"E=MC²" [UK #3, US #1]
Well, if you substitute wishful thinking for fact based chart analysis it does as you will find when you look at the final position of the album this week. If its any consolation those that do rationally observe the chart have noted an especially high number of new entries in this weeks album chart which might account for an even lower number than expected for the album from its sharp sales decline alone.

UK Chart Information - Singles & Albums
     :heehee: :nocheer:  YE GODS! It like the blind leading the blind! Only here could such a CLUELESS,IGNORANT, DUMB + VACUOUS statement be made on A CHART FORUM of all places - the IRONY is just too much. How is it possible to have any respect in posting chart info to support your beliefs when you STILL don't have a clue that CERTIFICATIONS ARE NOT BASED ON SALES TO THE PUBLIC

New Release Schedule (Physical): Monday 28 April
Granted it could have been some graphic nightmare ( +hopefully it was) but i'm sure i heard ( + worse saw the photographic evidence http://s.rimg.info/3f80eddacfafe4bf8150dede314717ac.gif ) that New Kids on the Block were reforming - given that imo any of these soul destroying, manufactured w*nking fodder efforts could return to bring suffering again to fans of pop *MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT* ....next up Bros comeback http://s4.rimg.info/73d434b353275255e2429fb68141b812.gif

Break The Ice - RELEASED TODAY!
I was being s-a-t-i-r-i-c-a-l about the blatantly obvious already to the majority, for the sake of entertainment. No amount of forum moderation will change people's perception of 'you' unless you delete the entire forum and never comment on ANYTHING again :yahoo:

The 4th Single Is....
Off course you're all clamouring to comment that Britneys ideas and execution for the GM video produced such an aborted foetus of a project that Jive would only publically release an 'edited' *coughs* 'version' which itself still managed to be an abominable specticle to behold to those possessing objectivity and sanity.

PREDICT: Kylie Minogue - In My Arms
*coughs* notice anything familiar about by PN? ( + the date of membership assuming no name change) I'm not that insane that i would ever suggest that IMA more than a millionth as good as CGYOOMH *but* given the reactions here and that this post hasn't been biased by an infiltration of Kylie loons ( so naturally discount my opinion - i hope top10) isn't the almost universal positive remarks this songs got so far quite unusual (?) - i mean there were even some people (like me!) that didn't SUBJECTIVELY ever think cgyoomh would have been a big hit never mind being the biggest record of her career by far (though i could guess from the reaction 'everbody' else was giving it) ie even the most universally loved tunes there are a minority to whom they don't appeal. I don't think its done anything spectacular overall with its europe release APART from going briefly top 10 in France and Germany (but i doubt X sold anything in those markets) which has only happened to her most popular lead/pre-album singles after the 80's in these countries. IMO its the opposite of the previous toe curlingly trite and too cheesified single which i had ranked with the 3/4 trks of the album i rarely bother with listening time...clearly that didn't stop it being popular *but* such a track didn't really, unsurprisngly to me, get people to buy an imagined album full of stuff like that - an album generally needs stability in its later life as weekly sales are small - perhaps Wow although popular has prematurely killed off the album - then again perhaps you can't expect more given her album history. Whether you like IMA or not you can't say it all sounds like something heard it a million times before + extremely cheesey (its still a pop song designed to have comercial appeal/ ie something familiar to the many) in the way Wow does, in IMA the beat, the sounds, the spoken parts (that sound ANIMATED ie not sounding like someone on tranqs - oK so 'she' probably was on them in hindsight ;) ) have much more inspiring + originality by comparison - i noticed on the first listens on the last bridge when you expect the chorus to follow, instead the music breaks for another spoken part  I think Biff Standard (the main guy behind this - hes worked with diff teams of guys over time but he is the constant) is definately one of the best Pop song writers/producers we've had, of course way beyond Kylie i genuinely thought that unlike boybands,at least the Spice girls came out with memorable, well produced POP and he was the real creative force behind many of them. If you haven't looked at the songs he's been behind you might be surprised - i love some of his material with less famous artists too, they may not have had the comercial clout/exposure but the tunes themselves are still quality and well produced.

Britney Goes Out To Dinner With Her Dad - 16/2
As usual i ask you to stop making dangerous, false and ignorant statements that are merely serving to satisfy your irrational obssessional fanaticism and READ some decent quality information on mental illness/bipolar polar disorder if you really do give a t*ss about Britney's welfare and people who suffer from mental illness - you can't start doling out such diagnosis after a few weeks "Dr.Tyler" in such circumstances. Her parents are the ones that haven't been medically certified and they know that nothing less than 24hr institutionalization gives their daughter a decent chance of survival. I KNOW, i've been 'their' like Britney - close to death from acute mental illness.

