Good video. The song is excellent. Extremely catchy.

Absolutely love this song. Sort of thing that gets stuck in your head. Very catchy indeed. Have only seen him sing it on Children In Need where he was suprisingly one of the best performers on the night.

Leon doing really well considering people are downloading based on one performance on CIN and there has been no radio airplay or video for the song.
  4. Love this version by Leona. Hope it gets to number 1 and with a killer performance on X Factor it has a good chance. Should definitely be a top 3 hit though.

Dont like this song. Crush is a lot better and has also sold a lot better on itunes. It will soon be platinum.
  6. DigitalSpy have a list of the top 10 films last weekend. HSM3 took over £8 million whilst Saw V took over £2 million.

Woolworths are stocking the song too. Priced at £3.99 and it looked liked they had sold a fair amount.

Usually love Girls aloud but their performance was dire last night with its combination of bad live singing on the verses and mimed chorus. Song still not one of my favourites of theirs either.
  9. Ally Ross, the tv critic in The Sun has written a very incisive review of the show and the CD and how it was one big greedy self-indulgent and not that funny advert for the song which was sung three times near the end of the show.

I think Girls Aloud will storm into the top 10 after their appearance on X Factor this week.
  11. Easy mistake to make then though you would not think it judging by this thread. ^_^
  12. Okay I am going to admit defeat and will have to grit my teeth at the inevitable forthcoming Christmas single, dvd, album and tv special. How much longer should the joke be considered funny though before we stop having to dig into our wallets?
  13. My only shock is that Peter Kay is not the runaway winner in the number one slot this week with the amount of places that you can buy the song. Other acts stand no chance of competing on the same level.
  14. No I didnt buy a copy though it was hard not to after being visually assaulted by the amount of P.O.S in ever supermarket I walk in to. Chris Moyles has been a big supporter of this record which has also helped in promotion. Helps that he is good friends with Kay as well. I just find it interesting that supermarkets have decided to sell this song with such huge promotion which cant have come cheap if it was not for charity. At the end of the day Kay and Barlow will be raking in lots of lolly for poking fun at a talent series that does very well making fun of itself on its own and now he is set to release a further Christmas CD and special. Talk about milking the whole thing for his own benefit. I do think The Saturdays would have made a better number 1 and I didnt like the song on first listen but it is going to be denied by a glorified novelty single that is no better than Bob The Builder or Mr Blobby. They were released to rake in the cash from a gullible public too.
  15. I still believe that a majority of the public are under the impression that this is a charity single. The song is available in all the major supermarkets. Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury have display stands in their shops and Sainsburys and Asda are even selling it at the tills in some shops. My only shock is that it is not running away with huge sales this week with this advantage. People do associate Peter Kay with Comic Relief and the fact that supermarkets have gone overboard with promotion considering they dont usually stock singles will make the public believe that this is a charity song. I was even told in another thread on this forum that the song was for charity when that is definitely not the case.
  16. Anyone admit to buying this song thinking that it was a charity release when it turns out that all the profits will go to Peter Kay and Gary Barlow as well as the record company? I know some people on other forums believed that the song was for charity unless 29p really does go to crippled pole dancers. :D

I had no idea Robin Thicke was out this week. Not too fond of the new song but might buy the album on the strength of the last one.

I like Peter Kay but he must be laughing all the way to the bank with this novelty single. He not only releases a single but a DVD too knowing that people will part with their money as they think he is so clever in taking the p*** out of these talent shows when X Factor does it so well already. I might have felt better in buying the song if all proceeds had been going to Comic Relief.

A DJ at my local station played a little bit of another song by Leon called Creative from his album . Fantastic song and far better than Dont Call This Love. Should have been his first single. Still really liking Dont Call This Love though and nice to see it doing well.

Just downloaded Leon. Couldnt help myself. Really do like the song. Reminds me of a Philly soul track from the 70's.

Leon is at 34 now on the Pop chart but still not on the main chart. Weird.

itunes chart seems to be experiencing some problems at the moment. A few songs havent charted yet. The Saturdays should definitely be on there with Up.

According to an interview they did in the Daily Star the song has more in common with Rule The World than Shine.
  25. You are right. Memory must be going. Cant even remember that song now.
