Most UNCONVINCING Brit fan, EVA! ....... http://www.planet-flipside.com/meters/0.png
  2. - Complaint 1 - There is no option on the poll for a likely outcome..."pulled"..."withdrawn"... ie it wont even get a chance to be the certifiable HUMONGOUS flop (top 10? NURSE! The STRAITJACKET!) it would otherwise be. How come the MEGA relevance that the Gravity album (the (financial) point of single releases unless HUGE hits) just died on its arse (ie #13>#37 !!!!) last week has failed to even get a single mention in this thread??? Despite the unbelievable irony of the title of the trk 'Safe' this lead flop on the epic level nowhere near Westlife has ever experienced has hastened their commercial chart death further still. - Complaint 2 - i thought some BJ members were ardent supporters of chart integrity but their presence and their slaughtering of such shocking lack of the concept of fair play throughout this thread is sadly absent - i can only assume them having such superior chart knowledge + wisdom to realize that WL are most certainly over and have little significance to anything or anyone anymore, so there's no need for their efforts, karma has caught up with WL at last!. - Anything along the lines of "it would be a shame for this song to end their Top 10 run" P-A-R-D-O-N!!!!! The only SHAME is WL(ie following their renown PUPPET MASTERS (morality free)Cowel etc) and their INTEGRITY FREE, CYNICAL,REPUGNANT, + SLY MANIPULATION + ORCHESTRATION of the charts - the endless last minute release date jumping around, the releasing 1 less post album release single as their chart success dwindles to delay the inevitable loss of their top 10 run TILL they only released ONE from "Where we are" :D:D:D They simply don't deserve the chart run they've had because the degree of desperate tactics they used isn't comparable to any other act (exception eg"busted" + their endless ringtone/chart gimmicks - just being legal does not make it ethical/fairplay) - Rather like me saying Kylie would have more top 10 hits and #1 if it weren't for downloads and/or if VINYL still sold as well as it used to in the 80's. You can't use the excuse of technological evolution to explain the lack of success of an act, since some acts can survive, EVEN thrive in it perfectly well, its WL's lack of appeal to a new generation of music buyers that is the problem, the advantages and disadvantages of the new technology are applied equally to all acts just as they were with other previous advances in music recording + playing technology over recent decades. - Similar comparisons further point out it is MERE LUCK more than anything else that WL have achieved the chart run they have; The single chart environment into which WL arrived and for the most part of their career was marked by records debuting at their peak and(at least sales) dropping off at huge rates, the hype/huge promo rushes happened before the release date - chart life was shorter. Both the further forward/backward you go from the late 90s/early00s(download era) the more the reverse the nature of the chart.Getting any/all your singles to have top of the chart peaks become progressively more difficult eg now releasing a post album release single there is no way to built up sales to a release date because the track is already available to download from the album. When Kylie had her initial few years of success it was UNUSUAL for new entries near the top of the chart, heavy metal was the main exception just as exceptional as the short chart life it was too associated - records tended to be slow moving/stabler/less records making higher peak positions even though they sold the same overall as they hung around longer at lower position much like the download chart today, instead of the endless new entires in the Top 10 of one to fall out by the next week + replaced by new entries,in the late 90's. Basically you have to take into account the nature of the chart of the time or look at the overall sales of a record from different time periods for a fair comparison and this is where WL success has become artificially inflated eg Kylie only had half the consecutive chart run of top 10 hits since her DEBUT/first ever record on the chart, however given what i've just said about the smaller chance of getting high peaks in that chart era for Kylie its clearly much easier to score top 10 hits in WL's era ie WL would never have managed that 25 run back in the 80's - the average number of sales for a top 10 record are vastly greater then for top 10 record in the debut high then bomb the next week or 2 chart climate of WL. eg OVERALL SALES Very few of WL top charting hits have anything other than achingly average unremarkable sales they would have had corresponding. MUCH lower less remarkable peaks in the 80's/ early 90's. EXCESSIVE/DEGREE of use of 'COVER VERSIONS': both the essentially "ready made" "success pre-proven" huge classics they murder. Also the blinding classic that didn't get any attention by the media the first time round/never given a release then WL do a poor man's version which gets(at