Chart commentary by gooddelta
I don't know if you think this is worth mentioning or even makes any difference but just in case, its been mentioned in the "WOW" topics a few times now and unsuprisngly its blaring off the page on Kylie.com - your talk about the "physical" release of WOW today imo as if the download "officially" has already been released - IT HASN'T (the past few wks chart position has been people dl the "unpackaged" album trk ALONE). Both the physical and download are getting released together today. Thanks.

iTunes Download Chart February 2008
It will flop WRETCHEDLY as usual, CAN'T WAIT! Just LOOK HOW far and swiftly there album fell after Xmas :yahoo: :cheer:  , now that Xmas has gone only people with a real interest in music (rather that using a musical product as a basis for their fantasies) are buying albums - that means the insipid, integrity free pap of westsh!te doesn't get a look in - don't forget they'll be getting too old for "fantasy inspiration" soon and their seemingly endless blight on the intergrity of the music chart will be easilly forgotton and erased from music history such is their complete absense on impact on pop culture and people who value and enjoy music for the music itself and not as a desperate means to get off :puke2:

Kylie's chances of a high peak position??/
PARDON!? It sounds awful and cheap on the radio anyway - so what's the difference ;) Unlike some people who get their leopard fur trimmed panties in a knot with this release - why bother - its when she releases records like this all the time that a heart attack is needed, i can forgive her this release since by the nature of her career 2Hs was a risk which she at least took although it may not have worked out (with out any risks you wouldn't get anywhere ie not a 2 decade career) - mind you the album still sold well/consistently before wows stabilizing effect considering how her albums normally fare with the success of the lead single.

Kylie's chances of a high peak position??/
THANKYOU for stating the FACTS Wow is not getting any of its formats officially released till next mon... MY GOD are there some BLOODY IGNORANT people on this thread, opening their mouths and letting their belly's rumble (as usual). While in theory there should be no difference to downloading as an album track or an officially released download single ,in practice there is eg do people seem to like things to be blatantly pointed out? Releasing download and physical together might produce a better more visible peek i mean SG might have got their single into the top 10 with the same strategy. EXACTLY! The FAN BASE are completely divided on this trk - HOWEVER THE GENERAL PUBLIC aren't and they're the ones that make a single a big hit NOT the fan base.

Sugababes New Video & Song Alert
Exactly but U R the only one to make this crucial point so far...sometimes i wonder if i am really on a chart forum or not. Their album has sold EVEN more over the Xmas period (since last single release) therefore its likely the potential buyers of this single HOWEVER GOOD it is will be reduced further still than the last single(since they now already own it on the album). That the album has done so well ..........p!sses all over how this single performs , its not unlikely it will flop relatively for them though it still might squeeze out a few more album sales which is the point. Only the Kylies of the UK single chart can expect a top 10 position with a strong tune after an album has sold in such quantities but that imho has got more to do with her HUGE hardcore fanbase/collectors that she steadilly built up over two decades of consistant hit making + touring with 2 generations of fans that feverently buy what ever she releases - OBVIOUSLY this is something the sugababes don't or ever will have such is the rarity of a pop star having the chart life Kylie has had. You'll notice even if Kylie does get such a single into the top 10 the week later it drops like a stone because the market for it in the general public is saturated with the sales of the album, in any case given that a few singles have already been released its likely the album will seem a much more economical purchase to buy the new single with other appealing tracks and the potential chance of other album trks appealing rather than just buying the song on the single format. I mean come on the line up for the sugababes has changed to a point beyond credibility - clearly the interchangebility of the members seems to have little relation on performance/appeal - imho they just a interchangable front for the team of talented writers and producers behind them - like many of StockAitkenWaterman "artists" in the 80's - how likely would Kylie have had the same career if 'Kylie' kept being played/replaced by other totally unrelated women (without the experience of the former, or even having the ability to learn from mistakes, change + grow of the original?)

New Release Schedule (Physical): Monday 11 February
YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY ONE!....Andy can't wait either! (well, afterall he must still be keeping his 'career' going somehow) ;) I realize its not easy but could you fancy him without buying his record releases? Cheers!

