such an awful way to launch it. Relying so heavily on the sample is so odd for her debut single, but then again, that’s the only part I like 🥲 The verses are awful, no idea what she’s saying for most of it, and it all just comes off so embarrassing which is really not what she needs when she gets so much hate already. Honestly no idea how this’ll do, interested to see how the public take to it.

Honeymoon definitely seems to be the least liked overall, but I really like it! The title track is one of her best ever for me :heart: I think it’d be my third favourite album of hers after NFR and UV, maybe even edging towards second favourite.

Can't wait for this, it's been way too long :heart: No idea what to expect from it, but she's excelled at everything she's done so far, so I have high hopes

Same here, they all passed me by on the first few listens but I'm loving them now Text Book is such a gorgeous opener, and I can definitely hear the Honeymoon comparisons in that :heart: I like Arcadia a lot too but I think it's my least favourite of the four so far

Following on from last year's KiCk i, Arca's just released the first single from KiCk ii, which is out 03/12. And it features...Sia. _Ed8EpTp-NI Quite an unexpected collaboration, and it's by far her most pop release yet, but I'm loving it. I can't imagine the rest of the album being so pop though, she's described it as being 'heavy on backbeats, vocal manipulation, mania, and craziness'. No idea why, but I wasn’t expecting to love this as much as I did. Sufjan always delivers, and him and Angelo work so well together. Some of these are up their with his absolute best for me — The Pillar of Souls and (This Is) The Thing are early standouts for me. With this, Convocations, The Ascension and Aporia, we are being well and truly FED.

All Too Well not making the top 20… 😭 So shocked at that, I thought it was certain to be too 10 at least 💔

I adore this. The title track is such a perfect opener, can’t get enough of that. So many highlights throughout, but my favourites are probably cherry times, simple times, what doesn’t kill me, there is a light (that flute!). I’m not quite sure how it compares to Golden Hour for me yet, but it’s certainly up there with it at least. From hearing the title track first, I did think it would be a lot more cinematic and dramatic, but I like that she hasn’t gone down that route just because of the subject matter. It’s almost refreshing to have a breakup album that’s so breezy and carefree in parts.

This is such a disappointment for me. I wanted to love it, but it’s got nothing on anything from PANG 💔

I was hoping she’d announce something to commemorate Vespertine turning 20 💔 Really interested in this though, especially after all the delays. She always delivers with her live performances. Also hoping for new music soon, it’s coming up to four years since Utopia already somehow!

I don’t think Sour or Solar Power are comparable here really. The list of features on DONDA is never-ending, yet the number of women who feature is minuscule. That, along with the features from DaBaby and Marilyn Manson… really isn’t a good look. I haven’t managed to get through it all yet, but I do like quite a bit of what I have heard. There’s nothing to rival any of his best, but I’m liking it a lot more than Ye and Jesus is King. Still, I can’t see myself returning to the album as a whole much at all (if ever?) because of the length, which is a shame, as I love a Kanye album to be a full experience.
