Beatles Rubber Soul is at no. 7 on iTunes costing £9.99. You might think there has been a price reduction, but this is the 2009 issue. The 2026 mix is at no. 17 costing £10.99. However the Super Deluxe version is nowhere to be seen, not even in the Top 200 ROCK albums chart. Rather strange.

I see Paul McCartney is doing a Taylor Swift by issing a Special Digital Edition of The Boys Of Dungeon Lane with 4 bonus tracks. But why release it on a Wednesday? The CD version is not available until Wednesday 9th December.

Blossoms have caught up by 238 copies. The gap is narrowing.

On iTunes Blossoms are at nos. 1 and 2 but the Beatles are only at numbers 9 and 22. Could the Blossoms be number one by Friday?

From the OCC The Beatles' 1965 classic Rubber Soul may secure the Number 1 spot, 60 years on from its last appearance at the top. Re-released as an expanded special edition, the project brings together 24 early session recordings - including 20 previously unreleased takes - plus three previously unheard home demos. This contains early versions of iconic tracks like Day Tripper and We Can Work It Out, as well as a previously unheard John Lennon demo titled, Little Girl. Rubber Soul spent a total of eight consecutive weeks at Number 1 in 1965 and was their sixth chart-topping record in all at the time. It was also recently revealed by Official Charts as the sixth most-streamed album of the 1960s. Their last Number 1 album came back in October 2019, when Abbey Road rebounded back to the top. With more weeks at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart than any other act, can The Beatles roll back the years and reign supreme once again?

Blossoms have reduced the price of their album on iTunes to £4.99. They must think they have a chance of going to number one this week. On Amazon the Beatles Rubber Soul has sold 1,000 and 400 and 100 and 50 copies (nos. 1 and 4 and 20 and 72) The Blossoms have sold 200 vinyl copies (no. 2). CD version not in top 100 best sellers list. So it is all down to streaming equivalent sales.

Are you allowed to publish the BPI certs from UKChartsPlus as they pay a licence to the OCC? And BPI get their info from the OCC. Is this information not BPI copyright?