Torchwood [Series 2]
If you have had the misfortune to attempt reading any of my posts you'll know grammar isn't by forte but *pedant alert* shouldn't it be "worse" after the even - or are you revealing your true objective thoughts and it was a genuine freudian slip? Toshwood has to be one of the most heinious creations masquering as witty sci-fi in the entitre history of television - i can only hope that as young men in a culture still infected by ludicrous ROTFPMP religious dogma that can unfairly represent your sexuality, eg in a show such as this - that that is the sub-concious appeal of the prog (wholely understandible) rather than the piece of garbage that is the show itself and the writting, that produces the folllowing CLASSIC EMBARRASMENTS (unless some viewer have mistakenly reported this, naturally i've seen too much of it already < a few mins > for a thousand lifetimes): 1) One of the characters has impenitrable skin yet has/wears pierced ears/ear rings 2) The phone network goes down YET the whole of the internet remains ONLINE and UNAFFECTED http://s.rimg.info/eff693a60a762abbbb8ecca7001adef9.gif + NO!, the Star Treks and X-files NEVER have plot holes to this degree.....

New Release Schedule (Physical):Monday 21 January
QUOTE(Knightr634 @ Jan 19 2008, 04:35 PM) And has Kylie's Wow moved forward a week, or is it me? I'm not saying U R wrong but why/what way bad? Someone said it was too late for the original release date a week or 2 back. My thoughts; Already Top 6 airplay this week. The longer it sells trickle download (currently in the lower 20's) - could affect peak sales and initial promotion from singles position? ALBUM (most important for making £££) - The further away the release of the single and its intensist promotion the lower X could fall down the chart and this usually means its more difficult for the album to bounce back up to the top of the chart for significant extra sales eg given time of year rel poor album sales means that although Brits blackout bounded back up the chart its still selling jack sh!t in terms of platinum album sales (if your objective is to go over 100K it might be useful but for such a pop act with such high a promotional budget + history its pathetic imo)

Predict: Janet Jackson - "Feedback"
Well 'thisispop' i'm not hearing the usual run of accusations this time, like "a tad drastic".... i wonder why?. JJ fans probably have enough exposure to fans of MICHAEL "Bounces baby in arms, without use of bed, safety mat or EVEN F**CKING FLOOR <unless you call that thin grey strip of pavement 100's ft below suitabley safe accidental drop protection>" JACKSON to make them suitabley barmy.....

Predict: Janet Jackson - "Feedback"
Given that the FLOPOMETER is now on full tilt for the track in discussion, in reply to the op; http://s10.rimg.info/26a14267f4ed52d8873abcf7788ccc60.gif "Drastic Cynosure"?????? "Drastic PREDICTION" more like - i couldn't even vote properly in the poll, it didn't have a position for outside of the top 40. Clearly reading a UK based chart forum gives you little insight into the popularity/accross the board (public/media) appeal of a star you seem to have considerable interest in (just like kids from the US who follow Britney are clueless to the fact the only people in the UK that care about Brit is the odd closeted fan-obssesed teenager - i mean look at the pathetic Radio support of the current single no-one PUBLICALLY,openly admits liking Britney or else it would be goodbye real friends, goodbye social life etc. etc.) OR (being unable to remember your past posts) you suffer from HOPELESS fanatical delusion. SHe hasn't had a significant HIT since the start of the decade (neither has Whitney but a least she has the excuse of being busy as a crack whore so not actually releasing anything to show how what a hasbeen she is).Janet has never had the MASS cultural impact that Kylie and Madonna have in the UK even when they are flopping (which has never been as severe as Janet 2000-decade flop age).Perhaps the fact the sheer number of MEGA huge hit singles that Kylie + Madonna have each in their back catalogue even up to recent times completely DWARVES that of Janets UK back catalogue - indeed she hasn't even had one HUUGE seller this decade ( 'IDRM' + 'All for you' only managing 1 wk in the top 5 before dropping to the bottom of the top 10 the next week and unremarkable chart runs out the chart). No wonder the public or media aren't interested in her anymore, moreso after years of forgetable flops (i didn't even know she released records (+ flopped) till i checked out the UK hit databases!) and inactivity, as anything other than 80/90's pop star nostalgia. PS Yes i have enjoyed Janet's fantastic music from the past - "If" was INFINITELY better than the UK chart position it achieved for example IMO.

The Box, The Hits etc.
Yeah, along with others, i've mentioned in the past Youtube for the extinction of these 'music' video channels - POP videos are after all just that, generally not fully packed with $$$$ computerized SFX that look good on the big screen (eg $h!t (imo ) like Superman Returns if purely eye candy with no plot or acting ability floats your boat) perhaps some people aren't that bothered about quality on Youtube as opposed to the range of choice and ease of accessability of that range, it gives - these now archronistic pop vid channels just can't compete with that sort of SLEDGE HAMMER appeal imo. The astute suggestion of the request cost of these channels compared to the actual price of POP video purchase now must also be a resounding death knell for these channels.

