That's possibly the worst line-up I've ever seen, will probably still end up watching this though!

X Factor 2011 || Live Shows - Week 10 || Le Grand Finale
There's more important things called 'albums' where they've both done pretty well ;) Actually they've both done pretty well in the albums, both doing better than Rebecca and Leona too it seems (hence why her album was delayed as she's still portrayed as the X Factor's 'golden goose') surely that's an indication they're both of female artists too? And the Saturdays not doing so well in both charts means they're bored of girl groups? The majority of the time the biggest sales boost come from the grannies and the kids hence why its crap like Buble and Westlife. :( If Adele was well enough it would have been much better having her AND Coldplay on. For the moment I still think Marcus is gonna win but I really want Little Mix to do it.

Despite Marcus being imo the worst last night he has NO chance of going. Infact I still think he's gonna win! I think Amelia should go but it'll probably be Misha.

X Factor 2011 || Live Shows - Week 8
The difference is Mary J, Madonna, Whitney and Mariah actually had this 'X Factor' that this show apparently searches for that it never seems to actually find. Plus Alexandra wasn't the most likeable personality (always came across very insincere to me) and Misha B is better than her, interesting thought there... The most important thing to remember is that the people who vote on this aren't necessarily the people who buy the records. JLS, One Direction, Olly Murs are people who people (particularly the kids) like as popstars but they didn't win. What the housewives typically vote for is different to what younger people vote for and actually buy records from. The winner very rarely goes on to do the best as an actual singer in the real world. Also no matter what people say its more about being a saturday night entertainment show then anything else so that comes into play as well.

X Factor 2011 || Live Shows - Week 8
I don't think its that all myself! The problem is her personality in general, people who were playground bullies always still have some of those traits when they're older and well the way she is, you can see that people would believe the bullying accusations made by contestants and judges. The fact that she agreed to do the sketch about her mum last week won't do her any favours either. She's the best singer there no doubt about it! But she's just not likeable and well some people are put off by popstars being utter twats and it seems to be the same thing in the X Factor. Anyway I only saw the results show as I've been out all weekend so I'll ITV player it Tuesday evening methinks.

I agree, I still think Marcus or possibly Janet will win it.

Fans of Pete Doherty, Babyshambles and The Libertines
How long have you been of fan of Pete Doherty? Don't Look Back Into The Sun was the song that really got me into The Libertines in 2003 (so around eight years) How did you become interested in him? Because of The Libertines Do you prefer him as a solo artist, or do you prefer him in babyshambles or the libertines? or do you just like all of his music? I love all of his music but The Libertines is by far and away the best music he ever did. Whats your favourite Libertines album? Up The Bracket, its my favourite album of all time as well! Whats your favourite Babyshambles album? Down In Albion, however it was full of songs that were meant to be Libertines songs and it was recorded at the height of his ongoing drug problems so it could have been a lot better. Did you like Pete's solo album? I do! I think its better than both Babyshambles albums and it reassured me that he can still write some fantastic lyrics and songs for that matter. However I do still feel that writing songs with Carl Barat did really help with perfecting the songs (Carl really isn't all that on his own mostly, the less said about the second Dirty Pretty Things album the better!) Have you ever seen Pete live? (with libertines or babyshambles) if so how was this experience? and how many times have you seen him? I've seen him twice! Once with Babyshambles at Loughbrough University Student Union in 2006 and I finally got to see The Libertines after they reformed when they played at Reading in 2010. The Babyshambles gig was a suprising experience because there was always the factor that he either might not turn up or he might be completely out of it but he was on good form that night, he played a few Libertines that got a good reaction obviously! When he stood on top of a speaker and thought about jumping, me and my friend were joking how it almost felt that him jumping and breaking our arms would be worth it. The Libertines at Reading was a truly special moment for me as I finally got my wish to my favourite band of all time! The big thing is that I consider The Libertines to be one of the biggest influences on my music taste so if I wasn't a fan of The Libertines I may not have been as enthusiastic about going to the Reading Festival every year. Have you ever meet Pete? if so how did this make you feel? I've never met him but I guess it would nice if I did someday. Has becoming a fan of Pete changed your life at all? (for example. made friends with other fans through forums or at gigs) Well I started talking to Chris. (the poster above me) on here because we were both fans of The Libertines and yeah like he said we become good real life friends from it. I do get it quite often where I talk to new people about music and then The Libertines are mentioned and it strikes a chord so I think they are a very significant band for a lot of people my age. How do you feel about his lyrics? Do you think he's a great song writer? Lyrics are a lot of the time the most important factor into me liking a song or not and Pete's lyrics are the reason I like the Libertines so much. "An ending fitting for the start, you twist and tore our love apart" from Can't Stand Me Now is a big example especially as it highlights the demise of Pete's relationship with Carl which of course led to the demise of the band. :( Are you in a band? or aspire to be a musician? if so has Pete's music been an impact on this? I'm not in a band at the moment but I do play guitar and bass (working on keyboard as well now) and The Libertines are among many people who had an impact on me wanting to learn instruments but I hate the amount of bands I see in pubs that still just want to sound like The Libertines as 1. That whole sound is a bit dated and well you're never gonna beat The Libertines with it and 2. I don't see why you should go into music just to inpersonate someone else. If I ever am in a band then I think the main impact he'll have is in emphasising the importance of the lyrics in a song.