least just some) airplay + becomes a hit for them from someone else talents (+ since they aren't a solo act what incredible talent do they then all offer if they don't even write the majority of material they had hits with (its too late that they "appear" to have involvement now ) ie a few of them have no worthy contribution basically just surplus to requirement - few artists use cover versions to the extent of WL so thats another unfair tactic they used. - Other comments; Seriously neat biting remarks guys - just a shame there appears so few on a such thread so badly of need :( - Airplay; "Safe" could not have caused/cost them too loose virtually all Airplay (peak airplay was something the odd 100 plays in 1 week http://209.85.12.227/431/162/emo/yowza.gif MORE than if they had all just been publicly convicted for padeophilia. There is NO WAY, WHATEVER song they release next, that their Airplay will rebound to ANY significant or beneficial extent. Radio are sick + tired to their cowardly lack of (degree) of taking risks/changing their bland + life force sucking insipid formula as the rest of us. Their tvplay finished ages ago and their "Big TV show" promo will dry up now there commercial success is - no sales from the public because they never here your records + that even successful tours don't guarantee record deals only means ONE thing ;) <'Victor Meldrew' voice> I DON'T BELIEVE IT! Westlife doing a COVER? http://209.85.12.227/431/162/emo/yowza.gif - Given how shocking badly in ALL aspects 'Safe' did it seems quite an achievement the album managed platinum in the UK however it is NOT doing better than the last one (WWA), given that it now irreversibly dead, bombed so low down the chart where sales are post Xmas NON-EXISTENT, due to; 1) Despite 'Gravity' having 1 extra week in the sales weeks preceding Xmas than WWA it sold ~100k LESS than their last album still! 2)MAJOR RELEVANCE - INTERNATIONAL = essentially DEAD since release, a WL album has NEVER, EVER performed as poorly as this before (obviously the Irish sales are too insignificant to matter internationally) a UK platinum selling album ALONE is debatable if the Record Co. will end up any profit after all the expenses have been taken into account. Given how ruthless Syco are.... ...from what i've said above you know won't have to wait long - they just won't have the hassle of it being a 'choice' ;) -What is it with the WL Loons on this thread not only do they not seem to read the threads they contribute to on the WL forum they come from, they don't even seem to have read their OWN posts their?
  3. Strictly speaking though it flopped big time (as mentioned) BEFORE it was pulled, didn't it? Why pull something unless its (looks like) a commercial disaster? I mean what else would you expect, its Shakira, even the Xfactor can't save her career from constantly bombing, so desperate to have career in from a country's music chart you've heard of + with a significant fraction of international sales she uses something as credibility busting as Dizzee R when she has already used enough gimmicks to try to resuscitate her career that her own credibility is already thoroughly shafted.
  4. When 'host' was being mentioned i was thinking initially you were talking about a new server for hosting buzzjack on or something.  ANYWAY thanks for all your work, very interesting, valuable (eg the convenience (time/effort saved) of having all the info together eg consistently highly reliable, accurate + comprehensive) + enjoyable info.Having free, open access to such info seems pretty exclusive that i'll visit the forum if only for info from this thread + nothing else (like just now!). :)
  5. Currently ANY version of 'The Silence' is not in the iTunes top 300 - surely by now (unless the release date has been put forward?) some interest would be filtering down to the original which has been available since initial album release? Given so, how rare/exceptional circumstances is it for PHYSICAL singles sales ALONE to get a song so high in the chart? XF performances aren't guaranteed 100% success chart topping success even with past winners/contestants. Apart from the odd exception, this thread has had its common sense/chart knowledge slaughtered by wishful thinking imo :(
  6. Such unfeasible ironyhttp://209.85.12.227/431/162/emo/rotfl.gif of the figurative implication to the current telling state of her Pop career Given the rare few Brit fanatics that posses enlightment,an understanding of objectivity and an IQ above that of your average goldfish http://209.85.12.227/431/162/emo/wink.gif who believe the album she is working on (which is taking previously unheard of lengths of time to complete given that she basically has negligible input into her work whether that be writing, producing or deciding on the final track list - as per usual Jive propaganda for the the brain dead not withstanding) that such is her insufferable boredom of the whole process + repeated delays from planned schedule release dates, there will never be real release date for this project......