Spears 'may not live to next Christmas'
WOW! A Britney fan without his head stuck in the sand NOT expecting the usual enabler line 'SHE WILL GET BETTER WITOUT A DOUBT!' as opposed to a Professional who actually DOES have a CLUE about mental illness stating the relative INCREASED CHANCE of SUICIDE from observed (rather than soley media written reported) behaviour eg VT of her hitting car incident. A psychologist is not like a MD that needs the physical presence of (or the results of physical tests on ) the patient to make an acceptable diagnosis.Psychology only needs behaviours (eg drug abuse = a secondry symptom from the patient trying to manage the primary syptoms of the mental illness itself but actually negative at best delays chance of recovery in the long run) to make a diagnosis so the patient doesn't need to be present to match symptoms to an illness - eg. her observed behaviour ( as oposed to something that has no cross referenced support - purely ficticous media story) such as shaving all her hair off make the general consensus she has Manic depression (Bipolar -opposite EXTREME mood swings) rather than STR8 depression - AND of course suicide is a possibility for someone who has gone through such a LONG TERM personality and behaviour change AND HAS A FAMILLY HISTORY OF POST-NATAL DEPRESION/SUICIDE (maternal grandparent i think? never got better, suffered for years untill actual suicide) - you would be a deluded idiot to suggest her likely risk is NOT much greater than it used to be - MENTAL illness still has a higher degree of unpredictability/uncertainty more so than physical illnesses in general eg. direct link to emotional environmental events - their isn't a smooth recovery curve rather relapses and remissions without being taught the knowledge and skills to manage the condition and reduce the chance going round in endless circles of acutely bad mental health . As seen as i regularly meet psychologists as a patient its easy to get their views and views of their peers on related media events eg the McCanns are generally accepted to be diagnosed as Narcistic Sociopaths(without ever speaking to them or accessing any reports on their psychology) which explains how they managed to be involved in the Portuguese police's belief that they covered up of the accidental death of their own daughter yet remained so free from any displays of guilt. Of course i don't know what sources this physciatrist is using for his diagnosis and although it matches with the general consensus of Psychologists who have a a view on Brits mental state this particular bloke *may* be using his views primarily as a way to promote his own name. So Gary why you at least, UNLIKE EVERY OTHER FANATIC here, consider the possibility of the suggestions of this article to some degree, if something so serious did happen to her you should at least(besides the grief etc) have a guilt free conscience knowing you were not one of the countless ENABLERS sending out the message her behaviour is NORMAL + ACCEPTABLE because they're selfishly more concerned about loosing their star by her leaving the music biz to concentrate getting her health back with years of therapy + life restructure ( the worst fanatics are now saying they LOVE her new behaviour; illegally damaging others people's property, being a Mom who doesn't care enough about her kids to attend hearings (or take drugs tests on time because she was "asleep" ), not only stealing property but flaunting the evidence etc). Of course Brit has to want the Help in the first place to know its there + why, rather than being told what to do BUT if everyone including these fanatics around her tells her her behaviour is fine or worse BETTER than before what incentive does she have to seek help? (Oh i forgot there's nothing wrong with her so why does she need help, anyway? :manson: )

Old Radio 1 playlists - anyone interested in seeing them?
Thanks for sharing, interesting stuff- i've not seen these anywhere else on the web before ( + i do get around). I noticed that abomination of sheer FALSENESS and unaturality to human adult life ST**S, appeared, at least, on the C-list... And i was under the notion R1 had some cut off point when it came to levels of decency :nocheer:

Sales and this weekends album chart.....
 Since WL's pattern for the last few albums has been sell loads at Xmas but with a short shelf life afterwards (with RELATIVE flop singles/few further post album release singles at all), i wonder what sort of sales they'd manage well away from Xmas - Xmas being a time when traditionally sales are boosted by those that buy exclusively at this time, more frequently with lesser knowledge of chart music and/or bought were the actual music content is irrelevent or not heard by the buyer eg bought for a present that one buys for another out of habit/'cos the receiver normally likes the group etc. I can see how WL with their cynically excessively manufactured down to the endless cheesey smiles and sexually manipulative deceits ( Mark was promoted as available and STR8 initially :puke2: ) - rigid formula appeal to such buyers especially when some people get older they become less tolerant of change and cling on to the familiar.