iTunes Chart November (III)
True, how would you duet with Coldplay anyway? Surely that'd mean just mean Chris Martin! If the unlikely event that these were true I'd presume Coldplay would duet with Janet, Little Mix with Jessie J and Michael Buble with Marcus. I'd assume those three are the most likely finalists right now anyway.

..And this is why teachers and public sector workers...
Oh good GOD Take children to work to help beat strikes, says Cameron PM condemns strikes as 'height of irresponsibility', and says firms should allow parents to bring kids to work on day of action David Cameron has suggested firms should allow parents to take their children to work on the day that millions of public sector workers strike over pensions next Wednesday. The prime minister told MPs in the Commons that the industrial action scheduled for 30 November was the "height of irresponsibility" on a day that he urged members to defy the strikes to avoid inflicting "pain" on hardworking people "who pay your wages". Louise Mensch, Tory MP for Corby and East Northamptonshire, asked Cameron during prime minister's questions whether he thought people should take their kids to work with them to minimise disruption to their day. Cameron told MPs: "These strikes are going to go ahead. Everyone should be very clear about where responsibility lies. It is with those union leaders and … the party opposite … but I think she makes an important point that where it is safe to help people bring their children to work then I think organisations should do so." Tory colleagues asked Cameron a series of questions about the mass action scheduled for next week that will result in most schools being forced to close after the main education unions balloted members. He said the planned walkout by millions of teachers, civil servants and other public sector workers was a "tragedy" at a time when an "extremely reasonable" pensions offer was on the table. "It really is irresponsible, when negotiations are ongoing, to call strikes that will actually lead to the closure of most of the classrooms in our country," he said. "It's the height of irresponsibility. I have to say, what is on offer is an extremely reasonable deal – low and middle earners getting a larger pension at retirement than now, all existing accrued rights being fully protected, any worker within 10 years of retirement seeing no change in either the age they can retire or the amount they can receive. He challenged the Labour leader, Ed Miliband, to condemn the mass walkout, which he conceded would "lead to the closure of most of the classrooms in the country". "I think also it is a tragedy that it is not just the union leaders that don't understand this but the party opposite refuses to condemn these strikes." The Labour leader has previously said he thought strikes while public sector pension negotiations were still going on is a "mistake", and that strikes show a failure on both sides of the talks. Cameron suggested in a column in the Sun that the strikes lack support from public sector workers as he urged members to cross the picket line and go to work. "I'm so angry union bosses are ordering millions of public sector workers to strike next week – even while talks are under way. Most of them did not vote for this. Only a quarter of union members backed industrial action." Ballots conducted by public sector unions taking part in the action have resulted in a range of turnouts but the traditionally more moderate unions have recorded the highest proportions of members voting. While Unite had a turnout of 31%, the FDA, representing senior civil servants, including Whitehall mandarins and diplomats — which has never been on strike before – saw 81% back action on a turnout of 54%. Prospect, the civil service union, had a turnout of 52%. The Guardian reported on Wednesday that UK Border Agency staff in embassies around the world are being offered flight homes to provide cover during next week's strike. EU civil servants have backed strike calls over plans to give them a pay rise of 1.8% and increase their working week to 40 hours. The prime minister's spokesman refused to comment directly on reports that the UK Border Agency is spending public money to fly in extra immigration staff from India, South Africa and Russia. But he said: "The public would expect us to do what we can to mitigate the effect of the strikes." Cameron and Miliband also clashed over youth unemployment in the light of figures published last week that show more than 1 million 16-24-year-olds are now out of work. The Labour leader claimed Cameron regarded unemployment as a "price worth paying to protect his failed plan" and called on him to impose a tax on bank bonuses to pay for youth job creation schemes. Miliband said Cameron must change course on his economic strategy or risk a "lost generation" of unemployed youngsters becoming the symbol of his time in office. "You were warned that your strategy of cutting too far and too fast wouldn't create jobs, you were warned it wouldn't create growth and you were warned you would find it harder to get the deficit down," he said. "Isn't that exactly what has happened?" But Cameron insisted the UK was growing faster than the European average and warned that a change in approach could lead to increased interest rate rises. He added: "That is the risk that we would have with Labour's plans for more spending, more borrowing and more debt." Seriously? Can he be more out of touch?