Without intending to personally offend, this post MUST win the most waste of Server Hard Drive space award for this thread. The EXCEPTIONALLY DRASTIC (though not surprising given the recent past) results alone for Joe this week need no explanation to what it UNEQUIVOCALLY means for his future realtionship with Syco/Monster "Endless comedic behaviour with his Beards" Cowell. :snif:
  8. Good job fate never decided to make you a Kylie loon (like someone i know), ESPECIALLY the first couple of years of her chart career, THAT really was constant #2s (just broken by that occasional AWKWARD #1 http://209.85.12.227/431/162/emo/frustration.gif) http://209.85.12.227/431/162/emo/wink.gif

Also there may be a slight chance his vocals authentically recreating that aural raping sound of CASTRATED CHIPMUNKS put a couple of people off but thats only a wild guess, of course http://209.85.12.227/431/162/emo/wink.gif. He makes 'Dildo', sorry i meant 'Bieber' sound masculine FFS! Credit to your skill of chart prediction 'Brooke x' though sorry at your dissapointment on its fruitition regardless of my oposite OPINION on joe. Down to #10 iTunes ALREADY!.... I can almost HEAR that Syco statement; :heehee: http://s17.rimg.info/d59811445e14db4bfd40bc363638faa1.gif SPOILSPORT! NEGATIVE THINKER! DOWNER! etc etc http://209.85.12.227/431/162/emo/wink.gif Start a FB campaign to STOP JOE getting a/making a mockery of the TOP 10 combined with make sure POOOR http://s5.rimg.info/afe536472a44cd2e4c9130ae37500f1e.gif Pixie goes top 10 (she will DIE of sadness if she doesn't get top 10 etc etc) No thats called Cowel (as genuine as his endless stream of Beards (which are totally pointless since Cowel (with that EGO) is the only to believe hes still in a highly effective secret closet http://209.85.12.227/431/162/emo/rotfl.gif - the irony of the most well known/notorious "closet case" along with Joe pre damage limitation Sun "exclusive" AKA lying out of backside to wring/invent as much integrity as he could for himself after equally shallow, vacuous + attention seeking boyfreind blabbed to press(in attempt to lift own career of ground,NATURALLY  ) having ever increasing malignant/Machiavellian holding the media by the balls - one negative squawk with the concepts of 'Joe' + 'Flop' and the indescribable pain of a ball being yanked sharply from the body aka financial throat slitting/suicide for those involved from the omnipotent + omnipresence Cowel empire. This is being discussed on DS - is it not bizarre that given the mid weeks, last year's winner, with a prime promotional shot on the show is no where near the #1 + NO negative media (organizations as opposed to personal comments on a forum)/comments/remarks? Whats more his sales are going to be even more shockingly bad given various chart indicators suggesting sales are actually collapsing increasingly throughout the week + STILL NOT ONE Media outlet, not even just ONE of the tabloids, who would sell their mother to flog extra copies of their rag, have suggested anything the slightest negative (that is the real situation for Jo in relative terms) to create some publicity and sales - the opposite in fact as positive propaganda/hyperbole/BLATANT BARE FACED LIES that an example of which is pointed out in the above quote - does Cowel really have such degree of gestapo like control and annihilation of free speech in the UK ??? :nocheer:
  10. ima posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
You most certainly ARE NOT seeing things, as both charts above clearly indicate. Indeed experienced/knowledgeable members expect further slumping down the chart as the week progresses (see previous posts in this thread). Nowt surprising for such an aborted foetus of a project, especially since reports suggest Joe seems less + less the poor victim of Cowel being actively engaged in deception by his own choice to further his career

You better not let the gestapo like fanatics here that, such brazen negativity based on such FACTS will require severe torture + death at LEAST. No negatives (ESPECIALLY if based on FACTS) AT ALL are allowed about 'Jo' on his forum(or anywhere else if they can help it),the officially designated moderation team there(picked from the most insane + zealous of gestapo fanatics)ensure all responsible for uttering even the slightest negative against their leader are silenced TERMINALLY... http://s19.rimg.info/d466fbf4a6ee6f15a4b830a521e3958a.gif

