Well it seems you have already made a mistake saying she wasn't in the list last year as according to the OP she was top 60 last year and she was Ms Trainwreck extrordinaire then which with such lack of popularity would make it more difficult for even an online campaign to succeed, aswell as the fanbase itself being contracted. If you actually look at the album performances when other big (pop) acts tour (AND there is NO concurrent mega successful album boosting single release eg some britney fans have mistakenly assumed it was Pink's tour that increased her album sales dramatically but the increase is actually directly in sync with the release and peaking of the single "Please Don't Leave Me") you will see the reality is that albums rarely benefit from tours ( they consolidate fan bases IF they are perceived successful/expectations are fulfilled, of course), even indirectly as whoever would interested in such an averagely impacting/selling album would have already bought it by now - only some HUGE MEGA selling single from the album will get it to sell anything significant again. Well i imagine its no coincidence GA have got a lot to be jealous of currently; We discussed endlessly on here how as the Download era has developed that going top 10 with a third etc single for established artists is history - OK, Vadge might be trying to go for the most deluded egotistic personality award now but still for her to barely scrape into the top 40 with her 3rd single given her chart history has got to say something.Even GA can't change such chart trends - i think its a better way for the top 10 run to end (if it does) - at least U can believe the run might have continued otherwise. Beyond that consider how well the album has done especially as it is a Pop album - there tends to be a cost for such success for established acts - dimished post album single success but thats much prefered by the Rec co. of course. But imo the rarest/valuable thing GA have is that certain degree of credilbility - displayed in their consistant album success - that most other pop acts just don't have, even some that have been around longer than GA have

She always seems to be pregnant around the time of the album release promo shots! So she ballasted all artistic pretensions to try to resuscitate her dying career and is going for mainstream pop stardom and imo ( and only that)its the visual aspect as well as the aural that creates the entertainment.Seriously given the magic popstar glamour wand ( that i 'learnt about' from Kylie saying all the time how ( even depressingly occasionally) average, ordinary and unglamorous she really looks behind all the "sticky tape, smoke + mirrors" ). Kelly COULD be as glamorous or "visually exciting" to be less conventionally constrictive as the next pop star but again mere personal subjectivity i can still barely remember what she looks like, for the purpose of contrast could you say the same for Lady Gaga whether or not you like her music or EVEN HER? Prediction; If only the song had been called "Sucks" (Kelly's new song 'sucks'....etc ) *sign* tis a cruel world to be so deprived of such a trivial source of amusement :( - it may have got to #1 but the sales weren't very impressive compared to what we are used to in the upper sales ranks now PLUS it had non of the sales stability that lead singles often enjoy is this current download era.Regardless the album is enjoying infinitely more success/stability that the previous (not that that is much of a complement ;) )who knows what the impact 'I Do Not Hook Up' could have.Don't expect 'I Do Not Hook Up' to be a huge flop but neither do i expect it to be a huge hit - like her image it may end up just being forgotten despite not flopping - naturally not ideal for album sales. Obviously no-one should give a cr*p what i think but for a positive observation, in general, KC fanatics still have never been anywhere near the irritation factor of "Britney fanatics" just like KC is infinitely above the pointless, WHOLLY manufactured puppet of Brit, that now with a life changing chronic illness CAN'T EVEN perform ,dance or sing to even an unremarkable average level that she easilly surpassed before.
