Premier League predictions 13/14
1. Chelsea 2. Manchester City 3. Manchester United 4. Spurs 5. Arsenal 6. Liverpool 7. Swansea 8. Southampton 9. Everton 10. Norwich 11. West Ham 12. West Brom 13. Aston Villa 14. Fulham 15. Newcastle 16. Stoke City 17. Cardiff City 18. Hull 19. Sunderland 20. Crystal Palace Its an interesting one with the top three this year especially considering we're still on the first page and all three have been touted as the winner in these predictions already! With or without Rooney I think Chelsea have the edge over the rest and the Mourinho effect will last for at least the majority of this season. Losing Fergie is a big blow for United but I think Moyes was the right choice to succeed him, however the lack of his presence plus Chelsea & City strengthening more than him don't bode well for us. Spurs are now genuine title contenders and even without Bale should get the champions league spot but I've always been a fan of Wenger so there are still lingering doubts in my mind about that one. I've been impressed by the progression of Swansea, Southampton and Norwich over the summer and expect them to improve. Not expecting much from the promoted teams but Cardiff will easily do the best and I think they'll survive and push on from there. Others: Championship: P: Wigan, Reading, QPR (Yes all promoted clubs to go straight back up but I'd consider swapping QPR for Bolton) R: Blackpool, Doncaster, Millwall League One: P: Bristol City, Brentford, Peterborough R: Coventry, Shrewsbury, Gillingham, Carilisle League Two: P: Chesterfield, Fleetwood, Scunthorpe, Oxford R: Accrington, Dagenham & Redbridge

2014 World Cup Qualifying
If you're talking purely on scoring record then he's done much better for England than United and in general he'd done pretty well for England. Also considering we play 4-3-3 nowadays who else will play on the left of the front three? Well maybe the Ox. Anyway pleased for McCarthy and despite his slight selfishness Sturridge deserves to at least have a run out.

The Wanted - Walks Like Rihanna
I quite like this! Its easily their 3rd best single! (You surely don't need me to state what the two best are) Not sure if it'll save them though.
-
Union J - Carry You
Ever since it was obvious they'd have a post-X Factor career I always thought they were basically going to replace The Wanted. Nowhere near as good as What Makes You Beautiful but I do actually really like this!

Just bought it :cheer: Like every other one it'll climb into the teens and then plummet and be nowhere to be seen in no time.

The End Of HMV
They should adopt Fopp's strategy of pricing, which I think they did but they should have tried that a bit earlier!

Adele's 21 outsells Morning Glory in the UK
To quote Will Young, I don't you can ever call that average! It says a lot that people are singing album tracks on things like the X Factor from 21 and people know them! Now that it has had time to settle in for a while I do think we can call it a 'classic' album now. I wouldn't say it is as culturally significant as What's The Story or Back To Black but you never sell THAT much unless it really is a phenomenon. There are albums like Back To Bedlam by James Blunt for example where it has songs like Goodbye My Lover and You're Beautiful where I see why they were liked by so many people but I listened to that entire album and most of the rest of it is a bit samey and there are no other standouts (don't like him myself anyway but you get my point) and that one was released in a higher sales climate as well!

I'm going for Xmas #1 again
I'll be honest when I say that I really do like your videos a lot (discovered you through charlieisocoolike) and I really admire what you do and the way you do it but I thought you have came across as a bit of a knob on twitter lately with your chart tweets (particularly by retweeting some people who said it to you thus your fans attack them) But listening to your new song and watching your latest video the other day reminded me why I liked you in the first place and I think you've earned a sale (and a re-follow) My friend is thinking of going to the event in Stratford and I would think about going with her but I'm going to a football that finishes halfway through it on that day. Then again if I still can't stop singing and thinking of "stupid, stupid, na na, na na, na na na" all week to the point of annoyance then I might might reconsider again :P

Stooshe - Waterfalls
LOL! As soon as I heard they were doing this song the first thing I thought was that they had 411ed themselves. Now that I've heard it I think it is quite a terrible cover! Oh well! Black Heart will be their Dumb if they do indeed end up like them (in a sense of people will remember that song for a while)

Premier League / Football League Thread 12/13
The problem is you're actually playing really well but you just don't have anyone to actually put the ball in the net! It must be frustrating for a Liverpool fan to watch all those crosses they're suddenly making right now when they just let someone who can put those in go out on loan! Reina at least needs competition as well as he's having more and more dodgy moments. May I point out that that's the first penalty we've managed to score so far this season btw.

2014 World Cup Qualifying
Well if we're playing a #10 then we're not playing 4-4-2 :P (its 4-4-1-1 there is a difference) 'twas a bit of an uninspiring performance but a good game to watch, the substitutions really baffled me though! Bringing on Daniel 'I'm the best playa eva!11!11' Sturridge and replacing Leighton Baines who had been one of our best players with Ryan Bertrand were a mystery to me. I really don't understand why Roy didn't start with Carrick in the two games. As for Cleverley he'll get there but he's just not there yet, the same with Welbeck. The player I really thought we could have done with wasn't Rooney, I'd say it was Carroll. We could do with Darren Bent hitting form again as well.

Yet their album will completely pwn Amelia and Tulisa's ones. The Killers is debatable.