Osbourne Unveils 'Pay To Go Faster' Motorway
Plans for a major new Government scheme to relieve congestion on some of the UK’s busiest roads have been unveiled by George Osborne. In a colossal nationwide construction project, the potential plans as part of Chancellor Osborne’s growth review will see ‘express lanes’ built alongside existing sections of motorways and A-roads, with drivers billed per journey in the new fast lane. With cash from the scheme going straight into the coffers of the private sector though, Ministers believe the potential new project will help keep the country’s road network free from a pay structure that could see many motorists driven off the road. Initially, roads earmarked for the project include the A14, a major bottleneck slowing cargo from the port of Felixstowe to the backbone of the country’s motorway network, the M1 and M6. With automatic number plate recognition keeping a watchful eye over the proposed new express lanes there’ll be no getting away with ‘wandering into’ the new congestion-free carriageway either – fines will be levied on chancing drivers who stray into the new pay lane. But with the motorist already feeling the pinch of heavy road tax and soaring fuel prices, many users of UK roads are already opposed to the new project. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Keith Peat of the Association of British Drivers said, “drivers already pay £50 billion a year in motoring taxes, of which only £7 billion goes back into motoring. Many drivers will feel we deserve the very best highways and should not have to pay extra.” Some Ministers have also expressed concern that the public could see the proposed plans as dragging Britain back towards a blanket road pricing structure as well as creating resentment in less wealthy motorists as more well-off drivers take advantage of the new lanes. Director general of the CBI, John Cridland, told the Daily Mail that the initiative should be brought forward as investors were ready to sink millions into the new scheme adding, “It is money on my members’ balance sheets that pays in return for an income in future years.” However, with recent controversy surrounding the proposal to increase the national motorway speed limit to 80 mph, this latest news regarding the ‘pay to go faster’ express lanes is unlikely to help that case for reducing congestion by raising the speed limit. The full initiative as part of the Chancellor’s growth review will be unveiled next week. Source: http://cars.uk.msn.com/news/articles.aspx?...entid=159851517 So never mind that drivers are ALREADY paying WAY too much to drive right now! I presume this won't go through but my f***ing god... Being able to drive faster if you are rich enough is possibly one of the worst 'proposals' yet from Gideon. Of course the Daily Mail want this put through asap :rolleyes:

X Factor 2011 || Live Shows - Week 7
Yeah of course that's the X Factor standard but that's still a bit too much but the trouble is they really want her to be at least in the final. I also just remembered the most cringeworthy moment of the show when they brought her Auntie on the stage! :drama:

Frankie Cocozza booted out of X-Factor
The guy is a bit of an arse and he can't sing but I think all the hate for him was a bit over the top so I wouldn't be suprised if he lashed out and/or took drugs or whatever. Some people treat the X Factor waaaaay too seriously to the point that I have seen so many people wish death on him! No one deserves that! But now that's over and done with we can get on to finding a generic female artist that only buzzjack will care about in six months and a blandy bland winner that no one will care about in two years! Oh and yeah its hardly a shock when a popstar takes drugs anyway but if the press found out then it would have been the nail in the coffin for the show I guess! Anyway I say bring back Johnny and make him do a smug rendition and ruin of That Golden Rule by Biffy Clyro :P