See BB code help: [utube]videoID[/utube] 'Utube' write as 'Youtube' videoID =K8B6TXBST8E for "McFly feat. Taio Cruz" K8B6TXBST8E Despite all the fanatics early declarations of how popular they still are and how widespread their appeal have become (whole families generations incl. toddlers + Gran/Granddad where singing along to McPorns culturally mark leaving monster hits at their recent public performances) and how much chart stability their new sound would have in the charts....'Party Girl' ended spending 3 whole weeks in the top 40 (chart run 6-13-32-out) at least as bad (if not worse given how much more stable the nature of the single chart tends to be since McPorns time http://209.85.12.227/431/162/emo/rotfl.gif http://209.85.12.227/431/162/emo/rotfl.gif http://209.85.12.227/431/162/emo/rotfl.gif Oh but they cleaned up there act say their sympathisers say, they don't do any of that gimmicky ringtone cheating ( as shouted (having their puppet strings YANKED by the Record co.) repeatedly at their audience to encourage their participation) to boost there first week sales anymore.Unfortunately they just exchanged one gimmick to inflate unfairly their sales for another. Of course there's porn in pop its part of the entertainment ( a sexy image) but the sheer degree to which McPorn have this time round used porn to promote themselves (as awesomely good shape as they are + as pleasurable as it may be) with the i expect, purposefully made mini movie to catch the censorship's eye, its more like they are porn stars who use tunes in their routine, the music gets next to no attention in comparrison. Personally imo given the failure of 'Party girl' in the current chart climate (it didn't even reach its equivalent high of chart level from their leads 2 years ago) it looks like it was just a one off nostalgic hit from old fans.I can't see any crossover/promotion benefit between a weedy embarrassing pop group from years ago who are now actively seeking a gay audience to the Neanderthal alpha male hetero image Taio's Rec co. have blatantly  manufactured for him to fit into the 2-dimensional limited scope of commercial rap( + related etc) though naturally I can easilly understand behind the chalk + cheese nature of these 2 acts (+contradicting his manufactured image) Taio's personal interest in the group  So i'll expect them to be going back to dumper as swiftly as they returned, however, as boyband turned porn stars i think they could have a much more successful career ahead of them especially as straight guys they seem to have no problems performing to men.

OH! THE TRAGEDY (+ i'm not just talking about the 'tune' or the dull granddad 'performers' ) 'Shame' is STILL @ #3 on the iTunes chart behind Bruno ( a song actually being bought for its musical worth rather than (very) desperate (40? Gobbie look more like 50! in the vid), cheap + tacky fantasy fodder ) ! http://209.85.12.227/431/162/emo/rotfl.gif The gigantic pop heard worldwide on Sunday evening will be Gary's ego being pricked - the realization that his solo career was no fluke bad luck - he really is that bad an 'entertainer' (read  ) + song writer - he can't even get NEAR #1 with Robbie's help . With any luck he'll never want to perform again + Take That will disband PERMANENTLY (unless they run out of $$$$ and do the 2030 OAP comeback tour http://s4.rimg.info/73d434b353275255e2429fb68141b812.gif)

You can't make the public buy something if they can't see the value of it for them, even with the hype. So are you honestly saying the thought/possibly never occurred to you that it was 'the emperors new clothes' pure HYPE that marked out this track's worthiness for immense commercial success, not the actual reality - being the majority think the track has no such merit and is dull + insipid to the degree no matter how famous the singers they would not waste their money or time on such a non event. Exactly the same pattern has been seen in the Airplay; it quickly peaked, many heard it BUT they did not want to hear it any more and its audience + plays have dropped consistently since to the point this week that it has FALLEN behind a +MONTH old airplay track + the actual champion of the charts, the genuinely PUBLIC adored music of Cee lo blasted over Shame last week and this week has accelerated ahead in leaps + bounds in term of greater airplay as the audience (in complete contrast to Shame) feed positive feedback to radio - they want to keep hearing the track + more frequently, at the same time wanting shame to buried SIX FEET under ASAP! As for TV after the debut position plays collapsed- it BOMBED down the chart at an unprecendented rate given the alleged star power of the singers, left the chart COMPLETELY 2(3?) week later - its the perfect match for the song dull, non entertaining, forgettable (as if Brokeback Mountain hasn't been satirizes endlessly(+more wittily)countless times before)

I don't know why, but I find your posts extremely un-attractive, so I'm unable to read them. :arrr: Well since the mods share your opinion (as shown by the link back in your quote of mine), its unlikely you'll ever come across them. Whats more if i continue to post at any frequency, it looks like i'll just end up needlessly making additional work for the mods AGAIN + i wouldn't expect to even have an account here next week, THEN you can be rest assured , while at BJ, you will never have to come across such degree of ugly posting again. If you did know the reason(s) for my posts un-attractiveness (possible since my mind has traits/ been through experiences of such rare occurrence among a general population) it might help me understand why to avoid such offence or allow me to realize something i've simply not considered (the ramifications of etc) before. PS. O/T ;) Naturally i've been looking around physical single sales on the web with Kylie + GOMW last week and i'm not so sure R + G will have huge physicals at least not to the 'Kylie degree'.