Premier League predictions 2012/2013
1. (1) Manchester City 2. (2) Chelsea 3. (3) Manchester United 4. (4) Arsenal 5. (6) Newcastle United 6. (5) Tottenham 7. (9) Everton 8. (8) Liverpool 9. (7) Fulham 10. (16) Swansea 11. (12) Sunderland 12. (15) West Brom 13. (10) Stoke 14. (14) West Ham United 15. (11) QPR 16. (17) Wigan 17. (13) Aston Villa 18. (19) Norwich 19. (18) Southampton 20. (20) Reading Still think Chelsea will beat us to 2nd despite RVP tbh, I think City will still get the title because I think their back-up players are better than Chelsea and plus I remember Chelsea had an awesome start under Scolari and look what happened then! Who needs Harry Redknapp when there's Michael Laudrup? Sell Scott Sinclair for £6.2m and buy Pablo Hernandez for £5.5m! Its like he's using a real life FM Scout! The Chris Hughton factor makes me hope I'm wrong about Norwich.

Premier League predictions 2012/2013
1. Manchester City 2. Chelsea 3. Manchester United 4. Arsenal 5. Tottenham 6. Newcastle United 7. Fulham 8. Liverpool 9. Everton 10. Stoke 11. QPR 12. Sunderland 13. Aston Villa 14. West Ham United 15. West Brom 16. Swansea 17. Wigan 18. Southampton 19. Norwich 20. Reading So yeah last year I said "City will not win the title while Mancini is in charge" and I was very wrong about and hopefully I'm wrong in thinking they will retain the title despite the lack of more big name attacking players to sit on the bench for most season. Chelsea have certainly made done some good business in the close season and I agree with Josh with saying that they'll need to change their style now Drogba is gone (he always was a big game player, they'll certainly miss him) but I think De Matteo realises this and I think will certainly benefit Torres quite a lot (if all else fails they really should give Juan Mata a Steven Gerrard mask, that'll help him) Even if we do get Moura and RVP on top of Kagawa and Powell I'm not so confident about United this season. The main problem for me is not about the midfield that does need some major work, more depth and less reliance on Giggs and Scholes and is instead our defence as I really don't think Smalling and Jones are really quite at the level of filling in for Rio and Vidic just yet and I find it quite odd that we are linked with left backs rather than right backs as Rafael is our only natural right back and tbh I don't think he's good enough! Evra hasn't been as good lately, yes but playing Smalling or Jones at right back always frustrates me. Luckilly I do like De Gea a lot and I think he'll get better next season. If we do get RVP (I doubt it) then maybe I might be more optimistic[/endofentireparagraphaboutunited] Every new season I always see people underestimate Arsenal but for the first time I think most people will think they'll make the top four, even without RVP they do look better than Spurs, Newcastle and Liverpool if I'm honest. Spurs could go either way, I like AVB but I think and hope that sacking Redknapp for no reason bites them in the arse and I think they're on their way down rather than up the table. I didn't expect Newcastle to hold onto their players so the fact that they have makes me think they'll at least finish higher than Liverpool. I've put Fulham so high as I think that Fulham have taken the 'best of the rest' title from Bolton now (well maybe that goes to Newcastle come to think of it unless you consider them part of the teams up there now) and Martin Jol has a decent squad even without Pogbregniak (yes spelt completely wrong I know) I really hope Liverpool stick with Rodgers and give him time as Kenny Dalglish has just made their squad even worse with his obsession with buying overpiced English players without thinking where about how they'll fit in the team! It'll be at least a couple of seasons before you can turn that side into Champions League contenders again. If I see the headline "QPR injury crisis" I'll eat my hat as they have signed everyone (mostly old biddies) so their squad is now massive and I fully expect them to do better than last season. The teams from West Ham below could be in any order tbh. There won't be a team like Wolves this season that'll be bottom by a distance but Reading will tail off towards the end of the season and will be first team to go. I really want Norwich to do better as I like Chris Hughton but I think second season syndrome will hit them harder than Swansea. Top Goalscorers: 1. Aguero 2. Torres 3. Rooney Championship: P - Bolton, Middlesbrough, Brighton R - Peterborough, Millwall, Barnsley League One: P - Colchester, Coventry, Sheff Utd R - Portsmouth (if they even survive the season) , Shrewsbury, Walsall, Bury League Two: P - Exeter, Cheltenham, Fleetwood, Oxford R - Torquay, Barnet (hope not as I walk past their training ground that'll soon be their new ground quite a bit these days) So yeah I'm bored at an unusually quiet Monday at work so I thought I'd a tl;dr analysis and some lower division stuff, hope it actually makes some sense.

Amelia Lily - You Bring Me Joy
How is it fresh in the slightest? Its probably one of the most generic songs out there right now. I agree that she sounds very bored on it as well. I think Misha B's song is the best out of a bad bunch tbh.

Take That money and keep it!
This and the Michael Gove's leadership manife... I mean ridiculous thing where he wants to change GCSEs back to O Levels in the hope it'd 'raise standards' (they're definitely not 'too easy' anyway) are around at the moment to distract from the doctors striking today. We're not all fooled unfortunately.
