I'd guess it will more likely sell up to 3000. The CDs were much cheaper and only sold 11000 with three versions - most people bought multiple copies so i'd say there might have been less than 4000 individuals purchasing the CDs. I haven't gone for it yet as £15 plus postage for a 7" is steep - if it was a 12" with more tracks I probably would buy it.

Just nonsense. If people buy a record its much more of a genuine hit than if people accidentally play it because its on a paid for Playlist. Playlists should be excluded from chart figures and only paid for single chosen streams should count. This is the reason hardly anyone has heard of the new longest number one single in the UK - they may have heard it on a playlist but they never chose to listen to it and wouldn't seek it out otherwise. Streaming is in no way a barometer of popular songs, merely what songs are on the most Playlists and how high up they are. If artists want to bite back by releasing CDs that fans might collect - good for them. Until the streaming rules are sorted its all fair game.

WOW - that's crazy low - you would think with the fans for both Madonna and Kylie who will be buying multiple versions separately, it would be a lot higher. Come on guys!!

So if we look at last week's sales - only X should stay top 40. Would still be great. I'm just happy to have them all on vinyl - I just need Abbey Road Sessions really.

Dannii ● UK Chart Runs & Sales
I didn't know this! I've just checked my Official Singles Chart The Nineties book against the OCC charts for that week and there are loads of different places starting with Kim Mazelle and Jocelyn Brown with No More Tears downgraded from a new entry at 15 to 18. Not sure how this could be changed from 1994 stats at the time

Kylie ● UK Chart Runs & Sales

So bloody happy!!! Listening to this chart (for the first time in years) has taken me back to the 80s/90s!!! 8 number 1s - didn't see that coming in 2025! Well done Queen Kylie xxx

It still annoys me that they have replaced Kylie's Santa Baby with Eartha Kitt's original version on the playlists. It was never a hit in the UK whereas Kylie's was and could be doing much better annually at Christmas...

It makes a change from Spotify fixing stuff. If you don't get (high) on the Spotify playlists you wont have a hit. Kylie is playing the game in the streaming era. She is using Spotify tactics on Amazon. Really pleased to see it. I wish we were back in the days of only physical sales counting when we had 1 or 2 CD singles, a 7inch and a 12 inch and cassette...

Same. I don't think we can be complacent and assume she has it yet. Most fans will have already downloaded and bought - so the sales will be lower for Wednesday and Thursday. She is only on Amazon for streams and Wham are top on there as well as other platforms. Kylie even went down a place from 4 to 5 on the Amazon chart. So it could still be very close. I pray she gets it but i'm not counting my chickens!

XMAS is hardly rubbish. It's a good catchy Christmas song with a great video and some easy choreography. You'd struggle to name any Christmas songs that people don't think are naff outside of Christmas - especially the classics that were even naffer back when they were first released!

Friday Chart Predictions
Would blow my mind if Kylie gets it but I wouldn't be surprised at Spotify trying to ruin it and prevent an Amazon exclusive from making headlines. Crossing everything for Kylie and an 8th Number 1 and first XMAS number 1!

Isn't this a Parlophone release ? - so not down to BMG who smashed it with her last 5 albums!
