Gerrard is always the man for the big games, awesome once again! I must say Lescott has suprised me so far, I've never rated him that much but he's been brilliant. Hopefully Rooney should be sharper after a good 85 minutes tonight. As for the disallowed goal, 1. It was offside anyway and 2. Remember Lampard against Germany? These things level out and its about time England had a bit of luck 3. We have gone through and won the group anyway.

H/T Croatia 0-0 Spain H/T Italy 1-0 Ireland At the moment Italy top the group on goals scored with Spain going through second. Am I the only that's REALLY confused here? I'm swear Spain have scored more and have a better goal difference. EDIT: Oh its goals scored in the head-to-heads between Italy, Spain and Croatia

Don't get me started with the mindf*** that is Group B! Tonight Czech Republic won the group with a goal difference of -1 and Russia were eliminated by +2. Their points totals were different of course but I did find it interesting.

The emotions I went through in that game.. that's why I love football so much! Another fantastic thing is the fact that you don't know who Rooney would come in for right now!

Very happy with that, the only criticism I have is that Walcott should have been brought on earlier imo.

Ridiculous sending off, don't think either of those fouls were yellow cards. Poland are playing well and apparently we're after their goalscorer.

I believe that is the plan. I would prefer Jagielka as the right back if we're not going to have another proper right back tbh.
  10. The performances can change everything, I remember after Azerbaijan performed last year I said to my friend 'I'll tell you now they'll win it' and I didn't like Cyprus at all until their performance in the semi, anyway here's mine: 01 Sweden 02 Italy 03 Denmark 04 Serbia 05 Russia 06 Ukraine 07 Romania 08 Ireland 09 Cyprus 10 Norway 11 Greece 12 Estonia 13 Turkey 14 United Kingdom 15 Spain 16 Iceland 17 Azerbaijan 18 Germany 19 Moldova 20 France 21 Macedonia 22 Bosnia-Herzegovina 23 Malta 24 Albania 25 Hungary 26 Lithuania
  11. Each way bets (£2) on Sweden, Russia, Italy, Ireland, United Kingdom, Cyprus and Denmark. If two of them finish in the top 3 then I'll make a profit! I think the first three are a decent possibility but Ireland and UK are out of fun and hope and Cyprus and Denmark gave me a good feeling after their semi final performances so their odds appealed to me.

So Woy has brought in a right back as back-up as some players are have been given time to rest so FINALLY its a chance for....................... Martin Kelly  :banghead: <<<< Micah Richards right now EDIT: Sabrina just beat me so that ruined that.
  13. I think someone is going to be pretty happy right now :P Pissed off that the game wasn't on TV though.
  14. Steve Clarke has resigned as well, just about every Premier League club should try and get him tbh. I personally think Liverpool getting Rafa back would be perfect! I dunno if Martinez is the right man apart from the fact he plays nice football.

That's actually because Robbie Fowler said it as a joke for not being there. Tbh whatever selection he made people would moan.

Rio has had his best season in ages yet and Terry nearly kills his side's chances of glory but he picks Terry? (probably because he can shout and say a few swear words to 'motivate') and how the hell is Downing in over Adam Johnson when Downing hasn't even had an assist all season? I really have no idea what Micah Richards has to do exactly, Josh is right even as a United fan I think he's not a great right back. If we are in trouble I don't really see any impact players in there and I think Crouch would have filled the void (or he could have even started) Carrick should at least be on the standby list, been awesome for us this season. John Ruddy and The Ox I'm happy with and I'm glad Carroll is going too.
  17. I thought they'd won a fight to keep them blue?
  18. Well when Chelsea won it they were saying the same thing and we still managed to crawl our way back from that! As long as Fergie is there then I have faith we can. It seems Fergie is looking at buying younger players rather than big names though.
  19. Meanwhile its looking increasingly likely Mitt Romney is going to be the Republican candidate and he greatly opposes gay marriage.
  20. Today he added to his Queen's Speech moments when the black rod came in: "Jubilee year, double dip recession, what a start!" http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-18003545 He is an MP who I have the utmost respect for, its ridiculous we're still doing all of this crap in this day and age! Especially as the new laws that the Queen read out include the employment laws that basically make it a lot easier for employers to sack people for no reason because you know that's just the kind of thing we need right now.
  21. To be fair I don't think doing anything different would have made a difference, City have won 17 and drawn 1 at home this season afterall. I'm directing my anger at the Blackburn, Wigan and Everton games. They are games where we SHOULD have won and we ended up losing two of them! One of them were 2 goals up with eight minutes to go and threw it away as well! Anyway this is the worst season performance-wise I've seen for 20 years yet we're somehow on 83 points and this is also after having not invested as much as other teams in the past few years as well (even Stoke have a higher net spend then us in the last few years) so it ain't all bad. *sigh* This end of the season is like 1998 all over again.
  22. A few seasons ago Hereford were 26 points ahead of the rest of the pack in 2nd in the Conference and they lost in the playoffs, that's just how it goes! I think it adds excitement at the end of the season.

Hart Richards Ferdinand Cahill Cole Parker Carrick Walcott Gerrard Young Welbeck Alternatively maybe drop Carrick and play a 4-4-2 with Crouch and Defoe, I certainly would play a 4-4-2 when Rooney is back because having him doing his usual teamwork is his strength but then again none of our strikers are really consistant goalscorers so maybe it might be an idea to swap him for Welbeck. I really, really, REALLY hope Wenger plays Walcott upfront next season, that's where he should be playing and I think he'd be much better there for England as well. Also take: Green, Carson, G Johnson, Smalling, Lescott, Baines, Lampard, A Johnson, Milner, Rooney, Defoe, Crouch Might rethink those later as there is no way you could leave Barry out but in a perfect world you'd leave out John Terry. Oxlade-Chamberlain won't be ready yet but I'm sure he'll be a big part of the qualifiers. I'm with the crowd who think the FA should really name Harry Redknapp as the coach sooner rather than later (if he is their choice that is)
  24. Yes its just an EP.
  25. That's because it being an Indie EP it does one hell of a lot better in physicals, he ain't that big (album peaked at #11 I think) but he's done better than I thought considering that The Rascals weren't that big (or that good for that matter) but he's basically rode on the fact that he's Alex Turner's mate for the last four years now! Anyway I'll get around to getting it this week, FOMK is probably the best thing he's done imo.