+1 They've got quite a few currently in the top 300: 112. Viva la Vida.Only coldplay could create such chart history with their magnitude of album sales they've built up over the years with their consistent but evolving material 250. The Scientist. THE most awesome song + vid combination. One of the most awesome songs. One of the most awesome pop vids i have experienced - seeing it for the first time and the disturbing gut wrenching of the final revelation  260. Yellow. Another of their endless stunning/emotive vids (thus matching Chris' voice  )Thats what i call romantic notion.

*prays* he'll beat the "you're getting boring, oh so boring + i don't recognize the zombie you've turned into" ones.Even though the official Shame (THE irony of the title vid, for feeding endless critical puns) was i think only released a week before Kylies GOMW, + STILL its not exactly racing ahead of hers in views though given its indescribable boredom + high brow innovative humour ( the brokeback mountain "satire" never before attempted in the history of comedy) thats not much of a compliment to Kylie's effort. Given the 'timeliness' of the LTWYL vid i'd expect the new vid will be out just before Xmas ;) and will equally BORING :( PS.Is it my atrocious short term memory or has Kylie's (some flash in the pan/ 1 hit wonder countless smugly assured themselves back then contradicting my observances (her mind among other talents, essential for long term success) pop tart from the 80's) ATL risen up the (iTune's)chart significantly ( perhaps 10 or even 20 places) recently? + If so what reasons (if any) would explain it? Cheers.

The irony! http://www.myemoticons.com/images/emotions/happy/too-funny-1.gif Reality mimicking a cheesy twink porn staple (well the bits that reality could actually mimic, anyway). Inane political correct aside, in practise can there be much life in such a 'concept' - any group 'friction' could end up making the cat fighting in girl group look like a pinic surely?
  20. ima posted a post in a topic in Pop and Country
I don't think the songs cheesyness (though it may be a boy band staple) have that much of an influence on attracting such a very specific group of teenage girls- given the never ending, GOD UNBELIEVABLE/AWFUL stream of tuneless, bland,. hook free dirges http://www.erasureforum.com/images/smilies/icon_yikes.gif with which Take That built such ( but still tellingly only from specifically the original demographic) popularity (and no surprise their absolute sh!t excuse for pop had an equally stunning lack of success in comparrison, outside the UK). The abomination of cynicism + integrity free PR that was M*Fly :nocheer: didn't have typical boy band music(?) well apart from being the usual same monstrous lame crap obviously.Regardless of whether their music is any good or not, as already mentioned in this thread, by complete coincidence, they just happen to have a massive pre/teen 100% female following - when is music appeal ever so divisive? Tonnes of freebies (AKA sexual/psychological manipulation) Its just random chance that ALL five adult men just happen to have the same "non - threatening" appearance most popular with their target demographic? The guys complaining about the groups appeal have to remember the group is tightly conceived/manufactured to appeal to a very specific psychological profile rather than a group where on average there is no such specific "type" of appeal, its naturally random. ......and now we have a new first in boyband cynicism level reached, in our current Victoria 'inane level OCD' Bullmiakham inspired/ X factor etc fuelled, fame for fame's sake, fame above all else (integrity, morals, compassion - screw them all, to get that shot of fame) culture. Sell your souls to the record company for that fame and use any and all means to take advantage of one of the most vulnerable groups of society - school girls with their impossible to ignore sexual/emotional fantasy drives being raked senseless over with endless intimations of the availability/personal caring romantic nature etc etc from ALL the boyband members at their career start.

SHE STILL BEAT HER :cheer: just LIKE Kylie BEAT her to a FIRST achieving 2 Million selling album by a FEMALE SOLO act in the UK,with DEBUT "Kylie" :cheer: - "True Blue" NEARLY sold 2 million BUT DIDN'T (currently STILL few 10k short)

Don't be ridiculous! Where have you been for the last few years of the UK chart's nature/chart act positions - under a rock?! What has quality got to with the 48th (Silver Rocketâ„¢) single on chart placing (unless U R the 'Black Eyed Peas' of course) - whether its ease of access to (random) album tracks or that Chart music has so much more competition from the different forms of entertainment around today (so less of the 'pie') that a nth single from the same album no longer has enough potential consumers left to make it much of a hit regardless. I mean 'we've' only discussed it to death on buzzjack about 1000000 times - but i guess this is one of the disadvantages of having goldfish cerebra. :)
